    In the underworld the source is not happy at all that the new Charmed ones have vanquished Shax, and he is blaming the oracle. The oracle tells him that there is still the 48hour window of opportunity open, and she could still turn evil. The source flames out with the idea to find Paige, read her soul and corrupt her, to turn her evil.
    At the hospital Shane suddenly wakes up from what looks like a bad dream. The light next to his bed is flickering. Suddenly the Source flames in and takes over his body. Paige then appears at the door of his room, looking scared and upset. She tells him that the most awful thing has happened and Shane comforts her. As they hug, we see Shane's eyes turn into the sources.
    Poor Leo is injured. He is in the kitchen with Piper and Phoebe with an ice pack held against his neck. Piper is still a little angry that their mom didn't tell them about Paige, but Phoebe is more understanding. Both of them are grilling Leo with questions about it.
    The door bell rings and they go to answer it. It's Darryl, who is asking where inspector Courtez is. Piper tells him the inspector is in Timbuktu, as it rhymed with undo. Cole then Shimmers in, closely followed by a bounty hunter. Cole kills the bounty hunter, and when asked by the others where Courtez is, he tells them that he is in a place where he can't tell a soul what he saw.. literally, and he looks down. Piper then figures out where Cole put the inspector and Leo says that they will have to save him. Darryl looks puzzled and does not have a clue what is going on, so Phoebe leads him to the door telling him that everything will be ok. Cole also adds that the inspector exposing them is not their only problem, as he heard Gargoyles that ward off evil. Cole suspects they are trying to ward off the Source, who he believes has surfaced. Leo suggests that he came for Paige, so Piper decides to go and look for her as Leo can't sense her because she is too new. So they go on the church that their mom told them about. Phoebe is not too pleased with going to look for her, but Piper says they have to, their mother would want them to, so would Prue.
    In her apartment Paige tells Shane to make himself at home as she should get to work. As she leaves Shane/the source reads her mind and says that he knows she wants to get to work for a hearing about an abusive father. She is a little surprised that he knows it, but jut thinks that she told him. When she leaves, the source kills her bird, then flames out, still in Shane's body.
    Inspector Courtez is on a ledge in a place that looks like hell. Leo and Cole appear and try to reason with him. Leo tells him to take his hand. At first he doesn't but Leo asks him where he could go that is worse then where he is, so reluctantly he takes Leo's hand and Leo orbs them out.
    Paige is at work at South Bay Social Services and is on the phone to her uncle. Her uncle tells her something but she is distracted as the abusive father walks in. Paige looks disgusted by him.
The abusive father is in the bathroom when Shane/The Source flames in. The source then leaves Shane's body and enters the abusive fathers body instead.
    Paige is still on the phone to her Uncle and asks him about the church she was left at, and a nun that works there called Sister Agnes, the nun who found her. Paige hangs up and tells her boss that he can't let the boy go home with the father. He explains that she isn't a social worker but she tells him that she is only an assistant because he is too cheap to make her a social worker. Through the window of the interview room paige and the abusive father/The Source stare at each other.
    At the manor it looks like Piper has found the church where Paige was left as a baby, and goes to look for Phoebe to tell her. She finds Phoebe in Prue's room. Phoebe tells Piper a story about her borrowing some of Prue's clothing and Piper getting the blame, then she breaks down in tears when she says that Prue will never know the truth. Piper was wondering when Phoebe was going to let go and Phoebe tells her that she didn't want to because one of them had to stay strong. The sisters then have a heart to heart and agree that they have to try and save Paige as she is their sister and sisters protect each other.
    At social services the meeting ends and Paige's boss comes out of the interview room he tells Paige they will meet again tomorrow and Paige is VERY angry that he's going to let the boy go home with his father. The father/source then comes out and he and Paige have an argument. Paige then storms off telling her boss she is going to church.
    In the bathroom of the social services the source in the father's body goes over to Shane's unconscious body. There is a man there asking for help as he thinks Shane might have fallen. The source kills the man, comes out of the father's body, and goes back into Shane's.
    Paige is at the doors of the church she was left at, we also see a gargoyle outside. Paige goes in and walks over to a woman who we find out is Sister Agnes. The nun realizes who Paige is and looks stunned.
    In the back room of the church the nun is searching through a box as Paige looks on. She tells Paige that she comes from angels and describes the bright lights by which her parents arrived. The nun then brings out a blanket with a "P" embodied on it and tells Paige that the only request that her mother had was that her name begin with a "P." Just then Piper and Phoebe come in and Piper freezes the nun. Phoebe notices the blanket and Piper wonders out loud if that was their blanket. Paige gets very possessive and tells them that it's hers and storms out.
    Piper and Phoebe follow her into the main area of the church and try to talk to her. She asks them to leave her alone but they won't go away. Piper then hints that they are sisters, but she doesn't listen. She does however listen when Phoebe tells her that she has a magical power. Piper tells her that she can move things with her mind, like Prue could so Paige asks them how it works. She tries waving her arms at it, and squinting but nothing seems to work, until she says the word candle, then the candle orbs into her hand. Phoebe and Piper think that this twist is probably because she is part whitelighter.
    Outside the church Shane/Source flames in, and we hear the oracle telling him that Paige is there. He is about to enter when he gets warded off by the Gargoyle. Piper, Phoebe and Paige hear the gargoyle from inside, and so the source manages to open the door. He calls Paige's name and tells her that something is after him, so Paige leaves with him. He hears Piper and Phoebe try to come and get her, but makes them skid across the floor of the church, where they meet a very angry Sister Agnes.
