Characters:

Max- worried about a recurring nightmare similar the one he had with O'Cloral; He concentrates on making alliances with newly discovered planets.
Metalla- Metalla's not been getting much sleep lately due to Gene's cold.
Ron- Ron still lives in Fox City where he runs his parent's club.
Tails Jr.- Still on the space station, he takes time to come down and help to take care of Haylie now and then. He still blames himself for her brother's death.
Steve- Steve and James continue experimenting even on a few unauthorized ones. He and Sara married a little over a year ago.
Fists- Fists still lives on the Floating Island running the command base that's there and to make sure the emeralds aren't stolen.
Kari- Kari's still protecting the gate and now has tries to get Ron's attention.
Nate Gage- Nate moved to Mobius a few years back. Nate now shows off to Ariana.
Ariana- Ariana is now dating Nate, but usually insist he stay in human form whenever they go out; something he's not fond of.
Kat- Kat has decided to try to expand and control her power. Incase of future trouble she wants to be ready.
James- James still works closely with Steve.
Coll- Max's first son is about 8 years old.
Gene- Coll's younger brother he's 3 years old
Ana- As a new member of Mobius she is determined to get Ron's attention, over Kari's objects.
Haylie Cox- T.J.'s adopted sister she's 12.
Oracle of Hemlock- His powers and abilities are slightly less than the Oracle of Delphius'. His compassion for others needs major work.
Miko- He's Hemlocks' apprentice. Unlike Hemlock he has a lot more compassion for others.
Otto- Second in command of the space station Freedom.
Sailor Dimetria- She has return to help Kari and to help with a new enemy.
Star Galaxy- He's come to give Kari a message about her future.

And now onto the feature presentation of: Max the Hedgehog In: Last Battle

Timeline: 4 years after Double Trouble.

“Hey dad, you want to come out and play with me?” Coll asked as he went through the palace and found his dad with his mom.
“Not right now Coll, Gene is sick and I want to make sure he's going to be ok.” Max said.
Boomerang walked by the room, “Hey guys do you know where Ariana is?”
“I have no idea where she is.” Metalla said as she held Gene.
Coll turned towards Boomerang; he had been to the palace more often now.
“Hey Boomerang, will you come play with me?” Coll asked.
“Sure Coll, come on.” Boomerang said as he led Coll off.
“Max.” Metalla said.
“What's wrong?” Max asked.
“You know very well that I can handle this myself, why didn't you go play with your son?” Metalla asked.
“Well.” Max said as he tried to think of an answer.
“Is it because you now have a son, who's just like you, and just because Coll doesn't have any powers, you don't want to be with him?” Metalla asked with a bit of anger in her voice.
“Well, no, not really.” Max said.
“Max, I'm ashamed at you, he is your son regardless of what he is.” Metalla said.
Just then Gene started to cry.
“Now why don't you go play with him while I take care of this.” Metalla said as she began to quiet down Gene.
“Yes dear.” Max said as he got up and walked out of the room to find Coll, “But before I do, I'd better go see what Steve and James are up to this time.”
Max made his way towards the labs; he remembered how last week he caught them trying to do another experiment that wasn't morally right.
Down in the lab an alarm went off.
“He's coming, quick, put the stuff away.” James said as the two began to quickly put their stuff away and bring out approved projects.
Max walked into the room and looked around, “So guys, what projects are you working on this week that I object to?”
“We stopped that Max, we're working on new circuits for the space station.” James said as he showed Max the circuit board, “It will allow the station to operated better and with less bugs.”
Max wasn't sure if they were telling the truth or not, but he wasn't going to bother right now, “Alright then, carry on.”
We walked out of the room and when they made sure the coast was clear they brought out what they were really working on and started up again.
Meanwhile on the Floating Island Ron was hiding out with Fists.
“Are those two still after you?” Fists asked.
“Yes, one minute I'm being chased by Ana and then next it's Kari, they are crazy.” Ron said as he sat down in a chair.
“Well that's what love does to people.” Fists said.
“But why me?” Ron said.
“I don't know if anything they should be fighting over me, I'm better looking.” Fists said jokingly.
“Very funny, so how are the emeralds doing?” Ron asked.
“They seem to be doing fine, I did find something interesting on the scanner, here take a look.” Fists said as he gave Ron a printout.
“This is interesting.” Ron said, “Have you told Max about it yet?”
“No not yet, I'm not sure what that is, and I don't want to trouble Max anymore, he's already stressed out trying to negotiate with those leaders.” Fists said.
“You've got a point there.” Ron said, “Hey isn't T.J. up on the space station?” Ron asked.
“That's where he's suppose to be.” Fists said.
“Well let's contact him, he might be able to monitor things better than we can.” Ron said.
“Alright.” Fists said as he contacted T.J.
“Hey guys, what can I do for you?” T.J. said.
“T.J., Fists is picking up some strange activity in the northern mountain region, would you mind monitoring it?” Ron asked.
“Sure, but why would anyone be up there in the first place? It gets really cold up there.” T.J. asked.
“That's all the better to hide something, no one wants to walk through that.” Fists said.
“I see what you're saying, alright I monitor it, if I see anything strange I'll report it.” T.J. said.
“Thanks.” Ron said as he cut the communication.
“You heard what's been going on with Ariana and Boomerang?” Fists said.
“Other than the fact that they are starting to date?” Ron said.
“Boomerang's not so happy, Ariana wants him to stay in human form so it doesn't look strange.” Fists said.
“Well it's no stranger than me and Kari.” Ron said.
“Yeah, but Ariana is different.” Fists said.
“Well if he really likes her, then he'll stay human, that's what he was in the first place.” Ron said.
“Well there isn't much going on here, and it probably won't take long for Kari and Ana to realize that you're here.” Fists said as he looked at the monitors.
“Yeah, but they've got to get up here first, and most of the planes are under repairs.” Ron said.
“If they are desperate enough to want you, then I'm sure they will find a way to get up here.” Fists said.
“Yes, but for right now, I'm going to relax.” Ron said.
Meanwhile Max had found Coll and Boomerang outside.
“Hey Boomerang, I'll take things over from here, why don't you head home?” Max said.
“Alright, I'll see you later Coll.” Boomerang said.
“Bye Boomerang.” Coll said waving as Boomerang headed off.
“So Coll, what do you want to play?” Max asked.
“Chess.” Coll said.
“Chess? Don't you want to play something more physical?” Max said.
“Not really dad, you can pick up from where Boomerang left off.” Coll said.
Max sat down on the other side of the table and the two began the chess match. Max had never really played chess before, so he wasn't sure what to do and what not to do. Throughout the afternoon the match went on and finally Coll managed to win.
“Good job Coll, you managed to beat your dad.” Max said.
“Yeah!” Coll said.
“Why don't we head in and find something to eat?” Max said.
“I am getting a little hungry.” Coll said as the two headed back into the palace.
Metalla found Max and walked over to him, “Max, the delegates are here, you might want to go see them.”
“Oh my, they are here already?!” Max said, “I'm sorry Coll, daddy has to go do his job.” Max said.
“That's all right, mom, will you make me a snack?” Coll asked.
“Sure, I think I'm up to it.” Metalla said as she and Coll walked off. Max hurried to his room where he put on the clothes he needed to wear. He hated wearing these things since he thought they made him look stupid. When he was ready he went off.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Metalla was busying fixing Coll and snack when Gene started to cry.
“Here's your snack Coll, are you going to be alright while I go see what's wrong with Gene?” Metalla asked.
“Yep.” Coll answered as he began to eat his snack.
Metalla went off to go see what was wrong with Gene.
On her way home, Haylie noticed a coin lying on the ground.
“This looks neat.” She said picking it up. It was a Golden Mobium Dollar it looked really interesting. She put it in her pocket and continued on.
Out in their apartment, Kat and Ariana were preparing their lunch.
“So, how are things going with Nate?” Kat asked.
“He's great Kat, the only thing though, is I don't think he likes not being able to become a kitsune.” Ariana said.
“Why don't you let him?” Kat said.
“I think it would look really strange for a human to be dating a fox.” Ariana said.
“Well there have been stranger things, but if that's how you feel, then if he really likes you, he'll go with it.” Kat said as she gave her sister the lunch she had made.
At the Palace a woman was in a screaming match with a new guard, when Sara walked up.
“Hi Mrs. Cox What's seems to be the problem?”
“I've been trying to get this guard to tell me where T.J. is.”
“Oh well he's probably on the space station but let's go see.”
“I'm sorry miss but no one is allowed inside the Palace at the moment. The King is in important meetings with the leaders of several leaders planets.”
“Oh well we won't bother their meetings will just talk to Metalla.”
“I'm sorry miss but no one is allowed inside. The Queen has asked not to be disturbed. I suggest you come back when it's open to the public.”
“Excuse me.” Sara said starting to get mad when another guard walked up.
“Princess Sara what are you doing here?”
“This guard refuses to allow me and my friends inside.”
“I'll take care of it. Go right in.”
“Thank you.”
They found Metalla in Gene's room. “Metalla hi.”
“Oh hi, Sara. Hi Mrs. Cox. What are you doing here?”
“Well I just got called into an important meeting at work and I can't take Haylie. I thought T.J. might like to spend some quality time with her while I'm at my meeting. Do you know where I can find him?”
“I'm sorry he's on the space station.”
“Oh, now what and I going to do?”
“Why not leave her here?”
“I wouldn't want to inconvenience you.”
“No this works out. I was supposed to watch Coll tonight but something's come up and I can't get out of it. I'm really sorry, Metalla.”
“I understand, Sara. I know you wouldn't back out unless it was important.”
“Well Mrs. Cox here's my problem, Max will be in important meetings the rest of the night and Gene here's got a little bit of fever and Coll's nanny wants to leave early tonight, so I need someone to look after Coll. You need someone to watch Haylie and I need someone to watch Coll. So why not let Haylie watch Coll and if there's any thing she needs or wants I'll be right here.”
“I don't know.”
“Please Mom, you said that you're already going to be late for your meeting. So why can't I stay. Please.”
“Well if you're sure that it's not going to be too much trouble.”
“None, in fact it'll be a great help.”
“If it'll make you feel any better I'll even call T.J. and tell him she's here, before I leave.” Sara said.
“Yes and since it's so late why don't you just let her spend the night and T.J. can take her home tomorrow.” Metalla said.
“Well if I had time I'd argue with you but I don't.” With that she kissed Haylie on the forehead and said “You be good.”
“I will.” Haylie said as her mom left.
“I think Coll's in the playroom if you want to go play.” Metalla said.
“O.K.” Haylie said.”
“I'll go with her and talk to Coll and his nanny. Hope you feel better soon little guy.” Sara said.
“I'm sure he will the doctor said it was just a little cold nothing to be concerned over.”
“K, well I got to go. Bye Sara and thanks.”
“No problem.”
Haylie then turned to Sara holding the Golden Mobium Dollar in her one hand and holding Sara's with the other, “Thank you Princess Sara You were a great help.”
“No big deal” Sara said as she and Haylie both felt a slight shock.
“What was that?” Sara asked.
“What was What?” Haylie asked.
“Strange I felt a slight sting.”
“I didn't feel anything.”
“Oh, well come on.” As Sara turned to leave Haylie started rubbing her hand and her eyes were glowing red with anger.
Meanwhile Max was still trying to negotiate a peace treaty.
“If we are to bring a new economy into our solar system, we must sign this peace treaty, Mobius and Freedom have gotten along together all these years under this same treaty, I'm sure all of you will be able to get along as well.” Max said.
“But King Max, the peace treaty only helps those worlds that are already developed and have a strong economy.” one of the delegates said.
“I see what you are saying, General Smith.” Max said, “But we can improve this treaty so that even developing worlds can benefit from this. If all our planets work together we will see that our living conditions and well fare will great improve.”
“Yes, but what about those worlds that do not have much to offer?” another delegate said.
“Even worlds like yours King Reynolda, will be able to benefit.” Max said, “Under the treaty, all planets will receive support from other planets to help make the planet a better place.”
“I see what you're saying King Max, but as you noticed some of the delegates were not able to come today, why don't we postpone this rest of the conference until all the delegates are able to be here and discuss the Galaxy Treaty?” General Smith said.
“I agree with you General, does everyone else feel the same?” Max asked.
There was no objection.
“Alright then, I'll see you tomorrow gentlemen.” Max said as he walked out of the room. He went into his bedroom and changed into some clothes that were more comfortable. He then headed off to the kitchen.
At the same time Haylie was adjusting to her new charge.
“So, Coll want to play.”
“Nah, I don't feel like it.”
“Oh come on, look let's go exploring.”
“I said no I don't feel like it.”
“Are you sick or something?”
“No I just don't want to go.”
“Hey look if you agree to go exploring with me, I'll show you what I found.”
“Show me.”
“See it's a Golden Mobium Dollar.”
“What's wrong with it?”
“What do you mean? There's nothing wrong with it.”
“Well I don't know there just seems to be something strange about it.”
“So do you want to go exploring or not?”
“Yeah let's go.”
“So which way do we go down in the basement or one of the other rooms or in the attic.”
Suddenly a voice rang inside Coll's head as he remembers a conversation he once had with a passing stranger.
“Just remember one thing whenever you decide to go exploring.”
“What that?”
“Go up.”
“So which way?” Haylie asked.
“The attic.”
“Why?”
“Just a feeling.”
“K, the attic it is then.”
“Uh, oh I forgot we've got to sneak past my mom.”
“It looks like she's a sleep.”
“Oh yeah, I forgot Gene's had that cold for a couple of days so mom's not gotten much sleep.”
“Well then now's the perfect time to slip by.”
They made their way up into the attic and started looking around.
“There's not much up her except for some old clothes and things.” Haylie said.
“Hey, help me open this trunk.” Coll said.
“K.” They opened the trunk to find shoe boxes with pictures and some letters. But in one shoe box in particular caught Coll's eye. In it was a little different from the others, he opened it up to find a pair of red and white stripped shoes in the box with a note.
