"Saving lives was more important
to him than having a life of his own. Now his life is over and I can't
help but feel responsible for that."
-Piper
In the kitchen
at Halliwell Manor, Piper is reading over yet another letter from Dr.
Williamson,
the man who treated her for the Arroyo Fever a few months before. Since
Leo saved her from the fatal illness, the good doctor has spent all of
his time trying to figure out how Piper survived. Unable to tell him the
truth, Piper has been throwing his letters away. And so now she throws
this one away also. Phoebe comes in as the letter gets tossed, searching
for her box of granola. She finds it in the trash and Piper sheepishly
confesses that Leo's been eating it all. Phoebe wants some ground rules
though, now that Leo seems to be living with them.
Prue comes in
after a moment and asks Phoebe about Evan Stone. Turns out he's an actor
and one of Phoebe's many dream men. Too bad for Phoebe, her older sister
Prue will
be
the one who gets to meet him when she takes his picture at her next photo
shoot. Phoebe is obviously jealous. As the two leave the kitchen, Piper
asks Prue if she thinks Leo is living with them. Prue answers of course,
but she doesn't mind as long as Piper is happy.
In his lab,
Dr. Williamson in continuing experiments with the blood of the Halliwell
sisters. He mixes all of their blood together and prepares to inject it
into one of the three monkeys he's been working with. Unfortunately for
him, the monkey he chooses is the one that he's already injected Prue's
blood into. The monkey moves her arm and the needle goes
into the doctor's neck, injecting him with the Halliwell's blood. He yells
at the monkeys and blood bottles fly. A few minutes later a doctor comes
in, wanting him to stop the experiment. Dr. Williamson is stunned when
the other doctor freezes. He has obviously gained the sisters' powers,
even if he doesn't yet know it. Too bad for him, the other doctor wants
him to discontinue his experiments. He knows that Dr. Williamson's sister
is sick and that he must be under a lot of stress. But never the less he
kicks him out of the lab.
At her photo
shoot, Prue is nearly thrown off the set when Evan Stone's assistant realizes
that her press pass is only temporary. Lucky for Prue, the woman is willing
to call the magazine to check on her. As she does Prue starts to talk to
Evan.
Back at the
Manor, Phoebe is rifling through Piper's closet. Leo orbs in, and without
realizing
which sister he is talking to, he asks Phoebe if she's ever done it on
a cloud. Needless to say he is rather embarrassed when Pheebs turns around.
As he goes in search of Piper, Phoebe adds orbing in unannounced to her
list of complaints.
Dr. Williamson
decides to call Piper and he tries to convince her to come in for more
tests. When she refuses, he angrily sends more things flying.
Downstairs,
Leo finds Piper. She seems upset, and when he questions her about it, he
learns about Dr. Williamson. Piper tries not to worry though, because she
knows that the doctor will never find out about Leo and his role in saving
her life. Leo tries to take her
mind
off of everything. He's there not for evil, demony reasons, but because
he wants to spend the day with her.
Back at the
hospital, Dr. Williamson gets a call from his sister's nurse. His sister's
condition has worsened. As he leaves the office, the Prue monkey astral
projects out of her cage.
Prue is finally
starting to take photos of Evan. She smiles as she spots a monkey who seems
to have slipped onto the set. But then as she watches, the monkey astral
projects and disappears. Prue is stunned and quickly leaves. As she is
going to her car though, Evan comes chasing after her. She has forgotten
her keys. As he returns them, a photographer
captures
the moment on film.
Prue returns
home and finds Phoebe looking over some flowers that Evan has sent her.
Phoebe is sure something has happened between them, after all she has seen
Notting Hill. But Prue assures her that it's nothing. Then she calls Piper
and Leo in. She tells them about the monkey. Her sisters are amused and
Leo explains that the monkey would have to have her power to find her.
Prue then tells them about the wristband she spotted on the monkey's arm.
It had a rose symbol on it. With dismay Piper pulls one of her letters
out of the the trash. It has the same symbol on the letter head. As Prue
and Phoebe go in search of the BoS, Leo disappears leaving Piper alone
in the kitchen.
Dr. Williamson
has come to check on his sister. Her husband, a police man, is also there.
He is angry that as he sits by his wife's bedside, watching her die, criminals
are getting off on technicalities. And yet his wife can't find the kidney
she desperately needs. Dr. Williamson reaches out to soothe the man but
as soon as he touches him he has a premonition of the man having a heart
attack. Seconds later he does. As the nurses and other doctors work to
help him, Dr. Williamson leaves, promising to save his sister also. Then
he goes into one of the offices and asks a secretary for the names of all
the criminals released from the jail ward.
Meanwhile, Prue,
Piper and Phoebe let themselves into the lab and quickly spot the three
monkeys.
Each cage has one of their names on it. As they search the lab they find
files with the word Halliwell printed across them and vials of their own
blood. Then suddenly the Prue monkey waves her arm and a banana is lifted
off of the ground. The Piper monkey waves her hand and it freezes. All
three of the sisters are a little surprised. They quickly take the monkeys
out of their cages. And then Phoebe has a premonition of Williamson throwing
things around the room. They now know that he is using Prue's power.