    At the police station Leo and Cole are still trying to reason with inspector Courtez when Darryl comes over. Courtez then goes on the phone asking for a round-the-clock surveillance team to watch Piper and Phoebe Halliwell who are murder suspects. Leo then hears Piper calling and makes Cole go with them. Darryl gets very angry when Courtez suggests that the girls are murderers, and pins Courtez to the wall . He says that they are the best people he has ever met, and he has risked everything for them, and that they do more good than he can ever imagine and that it cost them their sister. Some other police officers then surround them and Darryl calms down.
    Piper and Phoebe tell the boys that the source was at the church, and Cole can't imagine why he didn't kill her then. Leo then realizes about the window of opportunity, which is where a new witch who hasn't decided to use her power for good or evil can be swayed either way. When asked by Piper who makes up the stupid rules, Leo looks up and Cole looks down, so she dismisses it. Phoebe then realizes that they have less than 24 hours to find Paige, and also that the source is probably with her.
    Back at her apartment Paige is sitting on the sofa with Shane/Source who pretends he has no idea what is going on. He says to her that she is safe with him, and they kiss.
    Cole is looking out of the attic window at Courtez who is watching the house. He asks them if he can let Belthazar loose on him, but is not allowed. The girls can't seem to find a spell in the Book Of Shadows to help them, so Phoebe asks for "a little help" and the book opens to an enchantment spell that can reveal evil. They then look for something to enchant and Phoebe suggests a pair of sunglasses. They do so and Phoebe tries them out to see if they work. Leo looks no different, but when she looks at Cole she sees Belthazar. Cole tells them that he can sense the Source, and that might help them find Paige.
    Paige is in the shower. When she gets out she goes over to the mirror and the Source is trying to corrupt her. He tells her that she can do anything and tries to make her use her powers for evil.
Back at social services the hearing on the second day has finished and the parents of the little boy go outside, followed by a very stern looking Paige, who calls for his heart. The father then drops to his knees in agony.
    Piper, Phoebe, Leo and Cole turn up in the jeep. They see Paige and when Phoebe puts on the glasses she sees a black cloud around Paige. They go over to her and Leo orbs her out when she won't listen to them. When she gets orbed out, the father is ok, but looks at his wife. He tells her to stop abusing their child. It seems that she was the real criminal.
    Piper and Phoebe get back in the jeep and Cole says he will stay behind to make sure the Source doesn't follow them. When they leave the source, still in Shane's body comes out of the building and spots him. Cole looks around just as the Source flames out. Cole follows the Source into a street, and walks over to him. But the Source stabs him. He tells Cole that he wants Phoebe to see his last breath, and flames out leaving Cole dying on the street. Meanwhile, the Source asks the Oracle where Paige is.
    Back at the manor, Leo is having a hard time convincing Paige that she is not evil, as she it throwing knives at him. When she throws their mom's crystal, Piper gets mad and tackles her. With the help of Phoebe and Leo, they manage to restrain Paige. Piper has the idea to go and find a spell in the Book Of Shadows but as she is about to climb the stairs, Shane/Source appears. He throws Piper against the side of the stairs and she falls to the floor. He then tries to fire something at Phoebe but she Levitates and it misses her. Leo helps Piper up and she blows up the Source. But it doesn't work and he gets back together. Paige is getting more and more freaked out and when she asks Shane what is going on, the Source uses his voice to tell her everything is ok. But she doesn't believe him and tells him to stay away from her. The source then turns into the abused boy's mother, and asks for help, then the boy himself, but when Phoebe tries to stop him, he fires something at her. She is suspended in mid-air in a ball of lightning. Paige sees this and hits the image of the boy which stops the attack on Phoebe.
    The clock then strikes, the 48 hours are up, and Paige is good. Piper reminds the source who has come out of Shane's body that blood is thicker than evil, but the Source tells her that he has broken the Charmed circle before, and he can do it again. The Source then adds that it was not a full loss, thanks to Belthazar. Suddenly Inspector Courtez appears behind them with a video camera and The Source fires something at him. He is impaled on a coat hook and the Source flames out. Leo runs over to the inspector and Courtez tells him that evil has won again, but Leo heals him. Paige is amazed, but Leo tells her that this is what whitelighters do, heal good people. Phoebe then runs out saying she has to find Cole.
    Piper, Phoebe, Paige and Leo are running down a street to try and find Cole. They spot him and when Phoebe runs over to him, he is nearly dead. Piper freezes him and Phoebe tells Leo to heal him, but Leo says he can only heal his human half, and it might not be enough. Paige then suggests that because she is half whitelighter she could offset his other half. It works and Cole is saved.
    Back at the police station, Inspector Courtez comes in and walks over to Darryl with his video camera. He then takes out the tape and hands it to Darryl. The sisters will not be exposed.
    At P3 Piper, Leo, Phoebe and Cole are all sitting around the same table. Phoebe tells Cole not to scare her like that again and Piper looks far away. Leo asks her what is up and she tells them that it doesn't feel right, as they haven't had a chance to mourn yet for Prue. She also adds that she is not sure weather or not she wants to continue with her destiny. Phoebe and Leo say it's ok with them and that it's her decision.
    Paige comes over, and Leo and Cole leave as they think the girls need to be alone for a bit. Paige tells them she broke up with Shane. Phoebe then asks her why she went to Prue's funeral. Paige tells them it was because she felt like she lost her too, and she was drawn to her. Also she was trying to find out who she was. Piper and Phoebe tell her they have something to show her, what good magic can do.
    In the attic of the manor Piper and Phoebe call upon someone and their mother appears. They tell her she has someone to meet. Paige looks at her and her mom whispers "Paige." They hug and her mother welcomes her home.
