Andy

Prue and Andy went out in high school and were reunited ten years later when he returned to San Francisco. They dated a few times, but because of their clashing lifestyles, their relationship didn't work out. In the end they agreed to be friends. Their friendship became strained, however, when Prue's name kept popping up in Andy's cases and he realized she was lying to him. Andy did learn to trust Prue and he eventually discovered the sisters' secret. He risked his job and his life to help them. A few weeks after learning the truth, Andy was killed by a demon when he burst into Halliwell Manor, gun drawn, in an attempt to protect the Prue, Piper, and Phoebe.

Mark

Mark was walking home from his own birthday party when he was murdered by a man trying to fake his own death. Mark became a ghost and soon realized that if his remains were not found, a demon named Yama would find him and suck him into hell. While searching for a psychic to help him, Mark ran across Piper, who at first didn't believe his story. After watching a bicyclist ride straight through him though, Piper agreed to help. Together, she and Mark tracked down Mark's killer and placed a picture of him in Andy's mailbox to prove that the body could not belong to him. But in doing so Piper and Mark fell for each other. Later that evening Mark's killer kidnapped Piper. But he was able to find her with the help of Prue and Phoebe. The authorities then killed the man, and realized that the original remains belonged to Mark. Soon after, the Halliwell sisters attended his funeral and Piper and Mark exchanged teary good-byes.

Melinda Warren

Melinda Warren was the first witch in the family and the creator of the Book of Shadows. When her secret was discovered, the people in her town decided to burn her at the stake. Melinda did not attempt to protect herself for fear that her daughter Prudence would then be persecuted. Melinda was killed, but Prudence was taken in by a kind family, and the Warren line continued. Hundreds of years later, the Halliwell sisters called her to the future so that she could aid them in the vanquishing of a warlock named Matthew. They were successful and the sisters reluctantly cast a spell to send her back to wherever she had come from.

Rex and Hannah

Rex and Hannah were warlocks who took on human identities in an attempt to steal the Charmed Ones' powers. Rex, who was the so-called owner of Buckland's, hired Prue on after she quit at the museum. Hannah was one of Prue's nastier co-workers. Together she and Rex helped a warlock named Matthew find the sisters. When he was vanquished, the two tried a more subtle approach. They framed Prue for murder, then blackmailed the Halliwells into giving up their powers. Fortunately, the sister's powers mysteriously reappeared. After being frozen by Piper, Hannah accidentally killed Rex, and was then sucked into hell.

Grams

For many years Grams, otherwise known as Penny Halliwell, was the head of the Halliwell home. She was an extremely powerful witch who raised her daughter, Patty, in the Wiccan ways. After Patty was killed, Grams raised Prue, Piper and Phoebe, the children Patty had left behind. Unfortunately, the kids never got a chance to learn the same skills their mother had. Grams had bound their powers many years before to keep a warlock from stealing them. It wasn't until Grams died and the sisters' reunited, that they finally reclaimed their powers. It seems that Grams still watches over the girls, occasionally providing a little help from beyond the grave.

Patty Halliwell

Patty Halliwell was Prue, Piper, and Phoebe's mother. She had the same power as her middle daughter, Piper, the power to freeze. Sadly, Patty was killed by a water demon when her children were very young and she never got a chance to see them grow up. She did meet her adult daughters once though, when they returned to the past to help stop an evil warlock from gaining immunity to their powers. This was a momentous occasion for Prue, Piper and Phoebe since their mother's death had always been the darkest moment in their lives. Seeing her again was both wonderful and painful. Youngest daughter, Phoebe, even left a note warning her mother of her impending death. But at the last minute Phoebe took the letter back, realizing that she could not change history.

Little Prue

Prue Halliwell got the opportunity to meet her younger self when she and her sisters returned to the past. The elder Prue was shocked to learn that the younger Prue had received her powers at birth and had near perfect control over them. Little Prue would end up losing her powers a few months later after her youngest sister, Phoebe, was born. She was destined to lose a lot more a couple years later, after her mother was killed. Little Prue was the only one of the sister's to see her mother's body just after Patty died, and it is a memory that haunts the elder Prue to this day.

Little Piper

Like Prue, Piper Halliwell was also surprised to find herself face to face with her younger version when the Halliwell sisters returned to the past. The younger Piper had the ability to freeze and unfreeze people at will, and was also known for stealing the younger Prue's toys. She was a great help when she, Phoebe, Piper, and the two Prues were trying to get out of the house. By freezing their little friend, Andy, right in his tracks, the group was able to leave Halliwell Manor before Grams could catch them. Then she and her older self stole the keys to their grandmother's car in a perfectly orchestrated escape.

Josh

Josh first met Piper Halliwell at a store when he stole the bottle of wine she was searching for. They met again, later that evening, at a dinner party Prue was hosting. Needless to say, Piper was not immediately taken with the grad student. With a little help from Phoebe though, Josh eventually got Piper to go out with him. Unfortunately for Josh, he had bad timing. He got a job in Beverly Hills, and told Piper he wouldn't accept it if she wanted him to stay. But later that day Piper fell into a hole and found herself thinking about Leo, the guy she'd been dating before. After realizing that she must still love Leo, Piper told Josh to take the job.

