"Okay, whoa, obviously somebody
needs a Midol!"
-Prue
It would seem
that Cole has fallen hard for the youngest Halliwell, because as he lies
in bed awake, Phoebe lies next to him. She is wondering again about the
secret he is hiding from her. She
reassures
him that whatever it is, he can share it with her. But as they both sit
up, Cole returns to his demon form and attacks her.
Suddenly Cole
wakes up. It was all just a dream. But standing in his room is a member
of the Triad. He is rather angry that Cole has failed in his previous tries
to eliminate the Halliwell sisters. He explains, in a not so subtle way,
that if Cole doesn't finish the job that he started, then he will be dead.
It's kill or be killed now.
Over at P3 the
next night, the Halliwell sisters conference about the Triad and the evil
agents that are after them. Prue, as always, seems the most concerned and
tries hard to get her sisters' attention. But Phoebe is zoning, wondering
why Cole is so late. Finally he shows up, but Prue refuses to let the subject
drop. She wants all of them to practice their demon fighting. In order
to continue the
conversation
she starts calling it an earthquake drill once Cole arrives. She wants
to do the earthquake drill the next day. Piper has a doctor's appointment,
but Prue persuades her to miss it. Phoebe needs Prue's car in order to
get home from school for the drill and Prue reminds her once more to fill
the gas tank before she returns it. But now Piper is worried about the
home owners meeting at their house the next day. As Phoebe tries to talk
to the flustered DA, Prue asks Phoebe if she can cover the meeting. Phoebe
refuses, until Prue threatens to take the car back. Phoebe relents then
turns back to Cole. But by now his mind is on other things. He has seen
the sisters' Achilles Heal, their underlying frustration with each other.
He will use it to drive them apart. He brushes off Phoebe, much to her
disappointment, and quickly makes his exit.
The next morning
the girls are eating breakfast together. Phoebe tells her sisters that
Cole is avoiding her. But Piper reminds her that Cole must really love
her. Prue got that feeling from him
when
she was an empath.
Their conversation
is interrupted though when Belthazar bursts in. Phoebe lets loose with
one of her levitating kicks and eventually Piper slashes him with a dagger,
hoping to get some of his flesh for a spell. But as she does the demon
disappears in a flash of white light and there stands Leo. Prue is happy
with their practice and only has a few minor complaints. But Piper refuses
to do it again. She wants to have a boyfriend left at the end of the day.
As they get ready to go, Prue and Phoebe realize that neither of them can
get the food for the homeowner's meeting. They both look to Piper. But
once again, she has a doctor's appointment. Nobody seems to care though,
and so she ends up with the job.
Back at his
apartment, Cole has summoned the demon Andras. He can use people's own
anger against them, infecting them with rage. Cole wants him to break the
bond between the Charmed
Ones.
Andras seems only too happy to oblige.
Returning to
the car after class, Phoebe finds Cole there waiting for her. He wants
to have an early dinner with her. Phoebe is worried about bailing on Piper,
but eventually agrees. As she gets ready to leave, Cole waves his hand,
thereby messing with Prue's car and causing it to leak gasoline. Poor Phoebe
is about to return a car with an empty tank yet again.
At the manor,
Piper is anxiously trying to cook more food for her ornery guests. Prue
comes and goes as Piper tries to survive the neighbors' constant bickering.
Just then she spots Phoebe. Her younger sister begs her to take over the
meeting so that she can go out with Cole. She wants to talk to him about
where the relationship is going. Once again, Piper agrees to do something
someone else should have done. Phoebe disappears up the stairs to get ready
and Piper enlists Leo's help. But then he is called away. Piper is none
too happy about getting left alone and she glances over at the neighbors
with serious contempt.
Not long after, Piper is still trying to mediate between the bickering
people in her living room. Phoebe waves good-bye and Piper realizes that
her sister is wearing her earrings. But its too late to catch her. Just
then Andras appears at the window. He sees Piper struggling to get control
of the situation and throws something resembling a dark cloud at her, thus
infecting her with some serious rage. Piper turns on the neighbors and
after throwing her food at them, she finally sends them packing.
Phoebe and Cole
sit in some nice club somewhere, discussing their pasts. Phoebe tells him
about her childhood and her mother's death. As she talks, Cole begins to
see how much her sisters mean to her. He, on the other hand, will not say
much about his past. Apparently he lost his family when he was young.
Prue returns
home, her cell phone glued to her ear as she tries to explain to her boss
why she didn't make the photo shoot. Apparently her car ran out of gas.