“Haylie I'm not good at reading yet. Can you read this?” Coll asked.
“Sure.
`Dear Mr. Sonic,
“My father and I are so grateful to you for rescuing us from Dr. Robotnik Roboticizer.”
“Who's Robotnik and what's a roboticizer?” Coll asked.
“I've heard of Robotnik, we learned of him in school.”
“Really.”
“Yeah he was an Over Lander. It was said that his roboticizer turned people into robots and until about 5 years ago. When Princess Sara got her new powers there was no reversing the process. But when she released a golden light all who were roboticized were released.”
“What else does the note say?”
“As our way of thanking you for all you've done we're giving you these specially made shoes.

“They don't look like they've ever been worn, I wonder why?” Coll asked.
“Wrong Size?”
“No here is an old pair it's the right size.”
“You know I once had a pair that was the right size and fit but were a little tight. They did loosen up but still felt a touch tight.”
“Well whatever the reason they fit me perfectly.” Coll said putting the shoes on and walking around in them. “Maybe they'll help me run super fast.”
“I didn't think you liked running?”
“It's ok, I thought that if I learned to run, my dad might like me more.”
“Coll your father loves you.”
“Yeah, I know but he's never liked me. I don't have any power like he does. He hardly ever spends any time with me, it's even worse now that Gene's shown signs of power.”
“Hey who's this?” Haylie asked pulling out a picture and showing it to Coll.
“Oh, that's Sonic he's my grandfather.”
“Hey the shoes in the picture are the same ones you're wearing.”
“Yeah, they helped him run super fast. I'm hoping they'll do the same for me.”
“Well his was probably a natural ability, but maybe if we work at it you can learn.”
“You really think so?”
“I don't know; there's one way to find out.”
“Hey what's that glowing in you pocket?”
“What do mean glowing?” She pulled out the coin and showed it to Coll. See it's just my coin.”
“You'd better get rid of it.”
“What? Why? It's valuable and very rare.”
“It's evil.”
“It's a coin. How can it be evil? I don't know, don't you see that dark energy around it?”
“No, what are you talking about?”
“Um, well now that you, you're kind of glowing too.”
“You're imagining things. Come on we'd better get back before they start looking for us.” Haylie said putting the coin back in her pocket.
Just as they got down stairs they ran into T.J. Haylie ran over and gave him a big hug.
“Hey kido, I talked to your mom and she got a promotion.”
“Another one? That's the second promotion she's gotten the past several years. With each promotion she starts working more and longer hours. She also goes away on business a lot more.”
“Yeah, that's what I came to tell you. You and Coll are going to stay with me a few days.”
“Why am I going?” Coll asked.
“Well with Gene sick, your father in and out of important meetings and your nanny away. I agreed to care for you both.” T.J. said. “Coll where did you get those shoes?”
“I found them in a shoe box in the attic. Why don't you think I can keep them?”
“Well, I don't know why not, no ones been in that attic for years. But you might want to ask your parents first. Just in case.”
“I'm going to go see if mom's awake right now.”
Coll walked carefully into Gene's room. He found Metalla asleep in a rocking chair next to Gene's bed. “Mom?”
“Huh, oh hey sweetie. What can I do for you?”
“Well I found these shoes in a trunk in the attic and Uncle T.J. said I should ask if I could keep them.”
“Oh, those were your grandfathers. I don't see any harm in it. You keep them.”
“Thanks mom.” Coll said giving her a kiss on the cheek. “Uncle T.J. said I should ask dad, too”
“You go on I'll handle your father.”
“Thanks mom.” Coll said as he hugged his mom and left.
The next day a doctor had been called to the palace do to the fact that Gene took a turn for the worse in the night.
“Is he all right?” Metalla asked concerned.
“Yes, your majesty he's fine. It turns out though that my diagnosis was wrong. He doesn't have a cold; he has a flu strain that's been going around. But if you give him this medicine I'm sure he'll be just fine.”
“That's what you said the last time.” Max said.
“Yes sir, I know but this time I'm positive. It's right.”
“I hope your right.” Metalla said.
Just then a guard walked in and knocked on the door.
“Your Majesty, sir.”
“Yes what is?” Max asked.
“The other delegates are arriving they'll be ready to greet you in about an hour.”
“Thank you. I have something I need to check on. I'll be ready, thank you.”
Later that morning in a park near T.J.'s house. Haylie was helping Coll practice.  
“That's great Coll you keep increasing you speed with every try.”
“Too bad you don't have a stop watch you could time me with.”
“Yeah. Oh.” Haylie said as she double over in pain.
“Haylie are you all right?” Coll asked.
“Yeah I'm fine.”
“No you're not that weird black energy around you is getting worse.”
“Coll I told you you're imagining things.”
“No I'm not maybe we should tell Uncle T.J.”
“Tell him what?” She asked standing up. “That your delusional.”
“What's wrong with you you've never been this mean.”
“I'm not being mean! Now do you want to continue practicing or not?”
“Yeah sure, what ever you say.”
T.J. on the other had had a problem of his own.
“Hi T.J.”
“Oh hi Ari.”
“You look depressed what's wrong?”
“I got a message from the space station, some new guy pushed a couple of wrong buttons now there's nothing but chaos up there.”
“So what's the problem just go up there and fix it.”
“I can't, I promised Metalla and Mrs. Cox that I'd watch the kids for a few days. I can't leave the kids alone and I can't take them with me. I didn't think the space station would fall apart without me.”
“Go, I'll take care of them. I'll bring them by the training camp later.”
“Thanks Ari, I really appreciate it.”
“No problem.”
Back at the lab James and Steve were getting a little more daring. Between all the problems with Gene and the delegates they thought that Max would be too preoccupied to pay attention to them. So, they left an unauthorized project out and then left for lunch and when they returned Max was standing at the door waiting for them.
“Hey guys.”
“Max, what are you doing here?” Steve asked.
“I just came by to see how your projects were coming along.”
“So you haven't been inside yet.” James asked.
“No, why is there a reason I should have?” Max asked.
“Uh, no everything's going fine.” James said.
“Well I'd still like to see inside.” Max said.
A little nervous they reluctantly agreed.
As the three of them walked inside, Max was shocked.
“I can't believe this!” Max shouted as he saw massive weapons lying around.
“Max we can explain.” James said.
“You better start.” Max said, “What could you two be thinking?! We don't need any of this, especially in the middle of peace talks with other planets!”
“But Max, we were making them for the space station and planet defenses.” Steve said.
“I don't care what they are for, we don't need weapons on this planet.” Max said, “We are working towards peace with other planets and as far as even Kari says there isn't anyone left we need to really worry about.”
     “But Max, we never meant any harm from it, we were only trying to protect the planet.” Steve said.
     Max turned to look at them, he was extremely upset and they could tell, “I want these destroyed now, if the delegates found out that these existed, there would be no chance for peace.”
     “But Max…” James started to say.
     “Destroy these by the time I come back or I'll have both of you thrown in jail.” Max said as he stormed out.
     “What are we going to do?” James asked.
     “I guess we need to get rid of them, I don't know about you, but I'm not going to rot in a jail.” Steve said as he began packing up the weapons. James joined him a few minutes later.
Meanwhile on the floating island.
“I'd better get going.”
“Why at the moment you're safe.”
“Because it's Friday.”
“So.”
“So, I promised Max that I'd host a training camp every Friday of every month. Of course this was a couple of months ago. Before all this mess with Kari and Ana started.”
Meanwhile on the space station.
 T.J. stood there on one of the walkways above the engine room, he watched for a few minutes as everyone below him was running widely all over the place trying to get the station back together.
“How come you didn't take over?” T.J. asked turning to the person that was standing next to him.
“I'm sorry T.J., they didn't want to listen to me.” The man said.
     “Figured as much.” T.J. said as he cleared his throat, “QUIET!!!!!”
Suddenly everyone below stopped and looked up at T.J.
“Alright, all this chaos isn't helping, you three go to the generator and get it stabilized, you two head to the engine room and make sure the systems are stabilized, you four head to the balance controls and make sure we are aligned and in our proper orbit. Finally I want you four to stay here and make sure that there are no system errors.” T.J. said as he pointed to various people, “Let's get a move on!”
“Yes sir!” they said as they took off.
T.J. and the other person walked off and started heading towards the bridge.
“What did that new guy do anyway?” T.J. asked.
“I'm not sure, from what I gathered he set the engines off alignment and almost sent us into a warp.” the man said.
     “Alright, find him and assign him to someplace where he won't cause trouble, Otto.” T.J. said.
     “Yes sir.” Otto said.
     “If you want them to listen to you, you're going to have to be more willing to stand up to them, but you've also got to be kind.” T.J. said.
     “Yes sir.” Otto said.
     “Now have you guys been monitoring the northern mountain region like I asked?” T.J. asked.
     “Yes sir, thankfully he didn't screw up our radar.” Otto said handing T.J. a picture, “That's what the infrared system picked up, there's some heat being shown, but with all the snow, it's hard to pick up any sizeable amount.”
     “It would be the best place to hide your heat if you're planning something.” T.J. said.
     “We also found this.” Otto said handing him another picture.
     “Interesting, what is it?” T.J. asked.
     “It's some fragments of some kind of ship, we weren't able to locate the thing itself, but it appears that they did an emergency landing.” Otto said.
     “Have there been any flights up there lately?” T.J. asked.
     “No, we checked with every organization up around there, there's been no flights into or out of that region in well over five months.” Otto said.
     “Alright, good job Otto.” T.J. said as the entered the bridge, “Let's keep a close eye on this.”
At the same time in the northern mountain region.
“Anything yet Splimy?”
“No, master. Not yet. Perhaps the rumors of O'Cloral's death are true.”
“Perhaps, but I'm not so sure. It is very difficult to get rid of him.”
“Don't you think we should  have come when he called 5 years ago?”
“You know as well as I do that even if we had dropped everything and came right here and knew just how to get here, it still would have taken 2 years to get here. But as it is, we were several light years away and had no clue as to how to get here. Now are you through building this castle or not.”
“Not yet master, I was working on another project.”
“Well then hurry up and finish it.”
“Yes master, right away.”
Later that afternoon, everyone had gathered in a special prearranged spot in the forest to train. Even Metalla took a break to come and watch. She put Gene in a stroller hoping the fresh air would do him some good. Everyone was practicing when they suddenly heard a squeal. They turned to see Ana clinging to Ron. Boomerang walked over to Kari.
“So aren't you going to go over to cling to his other side?”
“Sorry, I like him and all but I'm not like Ana, I'm not about to make a fool of myself like that. I may chase him and follow him around but I'm not that bad.”
About that time Ariana, Haylie and Coll showed up.
“Hey everyone.” Ariana said.
“Hi Guys.” Coll said.
“Greetings everyone.” Haylie said holding the Golden Mobium Dollar in her hand.
“What are you guys doing here we're in the middle of a training exercise here.” Ron said.
“Sorry but I told T.J. that I'd meet him here with the kids.” Ariana said.
“Hey guys you might want to just meet me at my place. We'll probably be another couple of hours. We haven't finished with our training yet. It's taking longer than I expected.” T.J. said.
“Yeah, It's too dangerous to stick around.” Boomerang said.
“You don't know what danger is!” Haylie said this time her eyes were glowing red and was still holding the golden Mobium dollar in her hand
“Haylie, Haylie what's wrong with you?” T.J. asked
“Nothing I'm just fine.” Haylie said in O'Cloral's voice.
“I knew it she's possessed.” Coll said.
“What are you talking about Coll?” Ariana asked.
“She's been acting funny all day. Besides don't you see that strange black glow around her?” Coll asked.
“No, I don't.” Ariana said.
“You're very smart little one.” Haylie said in O'Cloral's voice.
“That, that voice I know that voice.” Max said. “But it can't be. He's dead.”
“You should listen to your sister more often.” Haylie said in O'Cloral's voice.
“What?” Max asked.
“What did I say? Sara asked.
“Don't you remember?” O'Cloral asked she said. Then he spoke in Sara voice, “I can't say whether or not O'Cloral is really dead but then again who knows. If he's not dead then we'll be hearing from him again someday.”
“Well that someday has just arrived. Because you see you didn't destroy me. You could never destroy me. In order to prevent my own destruction I had to dispel all my power that's the explosion you saw. With no power I was forced to change myself into this coin.” Haylie said in O'Cloral's voice holding up the Golden Mobium Dollar. “I came back to get something I need.” Then she walked over and grabbed Ron's amulet and pulled it off.
“Hey give that back.” Ron said.
Suddenly a shadowed figure came up out of Haylie and she passed out, “Now that's more like it I felt so cramped in that little body.”
T.J. ran over to Haylie. “What did you do to her?”
“Don't worry about it. She'll be fine. I don't harm children. I merely used her body a vessel. I needed time to regain my strength she was the first one to come along I had no other choice. I tried to switch to you Miss Sara but unfortunately your power prevented me from entering. Before we get down to business, I have a question to ask you Coll.”
“Me?”
“Of course you. Like your Aunt you too have a very special power.”
Max walked over and placed his hands on Coll's shoulders. “You leave my son alone. I don't know what your game is but my son has no powers.”
O'Cloral started laughing.
“What's so funny?” Max asked.
“You have no clue. Come with me Coll we shall rule the universe together. I will help you to nurture and develop your powers. Unlike your father I will always like you.”
“Coll what's he talking about?” Max asked.
Coll broke away and turned to look at Max. “He means that you hate me.”
“Coll what do you mean?” Max asked.
“I mean you've never liked me. I believe you love me in your own way but you've never liked me. You like Gene more than you've ever liked me!”
“That's not true Coll.”
“Kat watch Gene for me.” Metalla said as started to walk over to Coll.
“Yeah, sure, Metalla.” Kat said standing next to the sleeping Gene's stroller.
“He's right Max.” Metalla said as she grabbed Coll he wrapped his arms around her. “The day you knew he had no power was the last day you took a serious interest in him.”
