    The oven door opens and Piper and Phoebe peer in. "Damn it, these ones are burned, too!" Piper says. She's making cookies for her friend's baby shower that she's hosting. Phoebe decides to bug Piper about having a baby, which Piper says she doesn't want to have "with demons dropping in all the time." As if on cue, Cole arrives and warns Piper and Phoebe of a chameleon demon, one that can transform into any object to spy on people. So Piper blows up a chair. Oops, that wasn't a demon, that was Paige's chair. Then a lamp near the girls morphs into a demon and flings the two across the room. Cole tries to throw energy balls at the chameleon, but he dodges them, and they nearly kill Paige, who's walked in. The chameleon disappears, and Paige shrieks, "What the hell happened?" Piper tells her that the furniture just attacked them.
    Leo heals the wound Phoebe got after being thrown by the chameleon. The gang (Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, and Cole) discuss their options. Just as Piper suggests scrying using his blood, which they have plenty of, the doorbell rings. It's Becca, who's come to take Piper to the baby shower. Amid Phoebe's protests, Piper rushes off to the shower and leaves the other four to find the demon.
    In the underworld, the chameleon, whose name is Alaster, informs the Source on what he's found. The Source then asks Oracle which sister would be the most vulnerable to his plan. She replies that the eldest would, she has the most resistance to the craft.
    At the shower, Piper's having a blast, until Leo shows up, and tells her they need her now. "How are we supposed to have kids if I can't even be at someone else's baby shower?" Piper asks, annoyed. Leo gives her a shocked look.
    At home, the gang discusses more tactics. They all agree that they should capture the demon, but aren't sure how to make him talk. Phoebe says, "Maybe Piper could freeze him, and then unfreeze his head." But Piper has other ideas. She thinks they should tell the chameleon to offer the source a deal instead. "What kind of deal?" the others ask. "Well, something like we stop going after him, and he stops going after us." she says. Evidently, Piper has tired of her destiny and would like some other witches to take over now. Phoebe says they still need to keep fighting, for Prue.
    That night, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige are looking for the chameleon demon in an alley. They split up, and Piper goes off alone. Suddenly she screams, "Phoebe! Paige!" By the time her sisters get there, an unconscious Piper and the Source, who has taken the chameleon's form, disappear in a ball of fire.
    Piper wakes up with Leo standing over her- in a doctor's uniform. She asks him what he's wearing, and what they are doing there. He replies that she's at a mental hospital- her home. And he's her doctor- Dr. Wyatt. She gets confused and frustrated when the chameleon comes, and he's a doctor, too- Dr. Alaster. She tries to vanquish him and when that doesn't work, she tries to use her powers on him. Dr. Wyatt tells her that she's not a witch, and she doesn't have powers. Dr. Alaster sends her to isolation in a straitjacket, "so she doesn't hurt herself."
    In the Source's lair, he is standing over an unconscious Piper telling her, "You're not a witch. You only think you are." He is using his powers to project into her mind, so he can convince her to give up the Charmed Ones' powers.
    At home, Leo is trying desperately to sense Piper, but to no avail. Cole comes, covered in demon slime, and says "Piper's in the underworld. I think the Source has her." As Phoebe picks up the Book of Shadows, she has a premonition. "I saw the Source stealing the Book, and killing us. With our powers," she says. Paige wonders how he can get their powers, and Leo says by using the power relinquishing spell in the Book- it may have been burned three years ago, but it still exists in Piper's mind. Leo and Cole decide to go to the underworld to see if Leo can sense her there, and Phoebe and Paige decide to try some summoning spells.
    At the mental institution, Piper is restrained on a bed. Paige is next to her, also restrained. Dr. Alaster says that Phoebe and Paige are not her sisters, but she doesn't believe him, and still threatens to vanquish him. After he leaves, Phoebe comes and lets them out. She and Paige pretend to play along with Piper's witch "game," and Phoebe even grabs a broom "for flying." They go to the Attic, and Piper finds that their Book of Shadows is just a notebook with drawings in it. They escape out the window, and climb down the trellis. They run along the sidewalk, until Piper sees a guy grab a woman's purse and run across the street with it. Without thinking, she gives chase. Phoebe and Paige scream her name and she sees a car coming straight for her. She tries to freeze it, but the car hits her anyway.
    In the underworld, the Source smiles. "I believe she's just learned her lesson." he says. A drop of blood appears from the corner of Piper's mouth.
    At the Manor, Phoebe and Paige try the last summoning spell. Nothing has worked, and Phoebe is getting anxious. Then Paige gets an idea. "The Source likes to play tricks on people's minds." she says, "Maybe that's what he's trying to do, get into Piper's mind somehow." Phoebe gets her drift, "And if he can do that, why can't we?" she says, excitedly, flipping through the Book.
    At the mental institution, Piper wakes up to Dr. Alaster, who tells her what happened. He talks about her illness and then slyly brings up the idea that the spell that relinquishes magical powers will set her free from her delusions. She yells at him to get out, she's not gonna listen to him. Later, though, Dr. Wyatt comes. He seduces her with the promise that they will get married and have a daughter when she gets better, and then tells her he has a surprise for her.
    In the underworld, Leo and Cole have found the Source's lair and are waiting for the time to attack.
    At the institution, Drs. Wyatt and Alaster bring Piper out to the backyard, which has beautiful flowers and butterflies. They give her a notepad and pen, and tell her she can have this life, if she can remember the spell.
    Phoebe and Paige say the spell, and go into Piper's mind. "I think we made it." Phoebe says. "Either that, or we're in Mary Poppins' head." Paige says. Then they notice Piper and run over to her. They soothe her and tell her they're here, but she won't listen. "I don't have sisters!" she says. They try to stop her from saying the spell, but Dr. Alaster appears with two other doctors, who restrain Phoebe and Paige. Dr. Wyatt comes, and he and Dr. Alaster coerce Piper into saying the spell, which she must say three times. Amid her sisters' pleas not to, she says it once, twice...
    In the underworld, Leo and Cole attack the Source and Oracle. Cole throws a huge energy ball at the Source, but the Oracle intercepts it, and sacrifices herself for the Source. The Source roars, morphs into himself again, and disappears in a ball of fire. Leo runs over to Piper, and holds his hands over her head, and projects into Piper's mind.
    In Piper's mind, Leo appears. "Piper, don't!" he says, "Listen to your sisters. Trust them. Trust me. Don't say the spell." He reaches out with his hands, and heals Piper's wounds. Piper just looks at him for a second. Then she smiles, "Are you really my husband?" she asks. Leo smiles, "Yes." "And that would make you two really my sisters?" she asks. "Whether you like it or not!" Phoebe says, smiling. Finally they are ready to leave.
    Piper rushes down the stairs to the first floor at the Manor. After checking to make sure everything's in its place, she smiles at everyone. She tells them that she's sorry about Paige's chair and that she needs to accept her destiny. Phoebe and Paige tell her that she's not the only one who has trouble being a witch. She smiles at Leo, "Someday, maybe I could have a baby shower of my own?" she asks. Leo smiles and says they better start practicing. They both orb out, laughing.
