"For Piper."
                                                    -Prue and Phoebe

"But with all due respect, this isn't about you and Patty. It's about me and Piper. Now I love her with all my heart and I promise to keep loving her and taking care of her for the rest of this life, the after life and whatever comes after that. Now you may not support it and you may not agree with it but it is not going to stop me from marrying your daughter today. Nothing will."

-Leo

"Leo I was born to love you and I always will."

-Piper

Late one night Prue and Phoebe are getting ready for Piper's wedding, trying to decorate the manor for the next day's festivities. Grams has shown up to give her opinions as they try to place the wedding arch in the living room. Unfortunately poor Prue is yawning through most of the preparations. Her sleep has been interrupted by strange dreams about a cute and dangerous biker guy.
Piper finally comes downstairs and comments on how beautiful everything looks. However, she still wishes that her mom could be present. But there's nothing anybody can do. Phoebe, however has placed a picture of Patty at the altar just so that she's there in spirit.
Piper's a little surprised that her wedding is finally happening, especially since she almost called it off numerous times. If one more bad thing had happened, she would take it as a sign that her marriage to Leo just wasn't meant to be. But now it seems that it is. As Prue and Phoebe go up to bed, Grams reminds Piper that tomorrow she will be Mrs. Halliwell. The women in their family always keep their last names (thus ends the controversy over whether Piper Halliwell will become Piper Wyatt).
That night Prue once again dreams about her mystery man, TJ. She's in a bar playing pool when she sees him again. It's obvious from their kiss that they've become close, but she still refuses to tell him her name. Finally she leaves, but as she does a man follows her out, wanting the money she won in a game. She hits him over the head with a board, then suddenly astrals away. Back at the manor Prue is jolted awake.
The next morning Piper awakens to find her bed covered in rose petals. She grins as Phoebe comes into the room, carrying breakfast for her older sister. They're both extremely excited and Phoebe launches herself onto the bed, bouncing on it with Piper. Prue comes in soon enough and tells her sisters about her latest dream. Piper is immediately worried that there's a demon behind the whole mess. But Prue assures her that it was just a dream, then she follows Phoebe out the door, tossing the rose petals at Piper.
Elsewhere in San Fran, the police have shown up at the biker bar. The man who attacked Prue is dead, and Prue has been caught on tape hitting him. TJ insists that the girl who's name he can't tell them, did not murder anyone. But the police don't seem to believe him.
Back in the manor, Prue and Phoebe work away in the kitchen. Phoebe has found Melinda Warren's blessing cup as their "something old" for Piper's wedding. After a moment she mentions that Cole will be arriving soon. Prue is surprised. Cole has been invited to the wedding, but she maintains that the moments leading up to it are for family. Just then they hear Piper yelling. They run out of the kitchen.
Poor Piper is huddled behind the railing of the stairs, her hair in curlers. Leo has arrived and she's desperately trying to hide from him, even though she has yet to put on her wedding dress. She tells him to go away then races back up the stairs as her sisters appear.
Leo is ready to change into his whitelighter robe for the wedding. But Prue and Phoebe insist he go the more traditional route. And so they've rented him a tux for the occasion. Moments later Victor arrives. He hugs his daughters, then gives a cold hello to Leo. As they chat, Prue suddenly gets dizzy. Everyone seems worried, but Phoebe quickly escorts her father and Leo down to the basement to get ready. Then she returns to her older sister, obviously concerned. Prue admits that something is wrong with her. She is tired all the time now and her dreams are so real. But she and Phoebe agree that they can't tell anyone. If anything goes wrong, they worry that their sister might call off her own wedding. They have to get through the day for Piper. Finally Phoebe sends Prue upstairs to get some rest while she goes back to work.
Up in her room, Prue falls asleep. She astrals into the bar then and meets up with TJ who tells her about the murder. Prue insists she didn't do it and they hurry out to his motorcycle, ready to run off together. But the cops show up before they can leave. As Prue is hauled away in handcuffs she finally tells TJ her name.
Back at the manor Phoebe finds her sleeping sister and hastily tries to wake her up. The astral Prue realizes what is happening, then suddenly disappears from the back of the police car. Prue wakes up in her room.
Prue tells her youngest sister about her dream and they agree to consult the book of shadows. But they still refuse to tell Piper. Unfortunately she catches them on their way up to the attic. Something's wrong she can already tell. They insist that they were simply going up to get her the traditional something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Luckily, she seems to believe them. And then suddenly Cole appears, shimmering in right beside Piper. He's brought a gift for her... :)
Down in the basement Leo and Victor are getting ready. It's obvious that neither is comfortable with the other. Victor is still bitter about the whitelighter who took Patty from him. Leo is sorry that happened to him, but he insists that he loves Piper and that he'll take care of her no matter what. He will not let Victor stop him from marrying her, because he loves her more than anything. Victor seems to soften as he realizes that Leo is speaking the truth. He helps his new son in law with his tie, then comments that he might be able to get used to a whitelighter in the family. As Cole appears, Leo asks him his opinion on demons.