As the sisters
come to this realization, Dr. Williamson is busy stealing a kidney. He
has come knocking on the door of a former jail ward patient. He tosses
him across the room, then gets out the scalpel.
Back at the
hospital, Piper freezes people as they try to escape with the monkeys.
They hide them in a laundry hamper and are just about to leave when everything
unfreezes. Prue suddenly notices a picture of herself and Evan Stone on
TV. The news is reporting that she's his new girlfriend. They also over
hear the nurses talking about Dr. Williamson and how he saved his brother
in law with clairvoyance. Obviously Williamson has all of their powers.
Piper asks where she might find him and is directed towards the secretary's
office. There they find the list of names from the jail ward.
Dr. Williamson
rushes into the hospital with a kidney for his sister. He demands that
the nurses prep her for surgery with no questions asked.
Prue, Piper
and Phoebe show up at the address of one of the jail ward patients only
to find it swarming with police. Darryl quickly tells them what happened.
They ask that he keep them posted and Piper looks worried. She feels guilty
about not answering any of the doctor's letters. Maybe she could have prevented
this.
Back at the
manor, Phoebe is chasing the stolen monkey's through the house. Prue is
on the phone with her boss trying to explain the Evan Stone mishap. As
Piper rushes in to help Phoebe they realize that there are hundreds of
reporters standing outside their house, all waiting for Prue. Leo shows
up then and gives them the bad news. Dr. Williamson is going mad
because he wasn't ready for their powers. The spell that Prue and Phoebe
cast to
save
Piper changed everything. His need to do good things is now completely
out of control.
As Phoebe sets
to work getting the powers out of the monkeys, Piper freezes the reporters
so that Prue can escape. She goes to meet Evan on the set, wanting him
to put out a statement explaining that there's nothing going on between
them. Instead he baits the press into returning to the set where he will
probably reveal that he dumped her.
As Prue is getting
rid of the press, Williamson has started to murder people for their organs.
He steals the heart of a gun dealer, with plans to return it to a hospital
for donation.
After many tries
Phoebe is still trying to make a power separation spell for the monkeys.
Finally she gets it right. Now they can try the potion on the doctor. If
they can get the
powers
out of him, maybe they can return him to normal.
Darryl comes
over to the house then and tells Piper about her old doctor. Piper feels
horrible that he is killing people, but warns Darryl that he could also
be killed if he goes after the man. As he is leaving, Darryl mentions the
names of the victims. Once he is gone Piper checks the list that they got
from the hospital. Those names are on there. Williamson is following the
list. Now they know where to go next.
Prue, Piper
and Phoebe catch up with the doctor as he is about to kill someone else.
Prue tosses him across the room and Piper slowly approaches him with the
potion. He tells her that he has her to thank for all of this, which only
makes Piper feel worse. She tries to give him the potion, but just as he
is about to take it, he throws her into a wall, knocking her
out.
Prue tries to rush over to her, but Williamson throws her into a wall also.
Then as he is about to escape, Phoebe punches him. But alas, he tosses
her into a fence, stepping on the potion bottle as he leaves them behind.
Later that night,
Phoebe is trying to find the doctor by scrying for their powers. But it
isn't working. Prue wonders what they will do when they find him. Piper
wants to make more of the potion, but they don't have the ingredients.
And they couldn't get him to take it any way. Prue and Phoebe know that
they will have to vanquish him. Piper will have to freeze him to do so,
and she's horrified at the thought. But even Leo can't find a way around
it. And then finally Phoebe finds him. It's time to get to work.
At an old abandoned
warehouse they meet up with Williamson once more. Piper tries to
freeze
him but he merely shakes it off. Then he throws a huge circular blade at
them which Piper freezes mid air. He angrily throws another one which Prue
stops. But he's strong and they can't hold him back much longer. Finally
Prue tells Piper to let go and duck. They all throw themselves to the ground
as the blades fly into the wall. One of them ricochets back, hitting the
doctor right in the stomach. He pulls it out, then collapses to the ground,
bleeding profusely. Piper rushes over to him, sobbing as she kneels down
beside him. She begs him not to die, then tells him she's sorry. Prue and
Phoebe can only watch as she continues to cry.
Back at the
manor, Prue and Phoebe are burning the files that Dr. Williamson made on
them. The monkeys sit on the couch, watching the fire. Phoebe tells her
sister that she is
going
to drop them off at the wild life conservatory the next day. But she and
Prue agree that they'll miss them. And then Piper comes in and throws the
last file into the fire. Phoebe finally hands over her list of ground rules,
but it turns out to be her list for the ideal guy, someone who sounds suspiciously
like Leo. She thinks her sister has found someone perfect for her, and
she doesn't mind if Leo's around, as long as Piper is happy.
Then finally as Piper is
leaving her sisters ask her if she is okay. Piper slowly starts to tells
them about the doctor, that his first name was Curtis, that he chose his
career over a personal life because he wanted to help people. And now she
feels guilty because she couldn't save him. She turns to leave and Prue
tells Phoebe to let her go. Piper obviously needs to sort some things out.
Piper slips
up to her room and starts to cry, curling up into a ball on her bed. A
few moments go by and then Leo appears. He sit down quietly beside her,
then holds her, letting her tears come.