“What do you say Coll, come with me?” O'Cloral said.
“My father my not care, but my mother does. I would never leave her.”
“Fine let's get down to business.”
“What do you want with my amulet?” Ron asked with Ana still by his side.
“Well I've been thinking, if your father can release all the good guys from the past with this amulet then I should be able to release all the enemies of the past.”
“No you can't that amulet can only be used for good.” Ron said
“Well see about that.” O'Cloral said just as he started to open it. The moment he did it burned his hand and face and he dropped it. Just as it hit the ground it released Nathan, Sonic and all the others.
“What's going on?” Nathan asked.
“Yeah it felt like a ton of bricks landed on us.” Sonic said.
Everyone pointed to O'Cloral who was standing behind them.
“What that's impossible?” Tails said.
“How can he be back?” Sonic said.
“We destroyed you.” Nathan said.
“Is that's what you think. I will have my revenge.” O'Cloral said picking up the amulet again this time charging his dark energy down into it.
“Give it up. You'll never be able to do it.” Ron said.
“Why what's he trying to do?” Nathan asked.
“He wants to release all the enemies from the past.” Ron said. That's impossible, Right?”
Suddenly the amulets golden light was replaced by a dark light and then all the enemies of the past suddenly appeared.
“Oh, great just what we needed.” Max said.
Everyone but Sara and T.J. took off to fight.
“Nathan wait.” Sara said.
“What? Why Sara they need me out there.” Nathan said.
“This is no good this fight could go on indefinitely if we don't do something.”
“Like what?”
“You know what the amulet is made of right?”
“Yeah an extremely rare metal. Why?”
“Trust me just concentrate on the metal you need to make the amulet.”
“But.”
“There's not much time Nathan, Please.”
“All right.” Nathan said grabbing a hold of Sara's hands.
A light suddenly surrounded them and when they opened their eyes they were in a long forgotten mine deep underground.
Nathan looked around for a few minutes using the glow from Sara. “Here this is the metal we need.”
“Great, do you see any coal?”
“Yeah here you go.”
“Thanks, now hold them both in your hand and concentrate on how you made the amulet.”
“But I didn't make the amulet.”
“No but you repaired it so you have some idea of how it works right.”
“Well, yeah but…”
“But what we need to do this now.”
“All right. Let's do it.”
A few minutes later they returned to the battlefield.
“Where have you two been?” Kat asked.
“Making this?” Sara held up an amulet similar to Ron's but dark black
“What is it?” Kat asked.
“It's O'Cloral and everyone else's final end.”
“Everyone quit fighting and quickly form circles around Sara.” Nathan yelled.
Everyone formed their circles and Sara held up the newly formed amulet, “This will put an end to everything.”
Soon the power started building up in the amulet. It soon had enough power and started drawing all their enemies into it. Until it closed leaving O'Cloral the only one left Standing. The power build up died down and everyone was happy that all their old enemies were sealed away, but disappointed that it didn't effect O'Cloral.
“What do we do now?”
“I have an idea. T.J. bring Haylie over here. Ron I need you too.”
T.J. helped the now conscious Haylie to her feet. The three of them gathered around Sara.
“What's your idea Sara?” Ron asked.
“Well the amulet O'Cloral holds is yours you can control it. You have in the past now all you have to do is pretend you still have it on. Everyone Please form your circles around us again. The three of us will form a circle around the amulet. Ron you will try to regain control of your amulet. Simply concentrate on it and with any luck the two amulets combined will either destroy him or seal him away in one amulet or the other.” Sara said laying the amulet on the ground in the center of their circle.
“Well are you all just going to stand there or fight?” O'Cloral asked.
“Everyone ready?” Sara asked.
The circles started to spin around again and this time the new amulet rose above their heads and soon enough power hit it that like before it opened up. A dark black light came pouring out of it. Ron started concentrating harder and soon his amulet started spinning around and then opened up and a golden light.
“What's going on?” O'Cloral asked.
“Your down fall.” Max said.
Suddenly the two lights hit and merged together and flowed down over O'Cloral. “What? No, this can't be happening. Nooo.” Soon O'Cloral was sucked into the new amulet and both closed and fell to the ground.
“Yes, we did it.”
Ron walked over and picked up his amulet and as he held it in his hand it opened up again and everyone that was released from it returned. All that is except Nathan, Sonic and Tails.
Sara picked up the amulet, “What do we do with this now?”
“Sara you were able to transport us to a mine that's been long forgotten. Do you think you think you can transport just this amulet to the center of Mobius?” Nathan asked.
“I don't know I've never tried to transport an single object.” Sara said.
“You can do it honey I believe in you?” Sonic said.
“O.K. I'll try.” Sara started to concentrate and soon a golden light surrounded the new amulet.
“What's going on Sara?” Sonic asked.
“I don't know. I'm getting  major resistance.”
“It must O'Cloral. He's fighting back even locked inside that amulet.” Nathan said.
“What's wrong Sara?” Max asked.
“O'Cloral it's he's too powerful.”
“Let me help.” Max said as he put his hands on hers it started to get brighter.
“That's it. Everyone quickly gather around and lend Sara your power.” Sonic said.
Max and the other put their hands on Sara's while everyone else formed  circles around her and focused their power even more and soon the light engulfed everyone and then suddenly it vanished. Sara then collapsed.
“Sara, Sara” Max said but got no response.
They took her back to the palace and laid her down on a couch in the den.
“What's wrong with her Nathan?” Max asked.
“I, I don't know.” Nathan said.
“Her soul is gone.” Coll answered.
“Coll this grown-up stuff why don't you take Haylie and go up to the play room.”
“But your son is quite right.” A voice from the door said.
“Huh, who are you?” Max asked.
“My name is the Oracle of Hemlock.”
“I'm his assistant Miko.”
“What are you doing here?” Max asked.
“We're here to help your sister.” Miko said.
“What was it you said about Coll?” Sonic asked.
“That he was correct in his diagnosis of your sisters condition. Her soul is indeed gone.”
Miko walked over to Coll. “You have a very unique gift my boy.”
“I do?”
“He does?”
“It is really a shame, Max you were so busy looking for the power he didn't have that you never noticed the power he did.”
“What power? I keep telling everyone he has no power.” Max said.
“Your right, the way you describe power and the way we describe power are very different. So under that way of thinking your right he has no power.”
“Thank you.”
“However he does have a very unique gift.” Miko said.
“He does?” Max asked.
“Yes, the light Coll saw around Haylie was a dark one for evil.” Miko said.
“What light I didn't see any light.” Ariana said.
“Coll has the ability to see what others can't. He can see power or energy if you will.”
“If that's true then why did he want Coll to go with him?” Sonic asked.
“Simple with the right training Coll's power, sorry gift can be channeled, controlled and eventually he could tell if someone is lying or telling the truth.”
“How does that help, O'Cloral?” Max said.
“Well O'Cloral could give Coll a power boost and there's no telling what could happen.” Miko said.
Max looked over at Sonic “Dad could you take the kids outside?”
“Alright come on Coll.”
Coll took Sonic's hand then turned and looked up at Miko. “Miko whatever your going to do for Aunt Sara you'd better hurry.”
“Why, what do you see?”
“Her light is dimming.”
“Thank you, Coll don't worry.”
“What do you mean by that Coll? I don't see anything. Sara's not glowing like she is when she's powered up.” Max said.
Upset at his father already Coll just ignored him and looked up at Sonic. “Can we go outside now, grandpa?”
Haylie walked over “Hey Coll, show your grandfather what we found.” After everything that had happened that day Coll just looked at her confused. “Your shoes.”
“Oh yeah, see what I found. Just like yours.”
“Where did you get those?” Max asked.
“We found them in the attic” Coll said.
“You shouldn't have been up there much less taken anything.”
“Max, stop it!” Metalla scolded.
“Those shoes have been up there for years. He can wear them so what's the problem.”
“You don't see a problem with stealing?” Max asked.
“It's not stealing when you ask for permission!” Coll objected.
“Then why didn't you?” Max asked.
“He did, I was going to tell you later.” Metalla said.
     “That's no excuse to be up in the attic, much less take anything that doesn't belong to him.” Max said angrily.
     Sonic had lost his temper with his son; he marched up to Max and slapped him across the face as hard as he could. Everyone around was shocked.
     “Why did you do that dad?” Max said rubbing his check.
     “You disgust me Max, how dare you treat your own son like that, your mother and I didn't raise you to be such an uncaring person. Just because your son isn't exactly like you doesn't mean that you don't care about him.” Sonic said, “All that power you've been showing off this last few years must be really clouding your heart. If it hadn't been for the love that we showed you when you were a child, you never would have gotten this strong.”
     “But dad…” Max started to say.
     “No, buts, I think you need to sit this problem out and think about being a father and what it means to like your children no matter if they don't turn out the way you expect them to turn out.” Sonic said.
     “But dad I can't, I'm the only one that can save Sara.” Max said.
     Nathan walked over and stood right in front of Max, “Your ego has gotten bigger than even mine, do you really think that you are the only person around that can save your sister?”
     “Nathan, of all the people I thought you would agree with me the most.” Max said.
     “I am on your father's and my daughter's side this time, you'll do as your father says and sit this one out to think about what you've become.” Nathan said as he took a bracelet out of his robotic arm and locked it around Max's wrist.
     “What is that?” Max said looking down at his wrist.
     “A power limiting bracelet, just a precaution in case you do try and show off some more.” Nathan said.
     Tails walked over and activated the bracelet.
     “Tails is the only one that has the code to take it off, if you try and take it off yourself it will limit your power more, currently it is set to Mystic.” Nathan said.
     “Dad, tell them to take this off, it's going too far.” Max said.
     “No Max, I think it's best for them to do this.” Sonic said, “Now as far as I recall, you have a Peace Meeting to go to, why don't you get some rest and be prepared for it?”
     Max was visibly upset, but he let out a sigh, “All right.”
     With that he walked off, not being able to participate in Sara's rescue.
     “Sonic, are you sure you did the right thing?” Kari asked.
     “Yes I'm sure Kari, he needs to learn he isn't the center of the planet.” Sonic said, “Now we must be getting back, good luck and make sure my daughter makes it back alive.”
     With that Sonic, Tails, and Nathan disappeared back into the amulet.
     “What are we going to do now?” T.J. asked.
     “Well Hemlock do you have any suggestions?” Ron asked.
     “You need to find where her soul has gone.” Hemlock said.
     “Ok, well some of us are going to need to stay behind and make sure things don't go wrong here.” Steve said.
     “I'll help, but someone is going to need to go to the Floating Island command base and make sure everything is running smoothly.” Fists said.
     “We'll take care of that for you.” Kat said.
     “You sure that you and Ariana can handle that?” Fists said.
     “Sure we can.” Ariana said.
     “I'll stay here and watch over Gene, but someone is going to need to look after Haylie and Coll.” Metalla said.
     “I'll do that for you.” Ana said stepping forward.
     “Ana, you really mean that?” Metalla said.
     “Yeah, I'll be able to handle the two of them.” Ana said.
     “I'll come too, but someone is going to need to be up on the space station to help Otto on the space station in case something goes wrong.” T.J. said.
     “We'll take care of that.” James said.
     “Yeah T.J. we can handle the station.” Steve said.
     “Thanks guys.” T.J. said.
     “Alright who else will come?” Ron said.
     “Me and Nate will.” Kari said.
     “Alright, so it's just the five of us then?” Ron asked.
     “Guess so.” Fists said.
     “Alright then, let's get moving!” Ron said.
     Everyone that needed to go somewhere went off, leaving Ron, T.J., Fists, Kari, Boomerang, the Oracle, Miko, and Sara alone in the room.
     “What are we going to do about Sara, we can't just leave her here.” T.J. said.
     “Don't worry about the child, I can take care of her.” Hemlock said.
     “Alright then, let's get this show on the road.” Fists said.
     “Follow me.” Miko said, as he motioned for them to follow him.
     They followed him outside and after awhile, they entered the main den of the palace.
     “So how are we supposed to start searching for Sara's soul?” Metalla asked.
     “There's a ton of places it could be.” Boomerang said.
     “The best place to start looking, is inside there.” Miko said pointing to Ron's amulet.
     “The amulet, why would her soul be there?” Ron asked.
     “Not exactly that amulet, but inside should be a warp to the one Sara created to imprison the others, my best guess is O'Cloral stole Sara's soul in an attempt to bring himself back when you came looking for it.” Miko said.
     “But if we run into O'Cloral we won't stand much of a chance.” T.J. said.
     “You can do whatever you put your mind to.” Miko said.
     “You know Miko, you sound a lot more caring than Hemlock.” Boomerang said.
     “Nate!” Kari said.
     Miko let out a smirk, “It's ok, I know, Hemlock does need improvements in his social areas.” Miko said.
     “Well if we have to use the amulet, how are we supposed to get in?” Fists said.
     “Well, if I can summon our parents out, then maybe I can summon us into it.” Ron said.
     “But how do you suppose we get out?” T.J. said.
     “If you leave the amulet with me, I can bring you out.” Miko said.
     “Are you sure you can do that?” Fists asked.
     “If I cannot, then Hemlock most certainly will be able to.” Miko said.
     “It's worth a shot, what other choice do we have?” Kari said.
     “You're right.” Ron said as he took off his amulet and handed it to Miko.
     Miko took the amulet, “Now concentrate Ron, I'm sure you'll be able to do this.”
     Ron put all his might and concentrated on bringing himself as well as the others into the amulet.
     “Come on Ron, you can do it.” T.J. said.
     “I've got it, here we go!” Ron said as the five of them were transported inside the amulet.
     The five of them went through a blue tunnel, with a faint light at the end of it.
     “So this is what it looks like on the other side.” Boomerang said as he went into his fox form, “I've been wanting to do that for awhile.”
     “I could see that.” Kari said as she transformed into Sailor D.
     “Hey, we're getting closer.” Fists said as the white light came closer.
     “I wonder what it will be like?” Ron asked.