Up in her room, Piper is just putting the finishing touches on her outfit. Suddenly her mother appears behind her. Piper is stunned, realizing that she's not a ghost. Patty explains that after all the elders put Piper and Leo through, they wanted to give something back, and so they sent Patty down, just for the wedding day. As Piper stares at her mom, Patty sees that Piper is wearing her hair the same way she herself wore it on her wedding day. Piper explains that she did that on purpose. Patty smiles and tells her middle daughter that she always knew Piper would get married first. She is, after all, the heart of the family. Finally Piper seems to realize that she's not dreaming, and as she starts to cry, she reaches out to hug her mother.
A few moments later Prue and Phoebe come in. They seem even more surprised then Piper was, as their sister explains the situation. Patty tells Prue how proud she is that Prue took care of the family, and she tells Phoebe that she always knew her baby would be okay. On the day Phoebe was born, Patty had a premonition of this very moment. She saw herself hugging her daughters. And that is exactly what they do.
Downstairs Grams is growing impatient. Prue and Phoebe hurry down and the wedding seems on the verge of starting when the doorbell rings. It's Darryl. He quickly tells the sisters that Prue is wanted for murder. They realize that something is terribly wrong, but Prue insists they go through with the wedding before they straighten everything else out. They drag Darryl inside and he stands next to Cole. Then suddenly Patty comes down, much to Victor's surprise. And then finally the music starts and Piper appears at the top of the stairs. Victor escorts her to the altar where Leo is waiting. And so the ceremony begins.
Unfortunately, seconds later, TJ arrives on his motorcycle. He bursts through the door, as tables and glasses fly through the air. Piper's eyes widen as Prue collapses and her astral form suddenly appears. The astral Prue hops on TJ's bike and as they ride off, the entire wedding cake falls to the floor. The house falls into silence and no one knows what to say. Finally Piper starts making a noise, and when she eventually finds her voice she calls off the wedding. Pulling her dress out from under Phoebe's feet, she heads for the door. Phoebe and Leo chase after her, but Piper explains that if her own sister could ruin her wedding, then the marriage obviously wasn't meant to be. There's nothing anyone can say and so she leaves.
Phoebe returns to their guests, realizing just how defeated Piper is feeling. Grams has to leave and after telling everyone that Prue is wanted for murder, Darryl slips out of the house. Victor wonders whether some higher power is trying to spare Piper and Leo later pain. He thinks maybe Piper is right. But Leo doesn't believe that. He sends Victor and Patty after their middle child, sits Phoebe down with the book, then leaves with Cole to find the real killer.
Together Cole and Leo appear at the bar. Cole believes that the real killer must have knifed the victim after Prue hit him. It only takes a few minutes for Cole to pick him out. He can sense true killers and so he sends Leo to find Darryl.
Patty and Victor find their poor daughter sitting on a stool in P3, still in her wedding dress. Piper apologizes for letting everyone down. But her parents explain that she didn't let anyone down, but that she and Leo are meant to be together. Piper doesn't believe them. She looks at what happened to her parents' marriage and wonders if that will happen to her and Leo. Victor tells her that no matter what happened with him and Patty, the best days of his life were with his family and he believes that his destiny was to have his three daughters. But that doesn't seem to convince Piper. She just wants to be alone.
Back at the manor, Phoebe finally finds a spell to bring Prue back. Her sister, meanwhile, is at some park with TJ. She explains how sick she is of her responsibilities. Then they kiss. But then Prue realizes that something is wrong. She runs away from him and disappears as Phoebe calls her back. She reappears in the manor, angry at Phoebe for making her return.
Phoebe accuses her of destroying Piper's wedding along with Piper. But Prue just wants to be free. She's sick of having to take care of everything. After pretty much coming to blows, she and Phoebe finally calm down and discuss things. Phoebe explains that Prue has to stop devoting herself entirely to her family and their Wiccan ways. Because of Prue, she and Piper are doing fine, and now Prue needs to concentrate on herself. Finally Prue seems to agree with her and she disappears. The other Prue on the couch wakes up. She's horrified at what she's done to Piper. But Phoebe insists that it will all be okay. Unfortunately, before they have a chance to fix things the cops come in and arrest Prue for murder.
Prue, still in her bridesmaid dress, is booked for murder. Meanwhile Leo and Darryl show up at the bar. The killer's still there, but there's not much they can do to him. Cole tells them to wait a few minutes as he follows the man out of the building. After chatting with the killer, Cole abruptly turns into Belthazor, demanding that the man confess to what he has done. He does so rather quickly and Darryl comes out to arrest him (okay, how this confession would stand up at trial is anyone's guess, but it seems to be enough to get Prue off the hook :).
It is nearing midnight back at the manor and Prue, Piper and Darryl are all still missing. The house is dark as Patty tries to fix the cake up. Grams arrives, reluctantly telling the crowd that she has to take her daughter back. But there are still five minutes left in the day. Suddenly Prue and Darryl arrive... with Piper a few steps behind. She tells her fiancé not to look so shocked as everyone hurries to their positions.
As Piper and Leo stand at the altar, Victor volunteers to be his best man. Leo happily agrees. Unfortunately, the power is still out (hey they live in California, right? :) but Grams whips up some music with wind chimes and Leo adds a little sparkle to the lights. Finally Grams is able to start the handfasting ceremony. As Prue, Phoebe and everyone else look on Piper and Leo say their vows. The clock strikes midnight and they kiss as sparks rain down around them. Patty and Victor look at each other and smile. At least one of their daughters has found her true love.