Morris
Before Andy was killed, Morris was his partner, and even after his death, Morris stayed on with the SFPD. Like Andy, Morris often suspected that the Halliwells were keeping a secret. And before his death, Andy told Morris that the Halliwells were indeed involved in a lot of their cases, but that he should trust them. It wasn't until many months later that Morris actually discovered what their secret was. The sisters were forced to call him after Prue killed a hit woman, and they finally decided that it was time to tell Morris the truth. Since then Morris has aided them as best he can. But he still tries to avoid words like warlock and demon.

Pratt

In 1999 Nathanial Pratt was walking his dog along Prescott street and made the mistake of letting it use the Halliwells' front walk as a rest room. Because of this, Phoebe urged her sisters to teach him a lesson, and using their powers Piper and Prue showed him what it was like to have dog doodie on his shoes. A decade later Pratt discovered Phoebe's secret after she killed a man using her powers. He then made plans to execute her and any other witch he might find. The Halliwells went to the future to stop him, but Pratt got his wish, and Phoebe was killed. Luckily for the sisters, they were returned to the past, after learning that punishing the guilty was a big Wiccan no-no. Needless to say, when they saw Pratt the second time, they let him keep walking.

Melinda Wyatt

Presumably named after the first witch in her line, Melinda Wyatt was the child Piper and Leo had several years after they met. In 1999, Piper Halliwell and her sisters visited the future in order to save Phoebe's life. While in the future, Piper was stunned to find herself the mother to this sweet little girl, and was even more surprised to learn the identity of Melinda's father. Unfortunately, in the future Piper and Leo were separated. Never the less, Melinda lived with her mother in Halliwell manor. Because of the witch trials in the future though, Melinda was forbidden to use her powers.

Dan

When Dan first moved in next-door to Halliwell manor, he was taking care of his niece Jenny. Not long after his move in day though, Dan's life changed drastically. Jenny left, and Dan found himself in a relationship with Piper. The two went out for a few months, but the relationship met with complications as Piper tried desperately to keep her secret and Dan became jealous of the ever present Leo. They continued to date through these hardships, until finally Piper decided to go back to Leo. She and Dan remained friends though, but even this relationship was strained after Dan started probing into Leo's past. Dan did eventually find out the Halliwell secret when Piper's mis-guided wish caused him to age at an accelerated speed. Dan reacted with anger and distanced himself from the girl he once loved. However, another wish of Piper's caused him to forget what had happened. And so he moved out, and moved on, with no memory of what Piper had told him.

Jack

Jack began working at Buckland's auction house in the fall of 1999. He quickly became enamored with his co-worker, Prue, and actively pursued her. Eventually he and Prue started going out, even as they tried to keep their work relationship professional. The couple did run into some problems though when their views on work ethics differed. And then when Prue left Buckland's, she also reluctantly left Jack.

Bane

Bane Jessup first met Prue Halliwell after he hired a hit woman to kill her and her sisters. Prue out smarted him though, by killing the hit woman, and posing as her in order to learn who had tried to murder them. Bane was sent to jail after his plans went awry. A demon broke him out a few weeks later though, in an attempt to kill him. Hoping that Prue could protect him, Bane kidnapped her, and took her to his unfinished home. She refused to help him and he ended up saving her life once the demon found them. After this, the two fell for each other and had a few precious hours alone before Piper and Phoebe came to Prue's "rescue." Together they vanquished the demon that had tried to kill Bane, and he reluctantly turned himself back in to the authorities.

Cupid

Cupid came to the sisters for help after his ring was stolen by a hate-demon name Drosi. He soon revealed that he and various other agents had been responsible for the girls' many relationships, except of course for those with Jeremy, Leo, and probably Mark, the many men who had come into Piper's life. Cupid also taught Phoebe, the apparently closed-hearted sister, how to love again without fear. Cupid's ring was returned when the sister vanquished Drosi, and he moved on soon after, destined to unite another couple.

Dr. Curtis Williamson

Dr. Williamson was a specialist in infectious diseases. He was Piper's doctor after she was diagnosed with the Arroyo Fever. When Piper died right before his eyes, then miraculously came back to life, he was determined to discover how she had survived. Hoping to find a universal cure for the disease he continued to do tests on the Halliwells' blood long after Piper had left the hospital. Unfortunately, he accidentally injected the blood into his own body. This caused him to go insane. Like the Halliwells, he tried to do good deeds with the powers. But his idea of good deeds was to kill drug dealers and murderers and use their organs for others. Eventually the sisters found him, and he was killed when a circular blade he had thrown at the sisters ricocheted off a wall and hit him in the chest. His death was especially hard on Piper, who blamed herself for the doctor's condition.

Billy

Once a character in a cheesy black and white film entitled "Kill It Before It Dies," Billy came flying off the big screen when he tackled the Demon of Illusion. Phoebe, who had always considered Billy to be her perfect man, was thrilled to finally meet him. The two talked and finally shared a kiss. Their relationship of course, was doomed from the start, for once the demon was vanquished Billy had to return to the movie. Phoebe later got a video tape of it though, so that she could see Billy any time she pleased.