     “Well if all of them are there, I'm sure it will look like a war zone.” T.J. said.
     “Yeah your probably right.” Ron said.
     They came up to the white light.
     “Here we go!” Sailor D. said as the five of them went through the light.
     They landed on the ground and opened their eyes.
     “Wow!” Was all they could say.
     Every where they looked, it was paradise, there was a beach to one side, clear blue water beyond that, a healthy looking forest, there was a huge beautiful building a couple of miles away, everything ever wanted in a paradise.
     “Let's go check out that building.” Fists suggested.
     “I'm with you.” T.J. said.
     The five of them took off walking towards the building. As they got closer to it, the building was even bigger.
     “This must be where they stay.” Ron said.
     “It's huge.” Boomerang said.
     “You can say that again” Fists said.
     “It…” Boomerang started to say before Sailor D covered his mouth.
     “He didn't mean it literally.” Sailor D said removing her hand.
     “I know that.” Boomerang said, “I was just saying it looks like someone is outside.”
     Sailor D looked up, “Yeah it does.”
     They walked up to the building; standing outside was Kaoz and Li.
     “Well it looks like they finally decided to pay us a visit.” Li said.
     “Go figure, so what's up guys?” Kaoz said.
     “We've got a problem.” Sailor D said.
     “So do we.” Li said as Kaoz started to countdown.
     “What's going on?” Ron asked.
     “You'll see.” Li said. Kaoz reached zero and suddenly above them one of the window flew open and someone jumped out.
     “There they go again.” Kaoz said.
     “Who?” Sailor D asked.
     “Nathan and Metallic, they aren't on the best terms at the moment.” Li said.
     Nathan landed on the ground and looked at the group of five that was standing there, “So you finally decided to come?”
     “Yeah, what's going on with you and mom?” Ron asked.
     “Don't worry about it Ron, it's nothing to worry about.” Nathan said, “Now what can I help you with?”
     “Miko suggested that O'Cloral was the one that took Sara's soul, we need to know if it's possible for us to get into that amulet in order to get her soul back?” T.J. asked.
     “Probably, well I'd love to help you guys, but I'm really busy.” Nathan said as he walked back into the building, Kaoz and Li also followed him.
     “Should we follow them?” Ron asked.
     “We'd better if we are going to get any kind of help.” Sailor D said as the five of them went into the building.
     They looked around, the inside of the building was just as beautiful as the outside, Nate was standing at the desk.
     “Hey guys, how can I help you?” Nate asked.
     “Uncle Nate, we need someone to help take us into the amulet that Sara created so we can get her soul back.” T.J. said.
     “Well, there's only a couple of us that aren't busy.” Nate said as he looked through a computer, “Jennifer, Blade, Amy Rose, Beth, Bunnie, Sally, Manic, and myself are the only ones that aren't busy, who do you want me to contact?”
     “Jennifer, Blade, and yourself.” Sailor D said speaking up.
     “Ok, if that's what you want.” Nate said as he called up Jennifer and Blade, after a few minutes he put the phone down and looked at them, “Guys I'm sorry but some stuff has come up and looking at the computer I'm the only one that's free.”
     “Six is better than five, so let's get going.” Ron said.
     “Ok.” Nate said as he picked up a pair of keys. “Follow me.”
     They followed Nate down a hallway, on the way they ran into Metallic.
     “You guys are done already?” Nate said, “It hasn't even been five minutes.”
     “Funny Nate, don't worry about it everything has been taken care of, where are you off to?” Metallic asked.
     “I've got to take these guys on a trip to see if we can manage to get into the other amulet to get Sara's soul back.” Nate said.
     “Well good luck.” Metallic said waking off.
     Nate turned around and asked here, “Metallic where are you going?”
     “I'm going for a walk by the beach.” Metallic said, with that she walked out of the building and to the direction the group had come from.
     “Come on guys, let's go, she can take care of herself.” Nate said as he continued on. The others followed him after a second.
     Meanwhile on the Floating Island Command Base Kat and Ariana were taking a break.
“So what's up with you and T.J.?” Kat asked.
“What do you mean?”
“You two have been spending an awful lot of time together.”
“What happened between you and Nate?”
“I don't think it's going to work out between us.”
“Why because he can change into a fox and doesn't like it when you make him stay in human form?”
“No, Not just that. We just don't seem to have that much in common anymore.”
“I thought you were the one that said being dating a fox would look really strange?” Kat asked.
“I was but I don't know there's something about T.J. that's different.”
“Like what?”
“I don't know I can't explain it.”
     On the space station, James and Steve had arrived.
     “I'm so glad you to are here.” Otto said walking up to him.
     “Nice to finally meet you Otto.” Steve said as he shook Otto's hand.
     “Same here, if you two would kindly follow me, I'll show you to the bridge.” Otto said as he motioned them to follow him.
     “So what happened here early today?” James asked.
     “One of our new workmen decided to use machine he wasn't trained on, and caused major disturbances in the computers, we're just now getting them back on-line.” Otto said.
     “Must have been some major problems then.” Steve said.
     “No not really, it's just that we've got so few experienced workers here, that's makes it hard to keep up with the mistakes some of under trained guys are making.” Otto said.
     “Well what happened to the guy that caused the screw ups?” James asked.
     “He's been reassigned to work on the bridge, he's running the communication lines.” Otto said as he opened the door to the bridge.
     “Otto, we've been monitoring the northern mountain regions like T.J. requested, there is some pick up in activity, look here.” One of the people on the bridge said, handing Otto a photo.
     “What's that?” Steve said.
     “Ron and Fists contacted us awhile ago asking T.J. to keep an eye on the northern mountain region, there's some strange activity going on up there, but we aren't quite sure what it is yet.” Otto said handing the photos to James and Steve.
     “Why weren't we informed on this?” James asked.
     “We didn't want to include you guys in this until we were sure what we were dealing with.” Otto said.
     “It doesn't look like much, so I wouldn't be worried about it.” James said handing the pictures back.
     “You two look tired, if you'd follow me, I'll show you to your quarters.” Otto said as he led them off the bridge.
“I've heard great things about this T.J. guy and he's spending time with his girlfriend.” The new guy said.
“It's not his girlfriend it's his little sister.” One of the other workers said. “By the way my names Mark.”
“Mines Jacob, So what's the big deal about spending more time with her doesn't he see her all the time?”
“Well no, you see technically she's just a friend but as far as everyone is concerned she's his adopted sister.”
“Adopted sister? I don't understand.”
“Well after her brothers death T.J. felt so guilty that he adopted Haylie. Her mother was thrilled to have someone she could count on whenever she needed anything and that Haylie would have someone to look up too.”
“What happened to her brother?”
“Well it all happened about 10 years ago. We were both going to the same college but we didn't know each other very well. You don't know T.J. but he's a very out going person. Anyway nobody would even give T.J. the time of day until he help out a guy named David. David wasn't that popular but he was second-string quarterback of the football team. So this particular time everyone was looking to David, Tommy the mainstream quarterback came down with the measles. The only problem was David had a big science project due and Science wasn't his thing. T.J. however was in the same science class and overheard the other football players complaining that if David failed the science project then he wouldn't be allowed to play in the big game and that Jerrold the third string quarterback would have too and that they would never win against the other team whom they had only one too twice. Well T.J. decide to see what he could do to help and thanks to him David turned in a great science project and he passes and he went on to help the team win the game. They became great friends from that day forward.”
“So, what happened?”
“Well a couple of months later a real jerk and most popular person around name Marco invited T.J. and David to join his fraternity. David hated fraternities he didn't like wild parties. But T.J. really wanted to go and begged David to go with him. Grudgingly David agreed to go and at the party they soon learned that alcohol was being server. David's father was an alcoholic and after seeing what it did to him he refused to ever drink.”
“What did it do?”
“Well for one thing it got him killed. He was drinking and driving one night and ran into a ditch and died from his injuries. There were other things but that's the main thing that drove David. Anyway T.J. decided to have a drink that Marco offered him. Before the night was over T.J. was totally drunk. David decided he had had enough and decided to take him home, while Marco and the others decided it was time for a beer run. However Marco was going the same way as David was and so Marco whipped right in front of David causing an accident killing David and a few of the others in the other car. T.J. and Marco both survived with only minor injuries. T.J. felt like it was his fault since he begged David to go with him to begin with. So he took responsibility for Haylie from that day on.”
“Wow I see now why T.J.'s so attached to Haylie.”
“Exactly!”
     Meanwhile back on the other side, Nate had led the others into a hanger.
     “What's in here?” Fists asked.
     Nate flipped on the lights and a large plane was sitting there, “We'll be taking this to go look for ways to get to the other amulet.”
     “Nice.” Boomerang said as they walked onto the plane and took their seats.
     “Guys, this is Nate, I need clearance for launch for the G Fighter.” Nate said as he opened the hanger doors.
     “Nate your cleared.” Beth said over the line.
     “Alright guys hang on, this baby has some major backlash on take off.” Nate said, as he fired up the engines, “G Fighter taking off now!”
     The plane launched forward and shot out of the hanger and into the sky.
     “That wasn't so bad.” Sailor D said.
     “Well, we need to be on the look out for any kind of weakness in the rifts.” Nate said.
     “If we warp into the other amulet, won't they be able to come into this one and maybe force their way out?” Ron asked.
     “No, there is only one rift, and when we get back, I'll use a sealer and close it.” Nate said.
     “Well where is the rift suppose to be?” Fists asked.
     “It should be located over in the forest area.” Nate said.
     “I've been meaning to ask, how did you guys get all of this?” T.J. asked.
     “Nathan, Rotor, Manic, Tails, Chuck, and myself all had our hand in making sure this place came out looking like this, it's like it's own planet, only we are the only ones that live on it.” Nate said.
     Another plane was coming towards them.
     “What is that?” Boomerang asked as he saw the huge plane coming towards them.
     Nate turned on the view screen, “Coming back so soon Metal?”
     “Yes, I've done the scouting there's nothing wrong, I'll be returning the Core Scout to the building.” Metal said.
     “Say Metal, have you seen any small rifts?” Nate asked.
     “Yeah, there's one about 50 miles behind me.” Metal said, “It's just a small one so don't worry about it.”
     “Alright thanks, out.” Nate said as he cut the screen off.
     “So what are we going to do now?” T.J. asked.
     “We'll make our way towards the rift, that's all we can do.” Nate said.
     “But 50 miles is a long way to go.” Boomerang said.
     “Hang on, let me bring the engines up to full.” Nate said as he pushed the throttle a little more. The ship sped up a little bit, but not much.
     “That helped.” Sailor D. said.
     “Sorry, but this thing isn't exactly a speed plane.” Nate said, “It was built in case we needed to protect the building.”
     “Maybe this thing can use some Sonic speed then.” A voice said from behind.
     Nate spun his chair around and standing in their doorway was Sonic himself.
     “Sonic, I didn't expect you to be here.” Nate said.
     “Neither did I, Tails asked me to check up on G Fighter, and you guys took off before I left.” Sonic said.
     “Well at least now we've got someone to help us.” Ron said.
     “Where exactly are we going to?” Sonic asked.
     “We're heading to a rift that opened up, we're going to use it to try and get to the other amulet, that Miko guy suggested that O'Cloral may have taken it.” Nate said.
     “Well I guess I have no choice, but to join you guys.” Sonic said as he took a seat.
     “Get some rest guys, it's going to be a bit before we reach the rift.” Nate said.
     The group got up leaving Sonic and Nate alone in the cockpit.
     “So do you don't think they will be able to do this?” Nate asked
     “What makes you ask that?” Sonic asked.
     “I know for a fact that Tails didn't send you to check up on G Fighter, you knew what was going on and decided to join.” Nate said.
     “Was it that obvious?” Sonic asked.
     “Well it's for the better, she is your daughter, and you need to show your son caring.” Nate said.
     “Yeah I do, I wonder what he's up to.” Sonic said.
     Meanwhile, Max had made his way into the conference room; all of the delegates came today, so hopefully they would be able to settle the treaty.
     “Gentlemen, I'm sure you all have had enough time to look over the revised treaty, are the any objections to it?” Max asked.
     “No, we are quite pleased with the treaty, your men did a fine job of making it, not only will it unite the planets, but it also can easily be changed as we expand.” One of the delegates said.
     “Then if there are no objections, you may sign your copy of the treaty and may relax in what Mobius has to offer, or return to your own respective planets.” Max said.
     Everyone signed their copy of the treaty and after exchanging congratulations, the delegates left, leaving Max alone in the room. He was still upset about what his father and the others had done to him. Here he was stuck in the castle because of what happened between him and Metalla.
     “Maybe, they are right.” Max said as he looked out one of the windows. He sat there thinking about the fun times he had with his son before he found out there was no power in him, at least not the power he wanted.
     Max continued to sit there looking out the window, until the sun set, he got up and left the room, to one of the guestrooms.
     Later in the night after Gene had finally fallen asleep, Metalla made her way to the room, she was expecting to see Max already in bed, but as she opened the door, he was no where to be found. Still upset about what had happened earlier, she didn't give it a second thought and lay down in bed and fell asleep.
     Meanwhile, Ana, Haylie, and Coll were getting ready to go to sleep in one of the spare rooms in the castle; Haylie's mom had given her the permission to stay at the palace since it was so late.
     “You feeling any better Coll?” Haylie asked.
     “Yeah I'm kind of surprised that my grandfather did that.” Coll said.
     “It would seem your grandfather cares more about you than even your own dad.” Ana said.
     “Well let's not worry about what happened today and let's get some sleep, maybe things will be better tomorrow.” Haylie said as she laid down and fell asleep. Ana and Coll did the same after a few minutes.
     Meanwhile in the den Miko had come in to check on Hemlock, “How is she doing master?”
     “She will be fine, what did you do with the group?” Hemlock asked.
     “I sent them into the amulet to find a way to reach O'Cloral.” Miko said.
     “Are you sure O'Cloral is the one that took her soul?” Hemlock asked.