As soon as she tells him that the shoot will be at P3 the next day, Piper
takes the phone from her and hangs up on him. Prue is stunned and rather
angry, but certainly not as angry as Piper. But all that is about to change.
Piper tosses
Prue's camera lens onto the floor just as Andras arrives to infect Prue.
Piper's Cuisinart flies as Prue smashes it onto the ground. Both of them
glare at each other.
Outside, Phoebe
kisses Cole, then says good-bye. Upon entering the house, she is rather
confused by her sisters' behavior. Both of them turn their attack on her.
Prue's mad that her car had no gas and Piper's angry that the world seems
to revolve around Phoebe. Unfortunately for the trio, Andras next
manages
to infect Phoebe with rage. She quickly lets loose on her sisters and pretty
soon things have gotten out of hand. Piper accuses Phoebe of never amounting
to anything. Phoebe accuses Piper of being too big of a baby to ever leave
for college. And Prue is sick of having to take care of them both.
The last straw
is when Piper steals back her earring. Phoebe attempts one of her flying
kicks on her sister, but Piper pushes her back into Prue. Phoebe then throws
Prue's camera, which Prue deflects back towards her. Phoebe levitates and
the camera nearly hits Piper. But Piper manages to freeze it. Still within
seconds it has unfrozen and smashed into the wall. The sisters stare at
each other for a moment and then Phoebe runs out of the house. Up in the
attic, the triquatra, the symbol on the front cover of the Book of Shadows,
separates into three different pieces.
Later on that
night, Piper helps Prue clean up their mess. Leo arrives wondering
what happened. Even the whitelighers felt the disturbance. As they talk,
Prue and Phoebe realize their powers are gone. Leo explains that when they
used their powers against each other it severed the power of three. They
are totally vulnerable now.
Phoebe arrives
at Cole's teary eyed, still upset over the fight. He reluctantly lets her
in as she starts to tell him what happened.
Back at the
manor, Prue, Piper and Leo find Andras in the book. As they read over his
description, they come to realize that it was their own anger that allowed
him to work his magic on them. Their resentment towards each other was
part of the problem.
As Phoebe continues
to tell Cole what happened, Cole wanders over to a corner and grabs a
dagger.
He hides it in his waist belt as he sits down next to Phoebe. They start
to kiss and he pulls it out, poised to kill her. But he cannot. He hides
the knife again, then pulls away, telling her to return to her sisters,
to figure out what happened between them. Phoebe finally leaves, but not
before Andras sees her kiss Cole good-bye. The demon threatens to turn
Cole in. But when Cole transforms into Belthazar, Andras decides to posses
him instead and go after the sisters himself.
Meanwhile, Prue
and Piper start to worry when they cannot find Phoebe. Piper is upset as
she remembers their mom, and realizes that early deaths seem to run in
their family. But then Phoebe returns. Prue and Piper quickly explain what
has happened, how they managed to lose their powers. Leo reminds them that
they must restore their bond. So as he leaves they warily glance at one
another.
Finally Piper starts off the apologies and pretty soon they all seem to
be on good terms once again.
But then of
course the possessed demon shows to break up the party. They frantically
try to use their powers, only to realize that they still are not working.
Prue urges her sisters to leave, but Piper and Phoebe agree to stick by
her. It is then that the triquatra returns to its normal state. The power
of three has been restored. They quickly kick some demon butt, knocking
Andras right out of Belthazar. The girls watch in amazement as the demonic
DA kills Andras then turns on them. Piper manages to use his dagger against
him, thereby getting a piece of his flesh. But he tosses her to the ground
just before Prue tosses him out the window. Just out of their sight, Belthazar
transforms back into Cole, then disappears.
At P3 later
on, the sisters sit once again. They all agree that they should communicate
more, instead of bottling up their anger. Phoebe mentions that the neighbors
managed to work things out after Piper's interesting mediation techniques.
She even goes so far as to suggest that Piper take all of the meetings.
But Piper quickly refuses. She's gotten a lot better at saying no in the
last couple days. Meanwhile, Phoebe still puzzles over Cole. She vows to
figure him out.
Unfortunately
for Cole, he has been called back by a very angry Triad. They realize that
he squandered the perfect opportunity to destroy the Charmed Ones. And
now they are going to destroy him. But with the dagger and a little quick
work, Cole manages to kill all of them, before letting loose with an agonizing
screams.