     “Very sure, he'd be able to force his way back.” Miko said.
     Meanwhile in the northern mountain region, O'Shawnace was getting impatient with Splimy.
     “Isn't this place finished yet Splimy?” O'Shawnace asked.
     “I just have to start the generator master and then we will be ready to go.” Splimy said as he pushed some buttons and the entire base lit up.
     “Excellent work Splimy, this will make an excellent base, prepare the ship.” O'Shawnace said.
     “May I ask why master?” Splimy said.
     “I'm taking a little trip.” O'Shawnace said.
     “To where sir?” Splimy asked as he began to get the ship ready.
     “I have just found an interesting bit of information on those palace computers you hacked into, there's an amulet at the center of Mobius that has O'Cloral as well as the others in it.” O'Shawnace said.
     “Are you planning on releasing them?” Splimy asked.
     “Not on your life, even though O'Cloral is my friend, he is too self centered to take over the planet.” O'Shawnace said, “But if I capture the amulet and hurl it into the sun, they will all be destroyed forever. Their power will stay and I shall use that awesome power to take over the entire universe!”
     “Excellent plan master, your ship is ready.” Splimy said.
     “Good job Splimy, take care of the base while I'm gone.” O'Shawnace said, and with that he took off.
     “Good, now that he is gone, I can work on my true project.” Splimy said as he pulled out some diagrams, “With these plans I found in the computer, I'll be able to control the planet, and then the universe!”
     Splimy walked off carrying the plans with him.
     Up on the space station, Steve was looking at the monitors, when he noticed a small heat source moving away from the mountains, “Otto, come take a look at this.”
     Otto walked over and looked at the radar, he turned to one of the operators and ordered them to try and bring up a picture. A badly distorted picture came onto the screen.
     “It looks like a ship, but it's too distorted to really tell, operator can't we get a clearer picture?” Otto asked.
     “Not until it gets closer to low latitudes.” Someone responded.
     “Keep a close eye on that, something is going on down there, be sure to alert the palace as soon as the sun rises down there.” Otto said.
     “Yes sir.” They said.
     Meanwhile on the other side, the G Fighter was nearing the first, everyone had gathered in the cockpit.
     “Alright, we are here, setting coordinates.” Nate said as he pushed some buttons, “Sonic activate the boosters!”
     “Sure thing.” Sonic said as he pushed a button, the ship launched forward and hit the rift dead on, it shot through the tunnel at fast paced speeds.
     “You sure this is going to take us to the other amulet?” Sailor D asked.
     “I'm sure of it.” Nate said.
     “Look, I see the end of the tunnel!” Ron said pointing out the window.
In a few minutes the ship hit the end of the tunnel and was in a place that looked like a war zone.
     “Looks like our friends haven't been getting along.” Sonic said.
     “I've found O'Cloral, he's a little north of here.” T.J. said.
     “Alright I'm going to set the ship down and make some adjustments, you guys go on ahead.” Nate said as he began to land the ship.
     “You sure you're going to be ok?” Sonic asked.
     “What can go wrong Sonic? I'm already dead.” Nate said laughing.
     “Very funny Nate.” Sonic said.
     “Oh come on, someone needs to watch the ship, it's all we have to get back.” Nate said as the ship landed. He opened on of the doors, “Good luck!”
     The group of six walked off the ship and towards the direction that T.J. had indicated that O'Cloral was in.
     “If there's one place I wouldn't want to be in, it's the place where all these guys hang out.” Sonic said as they walked on.
     “So Sonic, we meet again.” A voice said from behind.
     “Oh just what I needed.” Sonic said as he turned around.
     Standing there was Dr. Robotnik himself.
     “I don't have time for you Robotnik.” Sonic said.
     “On the contrary you do hedgehog.” Robotnik said, “For you see I want O'Cloral gone just as much as you do.”     
     “You've got to be kidding, I'm not falling for this.” Sonic said.
     “Believe it or not hedgehog, I wish this wasn't true either, but O'Cloral is the one that's been doing this, the other villains and I are quite sick of O'Cloral he's making things more miserable then when we were alive.” Robotnik said.
     “Yeah sure,” Sonic said, “and why should I believe you?”
     “Look behind you.” Robotnik said pointing behind Sonic. Sonic turned around to see huge clouds going up in the air, “As we speak Dr. Evil, Ixis, Turk, and Swizmon are all fighting O'Cloral and trying to destroy him.”
     “Why would you guys teaming up?” Fists asked.
     “Because O'Cloral can't accept that he's been defeated, all he wants is war, and all we want to do is relax, this is our world and we can control it as we please, but he doesn't like that.” Robotnik said.
     “And what about Maræos?” Ron asked.
     “How cares about that guy, Swizmon eventually silenced him,” Robotnik said, “besides what are you doing here? You know we had a treaty ourselves signed while you were gone, that prohibited us from coming to your side or you coming to ours without permission.”
     “Well Robotnik, that O'Cloral guy has my daughter's soul, and I want her to have it back.” Sonic said.
     “Well then, Sinvely!” Robotnik shouted.
     Sinvely came walking over, “Yeah Robotnik?”
     “Our hedgehog friend wants to destroy O'Cloral, what can we do to help move that along?” Robotnik said.
     “Well there is the cannon.” Sinvely said.
     “Yes the cannon.” Robotnik said.
     “The what?” Sailor D asked.
     “It's a cannon Sinvely created, this is our world and we can make it into whatever we want, so we made a weapon.” Robotnik said. He pushed a button and a giant cannon rose up, “Unfortunately O'Cloral destroyed the only power source we had to use it, and we haven't had time to make another one.”
     “Well, take it to our ship.” Sonic said, “Nate will help you, tell him it's from Joe.”
     “Joe?” Everyone asked puzzled.
     “It's a code word we use for peace.” Sonic said.
     “Alright hedgehog, you help us we help you.” Robotnik said.
     “Don't try anything Robotnik, you know I can defeat you.” Sonic said.
     Robotnik and Sinvely took off with the cannon and Sonic and the others continued on.
     “Do you think we can trust him? He is Robotnik.” T.J. said.
     “Robotnik wouldn't try anything, he knows that we can defeat him.” Sonic said, “Now come on we need to get Sara's soul back.”
     With that they group took off.
     Meanwhile at the ship, Nate had noticed Robotnik coming. He went to the radio, “Stop Robotnik or I'll destroy you.”
     “I have a present from Joe.” Robotnik said.
     Nate knew what that meant and allowed Robotnik and Sinvely to come on board. They began setting up the cannon.
     Ron and the others reached the battlefield. Ixis, Dr. Evil, Turk, and Swizmon were all fighting O'Cloral.
     “Hold it right there, O'Cloral!” Ron said.
     Everyone stopped and looked at Ron and the others.
     “So you've come for Sara's soul haven't you?” O'Cloral asked.
     “Give it back!” Fists said.
     “You want it? You'll have to take it!” O'Cloral shouted.
     Sonic revved up and slammed into O'Cloral knocking him over.
     Ron, T.J., and Fists unleashed a set of attacks, and though they weren't doing much, they were however keeping O'Cloral down.
     “Spiritual Dimensional Warp Blast!” Sailor D shouted.
     “Static Pulse Force Power!” Boomerang shouted.
     Ixis, Dr. Evil, Turk, and Swizmon formed a box around O'Cloral; each let lose a blast as powerful as they could use.
     After that attack, O'Cloral stood up, he barely looked injured, but he was shaking pretty badly.
     “You fools, I am too powerful for you to stop me alone!” O'Cloral said as he let lose attacks that knocked them all back.
     Meanwhile at the ship, Nate, Robotnik, and Sinvely were getting the cannon in place.
     “Are you sure this will be able to stop O'Cloral?” Nate asked, skill a little skeptical of Robotnik and Sinvely.
     “Yes it will.” Robotnik said as he hooked up some cables.
     Meanwhile on the other side, Otto and the others had been monitoring the object; it finally hit a spot where they could get a clear picture.
     “Oh my, alert Max and the others now!” Otto shouted.
     “I'll get him right now.” James said contacted the palace.
     Max sat straight up in bed, Metalla had found him, and just come in and informed him of what Otto and the others had spotted.
     “Metalla, let's go, looks like we've got some business to take care of.” Max said as he put his shoes and gloves on.
     “But what about the kids?” Metalla asked.
     “They will be fine.” Max said, “They are strong enough to take care of themselves.”
     Max and Metalla ran out of the room, but left a note of where they were going. They entered the hanger and launched one of the ships towards the location that James had told Metalla.
     Midway through the flight, Max looked over at Metalla and said something he had never said before, “You were right.”
     “Max, what are you talking about?” Metalla said puzzled.
     “You were right, I've neglected Coll ever since Gene was born.” Max said, “I don't know what came over me. I guess I just wanted a son to be exactly like me, and then when I found out he couldn't be, I guess I just lost hope.”
     “Well Max, like you father and mine said, love your children even if they don't come out to be what you want.” Metalla said.
     Max felt a little sensation in his left wrist; he looked down at the bracelet for the first time since Tails had activated it. For the first time he noticed a screen, for some reason however it read “You're learning, so it's time for a boost. You'll be able to reach Mystic Level 5.”
     “That's strange.” Max said.
     “What is honey?” Metalla asked.
     Max showed her the message that was on the bracelet.
     “Someone must have figured out you learned your lesson, so they are letting you lose a little bit, just don't let it go to your head.” Metalla said.
     “I've learned my lesson, I'm not like that anymore.” Max said.
     Max didn't notice however that after he said that the 5 changed to a 7.
     “Is it done?” Hemlock asked.
     “Yes, the young hedgehog was released a bit.” Miko said.
     “Excellent.” Hemlock said as he looked down at Sara, “She is strong like her parents.”
     “Yes she is a tough one.” Miko said.
     Meanwhile on the Floating Island Kat and Ariana were woken up by an alarm going off. They rushed to the monitors and turned on the screen to see Steve staring back at them.
     “What is it Steve?” Kat asked.
     “There was an object launched from the northern mountain region.” Steve said, “We've just confirmed it as a space craft, Max and Metalla are heading towards it, be ready in case anything happens.”
     “Sure thing Steve.” Ariana said.
     With that they activated everything in the command base and got a ship ready for immediate launch.
     On the other side, Sonic and the others were still fighting O'Cloral.
     “O'Cloral, we are sick of you, we don't want you here and we will never want you here!” Turk said as he let lose with a right hook on O'Cloral that knocked him right onto the ground, “NOW!”
     Everyone blasted O'Cloral now that he was down on the ground; Sonic went to his max power and hammered O'Cloral.
     After the attack, O'Cloral stood up, he showed signs of injury, but he was still going strong, “You'll never defeat me!”
     “Is that so?” Someone said from behind O'Cloral.
     Everyone looked behind him to see Intelomon and Maræos standing there.
     “Intelomon has informed me, that I was only a lacy and would be destroyed once you had your great power.” Maræos said.
     “And what's the problem with that?” O'Cloral said.
     “You scumbag, I don't know why I ever trusted you!” With that Maræos attacked the person that he was supposed to serve.
     “You dare attack the person that gave you life?” O'Cloral said as he dodged Maræos' attacks.
     “Life? What kind of life is this? I'm half robot and what's left of my body is scared, all because I was to blind to see what you were really up to!” Maræos said as he laid a left hock on O'Cloral.
     Meanwhile at the ship Nate, Robotnik, and Sinvely had set up the cannon and were getting it charged.
     “This better work Robotnik.” Nate said.
     “Oh it will, you see the cannon is anti-matter meaning whatever it hits will be torn apart and destroyed.” Robotnik said.
     At the battle site the other villains had joined in the beating of O'Cloral, they were too much for O'Cloral to handle and he was quickly losing.
     Over the radio Nate had contacted Sonic and told them to get out of there and that the cannon was up to full power, “Everyone! Let's go, cannon is about to blow!”
     With that everyone except O'Cloral disappeared.
     “Wimps, don't they know that they can never defeat me?” O'Cloral said breathing heavily.
     “Oh wait I almost forgot something.” Sonic said coming back, he knocked O'Cloral over and found a sphere that was Sara's soul, “See ya O'Cloral.”
     Sonic zoomed off leaving O'Cloral trying to heal himself.
     “Fire!” Robotnik shouted as Nate fired the cannon. A giant orange beam shot out from the barrel and headed right for O'Cloral.
     “Yikes!” Sonic said as he dodged the beam, “Wouldn't want that to hit me!”
     O'Cloral looked up to see an orange beam heading his way, he managed to stand up and in an attempt to block it raised his arms. The beam hit him with such force that it broke every bone in his body and then tore him apart, destroying every last cell.
     Meanwhile on the other side, O'Shawnace suddenly felt different, “No, O'Cloral, he's gone.”
     He put his head down for some morning, even though he knew O'Cloral would never be able to control the universe, he was still his close friend.
     “It doesn't matter, even with O'Cloral gone, the power gained from the others will be more than enough for me to control the universe.” O'Shawnace said as he pushed the ship closer to the place he would use to bring the amulet to the surface.
     At the ship, Sonic, Ron, T.J., Fists, Boomerang, and Sailor D had gathered and were preparing to take off.
     “Not so fast.” A voice came from behind.
     “I knew it was too good.” Fists said turning around.
     Standing in front of them was Robotnik holding a laser gun to them, “You fools fell for that treaty stuff, I can't believe there was no treaty signed and once you take me back to the other amulet, I will break out of this place and take over Mobius!”
     “I don't think so you fat oaf!” Someone said as a bullet went through Robotnik. He fell to the ground. The person that had shot Robotnik was Sinvely.
     “I don't believe it.” T.J. said.
     “Believe what you want, this fat oaf is just as bad as O'Cloral.” Sinvely said as he kicked Robotnik out of the ship, he walked off a few seconds later.
     “There's something you don't see everyday.” Boomerang said.
     “Alright, engines up to full, let's go!” Nate said as the ship lifted off and headed towards the rifts. At full power they entered it.
     “What about that cannon?” Sailor D asked.
     Sonic hit a button and the cannon was ejected and destroyed, “What cannon?”
     “Why did you do that Sonic?” Ron asked.
     “We don't need weapons like that on our side.” Sonic said.
     “Alright reaching our side.” Nate said as the ship entered the other amulet. Nate stopped the ship and Sailor D used a special cannon to seal the rift.
     “Good job Sailor D.” Fists said.
     “Thanks.” Sailor D said as she transformed back into Kari, “I better recharge my powers.”
     “Alright, full speed back to the base,” Nate said, “and with the modifications will go faster.”
     He put the ship on full speed and it was launched forwards, in a few minutes they were back at the building.
     “Here you go.” Sonic said handing T.J. Sara's soul.
     “Alright Ron, you think you can get us out?” Boomerang said.
     “Let's try.” Ron said as he began to concentrate outside of the amulet. They started to glow and were being pulled towards the place where they had entered.
     Sonic and everyone else came out and waved them goodbye and good luck. Ron was happy to see that his parents were back together.
     They entered the portal and found themselves in the palace a few minutes later.
     “It worked.” T.J. said holding the ball Sonic had given him.
     “Come on let's go.” Fists said as they hurried to the place where they last saw Sara.
     When they entered the room, they found Coll, Gene, Haylie, and Ana standing around Sara. Miko and Hemlock were off to the side.
     “Excellent, I knew you could do it!” Miko said giving Ron his amulet back.
     “Hurry and give me the sphere.” Hemlock said to T.J.
     T.J. gave him the sphere and Hemlock carried it over to Sara's body. He chanted in some old language and after a few seconds it disappeared.
     Everyone was silent, and then Sara's eyes opened.
     “Aunt Sara!” Coll said as he jumped onto his aunt's lap.
     “Coll, oh I'm so glad to see you guys again, what happened?” Sara asked looking around.     
     “O'Cloral stole your soul child, but these brave warriors risked their lives and brought it back to you, destroying O'Cloral forever in the process.” Miko said.
     “Thank you guys, where are the others?” Sara asked.
     “Kat and Ariana are at the Floating Island Command Base.” Fists said.
     “Steve and James are on the space station.” T.J. said.
     “Where's Max and Metalla?” Sara asked.
     Suddenly, Timber and Sam came walking into the room.
     “Where have you two been these last few days?” Sara asked.
     “We were busy setting machines up.” Timber said.
     “What machines?” T.J. asked.
     Timber and Sam looked a little nervous.
     “Actually they were helping me.” Someone said from behind.     
     “I remember that voice,” Coll said, “that's that Charlie guy.”
     “You are quite right young one.” Charlie said stepping forward.
     “What were they helping you with?” Haylie asked.
     “They were helping me find my meaning in life, and thankfully I learned that my meaning in life was to help those that needed advice.” Charlie said.
     “Well that still doesn't answer where Max and Metalla are.” Sara said.
     “They have gone to investigate a space ship.” Miko said.
     “Did you say space ship?” Charlie said.
     “Yes why?” Miko asked.
     “Where did it come from?” Charlie asked.
     “The northern mountain region.” Miko answered.
     “Oh no.” Charlie said.
     “What's wrong?” Sam asked.
     “I was in the region once when I came upon a cave, I entered it and found that two people were living there, both extremely evil, one of them gave their name as O'Shawnace.” Charlie said.
     “O'Shawnace why does that ring a bell?” Miko said.
     “He's a friend of O'Cloral.” Hemlock answered.
     “What?!” Everyone said.
     “O'Shawnace is a good friend of O'Cloral, he must be up to something.” Hemlock said, “Come Miko we must go.”
     “What, you can't leave now.” Fists said.
     “This is your problem, not mine.” Hemlock said and with that he and Miko disappeared.
     “Come on, we've got to get moving.” Sara said jumping up, “Haylie, Ana, Coll, Gene, Sam, Timber, and Charlie please stay here. T.J., Ron, Fists, Kari, and Boomerang come with me.”
     Sara ran out the door and a few seconds later the others followed.
     “Where's Aunt Sara going?” Coll asked.
     “Off to fight.” Haylie said.
     “Why?” Coll asked.
     “Because evil doesn't know when to stop.” Ana said.
     Meanwhile on the station, Steve, James, and Otto were keeping a close eye on the space ship.
     “It's heading towards the Floating Island, though its current course won't have it land or come close to the island.” Steve said looking at the charts.
     “Then were is it going?” James asked.
     “It looks like it's heading for this volcano.” Otto said tracing the flight path.
     “We better contact Kat and Ariana, and tell them they can relax.” Steve said.
     “I'll do it.” Otto said as he walked over to the control panel, after a few seconds Ariana's face popped up.
     “What can I help you with?” Ariana said.
     “You guys can relax.” Otto said, “The ship isn't heading for the Floating Island.”
     “Really where is it heading to?” Ariana asked.
     “The volcano that's in the south sea.” Otto said.
     “I'll be sure to pass that along.” Ariana said as the she ended the communication.
     She pulled up another link.
     “What can we help you with Ariana?” Metalla asked.
     “Otto just contacted me, the shuttle is heading towards a volcano.” Ariana said.
     “Alright thanks for the info.” Metalla said as she stopped the communication, as soon as she closed that one, another one popped up with Sara on the screen, “Sara! You're back!”
     “Yes, but we've got a problem, that shuttle you guys are following has a guy named O'Shawnace at the helm, he's a friend of O'Cloral and we think he may be after the amulet for some unknown reason, since O'Cloral is now permanently destroyed.” Sara said.
     “We'll try and hold him off while you guys catch up.” Max said.
     “You sure you guys are going to be ok?” Sara asked.
     “We should be fine.” Max said as Metalla ended the link.
     Sara put her ship with the others in it to full speed in an attempt to catch up with Max and Metalla.
     “So what are we going to do Max?” Metalla asked.
     “I'm not sure yet, hopefully he won't be a hard as O'Cloral, then again you never know.” Max said as he reset the course of the ship.
     “Do you think we'll be able to stop him?” Metalla asked.
     “We've gotten this far, I think we can handle this.” Max said, “Look I'm picking it up on radar now.”
     “Sara, at this rate it will take us at least thirty minutes to catch up to Max and Metalla.” Fists said.
     “I'm trying my best Fists, we didn't exactly design ships for fast speeds.” Sara said as she gave the ship everything it had.
     “I hope they will be ok.” T.J. said.
     “I'm sure they will be.” Ron said.
     Meanwhile, O'Shawnace had noticed he was being followed, “So they think they can stop me, well let's have some fun.”
     O'Shawnace boosted the ship and started to pull away from Max and Metalla.
     “Max, he's getting away, we've got to stop him.” Metalla said.
     “Try shooting him down.” Max said.
     “Are you sure?” Metalla asked.
     “Yes, I know you can do it.” Max said.
     Metalla turned on the weapons and aimed at O'Shawnace's ship.
     “I've got him Max.” Metalla said.
     “Shot him down then.” Max said.
     Metalla launched two missiles at the ship.
     “What.” O'Shawnace said, as he attempted to dodge the missiles. One missed the ship, but the other hit the engines dead on. O'Shawnace lost power and began a quick descent, “Blast, I'll have to glide it the volcano.”
     “Max, I got him!” Metalla said.
     “Excellent honey.” Max said.
     Max and Metalla began to catch up to the ship, and soon they were right behind it.
     “Metalla, hit it again, we'll shoot him out of the sky.” Max said.
     “Sure thing.” Metalla said as she started to fire the guns.
     More and more bullets hit the ship, until it blew up in a giant fireball.
     “We got him!” Metalla shouted.
     Just then Max noticed a small capsule heading towards the volcano, “No, he escaped, we've got to land now!”
     With the Max sent the ship to land and they performed a hard landing on the sand.
     They both got out and Max grabbed Metalla by her arm, “Hang on!”
     With that Max took off with a giant burst of speed.
     “Max, what are you doing?” Metalla asked.
     “We've got to stop him.” Max said.
     Suddenly a beam came out of a clearing and almost hit Max. He turned and ran into the field. Standing there was a man with a grin on his face.
     “Who are you?!” Max shouted.
     “I am O'Shawnace, friend of O'Cloral, you are in my way of great power, I suggest you get out of my way before I destroy you!” O'Shawnace said.
     “I wouldn't be so bossy O'Shawnace, we are the ones that destroyed O'Cloral in the first place.” Max said.
     “You fools, O'Cloral was blinded, I however am perfectly calm.” O'Shawnace said as he disappeared for a second before reappearing and kneeing Max in the stomach.
     Max moved back a few spaces, but was generally unhurt.
     “Metalla, get ready, this O'Shawnace guy is going to get a major butt kicking from us.” Max said as he powered up to Mystic Level 5.
     “Sure thing Max.” Metalla said as she went into her Chaos Warrior form.
     “I'm so scared.” O'Shawnace said as he unleashed an attack, “As soon as I'm finished with you two, the amulet will be mine, then I will hurl it into the sun and steal their powers!”
     “What!” Max said, “We won't let you get away with this!”
     Max charged at O'Shawnace and Metalla came from another direction. O'Shawnace saw them coming and disappeared, they both stopped before they ran into each other. O'Shawnace appeared above them and began to launch of volley of attacks. Max and Metalla dodged them and Max appeared behind O'Shawnace and gave him a good kick to the ground, Metalla was waiting and jumped up with her fist in the air. It went right into O'Shawnace's stomach and he let out a groan.
     Max landed on the ground, “Metalla, we can't finish him off like this, we're going to need help.”
     “But Max, we have to hold out at least until the others get here.” Metalla shouted.
     O'Shawnace stood up and looked at the two hedgehogs, “You fools, I am almost as powerful as O'Cloral himself, you won't stop me!”
     With that Max and Metalla engaged him in a fistfight.
     “Sara, we are almost to the volcano.” Kari said as she transformed into Sailor D.
     “You sure?” Sara asked.
     “Yes, look below you.” T.J. said.
     Sara looked down, and she saw a volcano forming shape near them, however she saw something going on, “Guys I think Max and Metalla are already fighting that O'Shawnace guy.”
     “What!” Ron said.
     “I can see dust clouds.” Sara said, “Prepare to land!”
     Without any warning Sara put the plane into a noise dive for the island, at the last second she pulled up and made a perfect landing, right next to Max and Metalla's plane.
     They got out and made their way towards the battlefield.
     “There they are!” Fists said pointing to Max and Metalla.
     “Let's go!” Sara shouted as they powered up and charged into the field.
     “What the?” O'Shawnace said as he saw people charging towards him. Max took the moment and slammed O'Shawnace into the ground.
     They group came up to Metalla and Sara asked, “Why haven't you guys beat him yet? Max has enough power.”
     “Not with that bracelet on, you'll have to fight Sara.” Metalla said.
     “No problem, anyone who's a friend of O'Cloral must be dealt with.” Sara said as she walked over to Max.
     “Max, let me handle this.” Sara said.
     “No problem sis.” Max said as he backed off.
     “Sara watch out, will give him a blast first.” T.J. said as he and Fists shot out attacks on O'Shawnace followed by Ron and Metalla.
     “Spiritual Dimensional Warp Blast!” Sailor D shouted.
     “Static Pulse Force Power!” Boomerang shouted.
     O'Shawnace was hit hard and was lying on the ground.
     “Sara, please take care of him, he's more evil that O'Cloral.” Max said.
     “Sure thing.” Sara said.
     “Wait, maybe we can work something out.” O'Shawnace said pleading.
     Sara looked into his eyes, “No, I can see past your act, you want nothing but power, Heaven's Cannon!”
     With a mighty blast a beam rammed out of Sara and hit O'Shawnace completely off guard, he screamed in pain as he was torn apart and destroyed.
     “Sara you did it!” Max said, “That was excellent!”
     Suddenly a glow appeared from Ron's amulet and Tails appeared. He didn't say anything, but walked over to Max and took off the bracelet, “You've learned your lesson, now don't forget it.” With that he disappeared back into the amulet.
     Everyone returned to normal and looked around.
     “I'm so glad he never got near the amulet, who knows what could have happened.” Max said.
     “Well, at least he wasn't as bad as O'Cloral, and now that he's gone, we can finally relax.” Metalla said.
     “Come on, let's go pick up Ariana and Kat, and head back to Mobotropolis.” Max said as everyone made their way back to the ships.
     T.J. contacted the space station, “Otto, James, Steve, why don't you come back down here and celebrate?”
     “Sure thing T.J., we are on our way.” Otto said.
They stopped at the Floating Island and after explaining what happened to Kat and Ariana, they all headed back to Mobotropolis.
Once home they through a huge celebration. Ron left to put his ship up and hopefully avoid Kari and Ana. He had left it parked on the other side of the lake to do the training class but never got back to it. While outside Haylie and Coll were practicing with a stopwatch Ana had gotten for them to use.
“So, How was that?” Coll asked.
“Great you shaved two seconds off your last time.”
“Cool, what now?”
“Take off that way go once around the lake and back.”
“Right I'm on it. Coll said taking off.”
Ana spotted Ron entering the forest and took off after him. Kari spotted Ana and started to follow her when Nate stopped her.
“Nate what are you doing? If I don't hurry I'll lose track of Ana.”
“Well it's just that I meet this guy earlier today and it was strange he knew everything about us.”
“What did he look like?”
“Well he was a little taller than you and blackish brown hair.”
“Nate you sound like you're describing a human.”
“I am.”
“What?”
“Yeah he said you knew him and that he needed to talk to you as soon as you can. He said that he'd wait for you in the clearing on the east side of the lake.”
“Who was he?”
“I don't know but he said that we've meet before.”
“All right, you stay her while you go check it out.”
“You sure you stay here while I go check it out.”
“You sure you don't want me to go with you?”
“No, it's all right.” Kari said and took off about the time Coll returned.
“How was that?” Coll asked.
“Pretty good better than yesterdays time.” Haylie said.
“Great should I try again?”
“Sure, if you feel up to it.”
“Yeah I'm ready to go.” Coll said taking off again.
Kari made it to the clearing then she happened to look through the trees and noticed Ron with Ana close behind yelling at him. She then saw Ana grab run and turn him around, Kari leaned into the trees hoping to hear what Ana was saying to him. Then suddenly Ana kissed him and he just stood there. He didn't push her away nor did he embrace her. Upset by this Kari was about to go over there when suddenly a hand grabbed her and turned her around breaking the chain on her pink teardrop crystal that got hung on the branches. Kari was so startled by this man that she didn't notice it went missing.
“Huh, who are you?” Kari asked.
“You don't remember me?”
“Should I?”
“Ah, I understand now. We've only met the once. Maybe you'll remember me know. Galaxy Crystal Power.”
“Star Galaxy?!”
“Yes, we need to talk.”
“Sure.” Kari said just as Star Galaxy grabbed the top part of her arm and started pulling her along.
A few minutes later Coll came zipping by the same part of the forest again and spotted something shinning. He stopped and saw the pink teardrop crystal. He took it put it in his pocket and took off. Just as he rounded the corner, he spotted Ron and Ana talking and ran right up to them.
“Hi guys, want to see what I found?” Coll asked.
“Sure, what did you find?” Ana asked
“See.” Coll asked showing them the crystal.
“Huh, where did you get that?” Ron asked.
“It was stuck in some trees in that tree over there.” Coll said.
“Can I see it?” Ron asked.
“Yeah, sure, here you go.” Coll said handing Ron the crystal.
“This looks like Kari's. She must have lost it. Coll I think this belongs to Kari can I give it back to her?” Ron asked.
“Yeah sure thing, I got to get going, later.” Coll said taking off.
“Bye Coll.” Ron said. “Come on let's go.”
“Where are we going?” Ana asked.
“To look for Kari.” Ron said.
Back with Kari and Star Galaxy.
“So why have you come?” Kari asked.
“It is time for us to have an important talk.”
“K, but could you loosen your grip a little it's starting to hurt.” Kari said about the same time she heard Ron and Ana calling for her.
“What's that?” Star Galaxy asked.
“It's sounds like Ron and Ana. They must be looking for me for some reason.” Kari said.
“Ignore them. Let's go.” Star Galaxy said tightening his grip.
“But if they're looking for me then there must be a reason. I should go see what they want.”
“I said no.” Star Galaxy said tightening his grip even more.
“Ow, that hurts.” Kari said just loud enough that this time Ron and Ana heard her.
“That sounds like Kari.” Ron said.
“Yeah and it's coming from that direction.” Ana said points west.
They arrived and saw Star Galaxy holding Kari's arm tightly.
 “Let her go!” Ron said.
“My dear boy this is a private conversation if you don't mind.” Star Galaxy said.
“Yeah well I'm no boy and that's my friend you messing with.”
“What difference does it make to you what I do? You said yourself your not interested in a relationship with her.” Star Galaxy said.
“Ron you really said that?” Kari asked.
“Well yeah, but…”
“Really you did say that?” Ana asked a little excited.
“How do you know what I said?” Ron asked.
“It doesn't matter. Now if you will just run along Kari and I still have some business to take care off.” Star Galaxy said tightening his grip even more and turning and started to walk away.
“Hey were are you going? We're not through yet.” Ron yelled angered that Kari wasn't fighting this guy.
“It seems Kari you little friends don't know when to give up.” Star Galaxy said. “Let's move our conversation to a more quieter location.” Star Galaxy said somehow opening up the dimensional gate.”
“That won't stop me from following you.” Ron said.
“What does he mean by that?” Star Galaxy asked.
“His amulet allows him to enter the warp.” Kari told him.
“Is that so.” Star Galaxy said walking over and ripping Ron's amulet off.
“Hey that's mine give it back.” Ron said.
“You'll get it back before I leave.” Star Galaxy said as he and Kari headed for the warp.
Ron, not willing to just sit back and watch as they leave ran over and stood in front of them.
“Ron what are you doing? Are you nuts?” Ana asked.
“I'm not letting them leave.” Ron said holding out his hand. “Come on Kari let's go.”
Star Galaxy pulled Kari away, walked over, and knocked Ron to the ground. “Now if you know what's good for you'll stay there.” He said waving his finger in Ron's face.
This really got him angry “Kari how can you just stand there and not fight back?”
“You don't understand Ron. He's the leader of all Sailor Scouts. He's just here to deliver a message.”
“Yeah well he doesn't have to be so rough just to talk to you. There's such a thing as asking.” Ana said walking over and helping Ron up.
“I asked Kari to talk to me. I didn't force her to go with me. Did I Kari?” Star Galaxy said.
“No, I agreed to go with you.” Kari said.
“Well I think we need some privacy. Transform, now!” Star Galaxy said letting go of Kari.
“Right, Dimensional Crystal Power.” After Kari transformed into Super Sailor D Star Galaxy turned her around, pushed her into the warp, and followed her. Leaving Ron and Ana watching as the warp door closed.
“Well I guess we should get back to the Palace. The parties probably already started.” Ana said.
“I'm not leaving.” Ron said sitting down on a nearby log.
Ana walked over and sat down next to him “Why do you want to stay? She's made it clear, she's not in danger.”
“I don't know there's just something about that guy I don't like. Besides what could be so important that he couldn't discuss it in front of us.”
“That's a good question.”
Meanwhile in the warp.
“Here I don't need this.” Star Galaxy said throwing Sailor D Ron's Amulet.
“What's so important?” Sailor D asked.
“I had hoped to get to you before you killed O'Shawnace.”
“Why?”
“Because I wanted to give you more time to be a dimensional warrior.”
“What do you mean more time?”
“You should know more about the worlds your in charge of.”
“I don't understand your acting like I'm dying or am being forced to give up my power.”
“No nothing like that. Now that O'Shawnace is dead the people from his world may seek revenge.” Star Galaxy said.
“But they didn't when they learned of O'Cloral's death.”
“That is because O'Cloral is an outcast in their world. They could no longer stand for his capturing of princesses.”
“Whatever did happen to all those princesses he captured?”
“When he was destroyed the princesses were released and returned to their home planet. Now O'Shawnace, though he did some bad evil things he was still well liked and well loved in their world. Unlike O'Cloral he never did anything to betray his or shame his home world. He was able to cover his crimes mostly by blaming them on O'Cloral.”
“But I thought they were friends?”
“Yes, they were friends but then in their world it is not uncommon for one to stab the other in the back and think nothing of it.”
“Really?”
“If you had done your homework on these other worlds you'd know that. There are worlds much worse than that and worlds less primitive than that.”
“I guess I should do some research.”
“You can still do that but you won't have as much time to do it.”
“What do you mean I won't have as much time?”
“Do to the possible retaliation it is now time for you to become A Dimensional Guardian.”
“A Dimensional Guardian isn't that what I am now?”
“No, you are a Dimensional Warrior protector of the warp. You must be come a Dimensional Guardian.”
“What's the difference and how do I do this?”
“You do this by releasing the power held within the your pink teardrop crystal. May I see it?”
Sailor D tried to call it up but nothing happened.
“Well?” Star Galaxy asked.
“I don't understand it was there this morning. I must have lost it somewhere.”
“How can you be so irresponsible as to lose something like that?”
“I can't understand it. I'm sure I had it just before we met.” Sailor D said as she closed her eyes trying to concentrate. I remember now I was trying to hear what Ron and Ana were saying and I leaned into the trees and my necklace got hung. Then you pulled me and I was so startled that I didn't notice it was missing.”
“Let's review that scene shall we?”
“You can do that?”
“Sure.” With a wave of his hand they saw Ron walking fast with Ana close behind yelling at him. She then saw Ana grab Ron and turn him around; Kari leaned into the trees hoping to hear what Ana was saying to him. Then suddenly Ana kissed him and he just stood there. He didn't push her away nor did he embrace her.
“Can we hear what they're saying?” Sailor D asked.
“Certainly.” With a wave of his hand the scene played once again this time with sound.
“Why did you do that Ana?” Ron asked.
“Because Ron I like you.” Ana said.
     Ron let out a sigh, under his breath he said, “You know Ana, I'm not really interested in a relationship with Kari.”
     Ana tried to hear what he was saying but couldn't, “What was that Ron?”
     “I said that I like you too.” Ron said making sure he didn't repeat what he had just said.
     “You really mean that?” Ana said.
     “Yeah.” Ron said.
     It was at that time that Ron and Ana ran into Coll and after his showing them the necklace, they took off to find her.
     The image ended, and Kari had heard Ron say he wasn't interested in her.
     “Now do you see how it would be so easy to take over the position?” Star Galaxy asked.
     Kari let out a heavy sigh and just stared out into space thinking about her future and the options opened to her at the moment.
Meanwhile Ron and Ana were still sitting on the log.
 “What could be taking them so long?” Ana asked.
“I don't know but I'm starting to get worried.”
“Look Ron I understand your reasons for wanting to stay. But there's no telling how long they'll be in there. Why don't we just go to the Palace and just wait it out. I'm sure she'll find us when it's all over.”
“I know your right but I think I want to wait a little longer.”
“Why?”
“She's my friend I just can't abandon her.” Ron said standing up.
“You're not abandoning her. She's not in danger, she made it quite clear that she's not afraid of that guy.” Ana said pulling him to sit back down next to her.
“I know I just hate this feeling of helplessness, not knowing what's really happening.”
“I know.” Ana said putting her head on Ron's shoulder.
Back in the warp.
“Do I have to become a Dimensional Guardian?” Sailor D asked.
“No I will not force you to do this.”
“What happens if I refuse?”
“Simple we will find the next guardian and if it's possible then instead of them becoming a Dimensional Warrior first they will become a Dimensional Guardian first. Then they will assume the job of guarding the warp until it is their time to become a warrior.”
“What do you mean if possible?”
“We don't know who the next guardian is. When Sailor Dimetria's time was up you were only 6 at the time. If the situations were the same then as they are now then there would have been no way you could have become a guardian. If the situation is even remotely similar then you will have no choice but to assume the job as guardian until which time the new scout is able to take over.”
“I see. How long do I have to decide?”
“I can give you 6 hours but then I must have your decision.”
“If I chose to become a guardian how long will I have to stay?”
“There's no real way to know. But I'm going to make sure that you stay as long as possible as punishment for your crime.”
“What are talking about? What crime?”
“Your crime is revealing your true identity with no attempt to prevent it.”
“But that was years ago.”
“True, I should have punished you then but I was busy and never did. Now is the time to pay for that.”
“It wasn't my fault that I ran out of power.”
“No but it was your fault for not making an effort to get to the warp or at least somewhere where they couldn't see you. You knew the law and you broke it.”
“I know but I think in some strange way it brought me and my friends closer together.”
“That's not the point, you should have at least made the attempt.”
“I know.”
“That's all you may go.” Star Galaxy said waving his hand and opening the dimension door.”
“How can you do that?”
“Perhaps I'll tell you someday.” Star Galaxy said.
Just as Sailor D stepped out of the portal she looked back and then the portal disappeared and when she looked down she was back to Kari. Ron and Ana looked up and were surprised to see her and ran over to her.
“Kari, are you all right?” Ron asked.
“Yeah, I'm fine what are you guys still doing here?” Kari asked. “I thought you guys would have go on to the party.”
“I suggested that we go on to the party that you'd find us.” Ana said.
“Oh, yeah you're amulet.” Kari said handing the amulet to Ron.
“Thanks, oh here Coll found this.” Ron said.
 “My crystal, Thanks I thought I lost it for good.” Kari said.
“I fixed the broken chain.” Ron told her.
“Thanks. I got to go.” Kari said starting to walk off.
“Wait a minute we've been sitting here waiting all this time and you're just going to walk off and not tell us what happened.” Ron said.
“I'm sorry but I didn't ask you to wait.” Kari said.
“I told Ron that you would find us. But we would like to know what was so secret.” Ana said.
“Nothing really, just that I now have to decide whether or not to give up being a dimensional warrior and become a guardian or turn my power over to someone new and let them possibly face O'Cloral's and O'Shawnace's people.” Kari said.
“What do you mean face O'Cloral's and O'Shawnace's people?” Ana said.
“By killing O'Shawnace it's a possibility that the people of their world may seek revenge.” Kari said.
“But why?” Ana asked. “They were both evil.”
“Quite simple the people of their world don't think of O'Shawnace as evil.” A voice said.
They all turned around to see another Sailor Scouts.
“Who are you?” Ana asked.
“Sailor Dimetria. What are you doing here?” Kari asked.
“I came to see and talk to O'Shawnace. But I see I'm too late.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“You knew O'Shawnace?” Kari asked.
“Yes we were once in love.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“What happened?” Ana asked.
“He started doing things that as a Sailor Scout I could allow him to do.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“Like what?” Ana asked.
“It was a long time ago I don't remember. But I do know that what he did wasn't all his fault.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“What do you mean not his fault?” Ron asked.
“O'Shawnace had just moved here. I don't believe he would have revealed himself and risk destruction without a reason.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“He had a reason, power.” Ron said.
“No, I've heard about what happened. He could have easily taken the power from his lair with no problem and convince you to destroy the amulet. No I think Splimy did something to him. I never did trust him.” Sailor Dimetria said.
 “Who's Splimy?” Kari asked.
“Splimy was his servant. After meeting him I didn't trust him, so I did some research on him and discovered that O'Cloral and O'Shawnace's people moved to Splimy's world of Enilna after their world of Quirton was destroyed by their own sun. They then took over Enilna and made all the people their slaves.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“So what makes you so sure this Splimy guy did something?” Ana asked.
“Splimy's people don't normally have any ambition or thoughts other than what their masters tell them. But something about Splimy's attitude told me that he wasn't a conformist. I believe he drugged O'Shawnace or something, that's the only explanation for his behavior.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“I see, Why didn't you ever tell me?” Kari asked.
“About being a guardian? Well at the time of your training I didn't think about it and didn't feel it was that important. Then I was called away on a mission and by the time of I returned you had moved here and I haven't had the time to get here, till now.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“What's the big deal? So you become a guardian instead of a warrior. What's the difference?” Ana asked.
“You haven't told them, yet?” Sailor Dimetria asked.
“The difference? No, not yet.” Kari said.
“So what's this big difference?” Ron asked.
“The difference is a Guardian must guard the warp from the inside out where as Warrior must guard it from the outside in.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“Huh, that doesn't make any sense.” Ana said.
“Sure it does. A Warrior guards the warp from the outside by using their senses and feelings, while a Guardian guards the warp from the inside where there senses and feelings are a lot stronger and are on hand immediately at the first sign of danger.” Kari said.
“So what your basically saying is that you're going to have to spend a little more time in the warp. What's the big deal?” Ron asked.
“The big deal is that it's not a little more time it all the time.” Kari said.
“The day Kari agrees to become a guardian she will not be allowed to leave the warp for more than an hour, no more than 2 every other day.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“Star Galaxy didn't say anything about that.” Kari said.
“Well he doesn't believe in it nor does he know about the fact that I've done it. He probably wouldn't like it if he knew I was telling you about it. But then he also doesn't approve in making your own world.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“Making your own world? What do you mean?” Kari asked.
“If you decide to become a guardian I'll show what I mean. I'm going to hang around for a while till you've made you're decision. If the answer is yes then we'll go into the warp together and I'll show you some secrets that I learned.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“So what happens if she says no?” Ana asked.
“Well If she decides not to then we'll go together to help train the new person.”
“What's the big deal in training someone new?” Ana asked.
“The problem is I have to decide weather or not to become a guardian or to turn the job over to someone new. Someone who's never had any training as a Sailor Scout or a Warrior.” Kari said.
“Well I see your point but why can't you just continue on the same way you've been doing it. It's worked up till now.” Ron said.
“O'Cloral and O'Shawnace's people are dimensional beings. They have the power to travel the warp with no problems or external source. People like that don't activate your senses when you're outside the warp. You can only know when one of these people are in the warp if you are truly connected with the it and the only way to do that is to become one with it. The best way to do that is to live in the warp.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“So that's no big deal go get this new person and with everyone's help will have this new person train and ready for battle within two weeks time.” Ron said.
“Yeah by the time we're through with them they'll be ready to take on anyone, anytime, anyplace.” Ana said as she smiled in excitement about the new training and turned to Ron who looked to her just as excited about the prospect of training someone new. When they looked up Kari was half was out of the forest. Ron started to go after her when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw Sailor Dimetria.
“What are you doing?” Ron asked. “I've got to go after her.”
“No, she's made her decision. Trust me, if she's anything like me, her mind was made up the moment she heard the choices.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“Trust you? First this star guy shows up, starts bossing and pushing us around. Then you show up and tell us that Kari has to become a guardian and move into the warp, for good and you expect us to trust you?!” Ana asked a little on the furious side now.
“Suit yourself but it doesn't matter if you trust me or not. Kari does and that's all that matters. Now if you'll excuse me I have to prepare things for Kari's arrival.” Sailor Dimetria said.
“But how can you?” Ron asked.
“Yeah ,if Kari's the guardian of the warp. That means she controls it right?” Ana asked.
Sailor Dimetria just nodded her head and went “umhum.”
“Then how can you get in the warp?” Ron asked.
“A dimensional warrior and dimensional being are a lot alike. We can both travel through the warp with ease. The difference is one we don't have to go through the warp tunnel to reach our destination unless it's on the other side of the galaxy. We simply find a weak spot and concentrate on our destination and go through the weak point. Now if you'll excuse me I've got to go.” With that Sailor Dimetria turned around and disappeared into the warp.
“Real Sociable.” Ana said.
“Kari told me a little about her once. She was orphaned at a young age and was put in a foster home.” Ron said.
“What's that?” Ana asked.
“Kari says, that their homes of total strangers willing to provide them shelter for a short period of time. She was in many of those kinds of homes. She never had what you'd call a real home or family. She also never time, to make friends, good friends. Kari said that's why she hated being coped up in the warp because she's never had to settle down and stay in more than one place for a time. She likes her freedom.” Ron said.
“That  explains why she's not very talkative or sociable.” Ana said.
“Yeah, come on Kari will probably stop by the palace before she leaves, come on.” Ron said grabbing her hand and pulling her off in the direction of the palace.
Sailor Dimetria entered the warp to prepare it.
“Hello Dimetria.” She turned around and was surprised to see Star Galaxy just sitting there in front of her.
“Star Galaxy! What are you doing here?”
“I just decided to stick around and make sure didn't need any help settling in.”
“Yeah sure you did.  You just stuck around to make certain Kari made the right choice.”
“Dimetria such hostility. What would make you think that?”
“Simple that's just about the same thing you did to me.”
“I don't know what you're talking about.”
“I'm talking about the fact that when we first met you told me that I had two choices. Either become a guardian or give up my power and train someone new.”
“Really? I don't remember that.”
“Yeah well let me refresh your memory.”
Meanwhile Kari was slowly packing trying to decide what to take with her when she heard the front door and then watched as Nate walked in the room.
“Hey I saw Ron and Ana and they told me what happened. What happened? Is it true are you really leaving?” Nate asked.
“Yeah, I don't have a choice. I can't ask or force someone else to do what I've been trained to do.” Kari said sitting down on the bed.
“I guess I wouldn't won't that either. But I'll miss you.”
“I'll miss you too, but you don't have anything to worry about. Our friends will look after you if you look after them.”
“I will don't worry.”

They hugged and then Kari grabbed his hand stood up and turned to face him as she said; “Now there's a party going on at the Palace right?”
“Yeah so?”
“So I want you to go and have a good time.”
“Are you sure?”
“Positive.” Kari said pushing him out the door.
Back in the warp Star Galaxy and Sailor Dimetria were still fighting.
“I don't care what you think. I believe that Kari will worry about her friends.”
“That's not what she says. She's always maintained that they can get along without her.”
“Yeah but even so I still believe she'll worry even if it's just a little and even if she doesn't admit it.”
“Your nuts.”
“Maybe so, but I think there's only one way to alleviate her fears.”
“What do you propose?”
Meanwhile at the palace. Nate was already depressed but got even more so seeing his girlfriend dancing with T.J. He walked over to the buffet table just as Ron and Ana walked over to him.
“Hey Boomerang, How's Kari doing?” Ron asked.
“O.K. I guess. She was packing when I left and if I wasn't depressed enough before I got here I am now.” Nate said.
“Why what's wrong?” Ana said.
“Take a look.” Nate said pointing to T.J. and Ariana dancing and laughing.
“I see why you're depressed.” Ron said.
“Yeah.” Nate said.

She finished packing and after putting her suit case and duffle bag outside the door she then grabbed up her back pack turned around and took one last look around the house and said, “Well it looks like that's about all.” Then she turned around shut the door picked up her bags and headed back to the warp. On the way she heard some music coming from the direction of the palace she decided to head over in that direction. When she got there she set her suit case on the ground next to a bench, her duffel bag on the bench and her backpack on her bag. Then she walked over and looked in the big French doors. She so wanted to go in but didn't know what she'd say. How could she just walk in there and tell them. She didn't want to ruin their party but she also hated the idea of not saying goodbye since she had no idea when she'd be back or if she'd even be back in their lifetime. But the question still remained what should she do? Go in and say her goodbyes and leave it up to Ron and Ana to explain what happened or just hope they understand how painful it was to say goodbye and why she left without saying goodbye. Then she looked up at the sky and then turned away from the door trying to think of something. Suddenly the answer came to her in an unexpected way.
“Kari, what are you doing out here?”
“Huh.” Kari said turning around in surprise, “Oh hi Max.”
“Hey, don't tell me you still don't think you belong at the party?”
“What are you talking about, Max?”
“Don't you remember? The day we met after the battle we were having a party and you ran away from me because you couldn't become Sailor D since you used up all your power in the battle.”
“Max that was years ago. What made you think of that?”
“I don't know, something about the way you looked at the door, made me think of it.” Max said looking around and spotting Kari's bags.
“What's with the bags? Are you going somewhere?”
“I'm leaving Max. Possibly for good.”
“What? Why? Does this have something to do with Ron and Ana?”
“No, why do you think that?”
“Because when they showed up at the party and asked if we had seen them. Then later I saw them dancing together.”
“Oh, no. I know now how Ron really feels and knowing only makes this decision easier.”
“What do mean decision? Why are you leaving?”
“I have to choose between turning my power over to a new inexperienced scout and give them the job of living and guarding the warp or doing the job myself.”
“Why do you have to move? Can't you just continue on the way you have been?”
“Ron and Ana asked the same thing. Basically I'm connected to the warp and I can feel what it feels. However dimensional beings like O'Cloral and O'Shawnace's people are able to travel the warp without affecting the warp in any way leaving my senses un-touched. They can also mask my senses so that  don't know what's happening. However if I live in the warp and become one with it. They can't mask my senses that way. Right now the threat of attack from O'Shawnace's people is a real possibility. That's the reason I have to now live in the warp.”
“I see, but you know, so what bring them on?”
“Max, think about this. Everyone on that planet has anywhere from 10 times to ½ the power of O'Shawnace and everyone on that planet combined would equal about 20 times that of O'Cloral. Now do you see my point?”
“Oh yeah, I see your point. But you'll be back, right?”
“I don't know.”
“What do you mean you don't know?”
“Once you become a guardian your there till your time is up. There's no time limit on this job. If not for Jennifer's mother Sailor Dimetria would possibly still be a guardian.” Kari explained just as Metalla walked up.
“What are you two doing out here? Come in and join the party.” Metalla said just as she noticed the sad looks between them. “What's wrong? What's going on?”
“Kari's leaving.” Max told her.
“What? Why?” Metalla asked.
Kari looked at her then looked inside realized that at this rate she would have to explain the whole story over and over again to everyone. She realized that there was only one way to avoid that. That was to go inside and due what she wanted to avoid. Tell everyone inside the whole story. She looked back at Metalla and grabbed her hand and said, “Come on I'll explain everything.” Just as they stepped inside Ron and Ana ran over to them.
“Kari we were worried about you?” Ron said.
“Yeah, are you ok?” Ana asked.
“Yeah I'm fine. Will you guys come with me?” Kari asked.
Sure, Where? Ron asked.
“You'll see. Just follow me.” Kari said.
They all followed Kari to the main stage. Kari's a little on the shy side and was a little afraid of being up in front of all those people. Max of course was used to it and stepped up to the microphone.
“Attention, Attention please. Kari has something to tell us.” Max said.
Kari smiled at him “Thanks.”
After spending the next half hour explaining and answer questions Kari headed out to the warp. She opened a door to the world inside the warp that she was creating and set her bags just inside and then the door closed. She then took out her pink teardrop crystal and started concentrating. Suddenly the crystal started levitating between her hands. Then a bright light temporarily blinded everyone and then the warp door appeared bigger than ever before.  Then the necklace dropped, Kari then took off the necklace, walked over to Haylie and put on her and said. “Promise me you'll take good care of it.”
“I promise I will.” Haylie said smiling holding and looking at the necklace.
“The better you care for it, the better it'll care for you. It  doesn't have much in the way of power but it has very little left.”
“Really, cool, thank. Are you sure?” Haylie asked.
“Yeah I'm sure.” Kari said walking back to the warp. “Well I guess this is goodbye.” She said as went to hug all her friends one last time. Then she transformed into Sailor D and entered the warp. Then she waved to her friends both side to side and by closing her hand as the warp door slowly closed. Kari never told them what Sailor Dimetria told her about being allowed out for no more than an hour at a time because she felt it first would be too painful to only come for one hour a day if she could even come. Star Galaxy told her to be a better guardian she needs to know all she can about the worlds she was protecting, she figured most of her time would probably be spent doing that. Once the warp door closed everyone just stood there still a little in shock over losing a friend. But in the warp Kari was about to get a surprise of her own. She had just opened the door to her world when she heard.
“Hey Dimetria long time no see.”
“Huh, excuse me? Who are you?” Sailor D asked turning around to see a guy dressed in a Sailor outfit.
“Oh, I'm sorry I thought for a moment that Dimetria had returned.”
“Who are you?” Sailor D asked
“Oh, my names Sailor Dream Star and you.”
“I'm Sailor Dimension but my friends call me Sailor D.”
“So what would you like to me to call you?”   
“That depends.”
“On what?”
“On whether or not you want to be friends, so what do say want to be friends?”
“Yeah, sure. Of course.”
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure, what?”
“Why Sailor Dream Star?” Sailor D asked.
“Yes, I've heard all the jokes from other Sailor Scouts.”
“Other Sailor Scouts?”
“Yes there are Sailor Scouts through out all known Galaxies.”
“Really? I thought the title Sailor would be reserved only for female scouts.”
“Yeah, well what can I tell you? All I know is that this was the name given to me when I became a scout.”
“Oh I see, but why does it look like you're behind a wall.”
“That's because I am.”
“What do you mean?”
“I'm the exact opposite of what you are?”
“What does that mean?”
“Your new at this job aren't you?”
“Well kinda, I've been a warrior and protector for years. I've just now become a guardian. What does that have to do with it?”
“Well they rarely know everything when they first get this job. It's all right I'll teach you.”
“Really you will?”
“Sure.”
“What did you mean when you said that you were the exact opposite of me?”
“Well quite simple. You are the guardian of the dimensional warp. Well so am I. You see for every decision made there is an equal and opposite reaction. There are two types of reality. If say one morning you had the choice between orange juice and grape juice. You chose orange juice but you spilled it and were late for an appointment. Later on you meet a biker, he offers you a ride and you refuse it. While in another world you chose grape juice and didn't spill it and made it to your appointment on time. Then you meet the biker who offered you the ride, this time you accept the ride and became his permanent biker babe. Get the picture?”
“Yeah, I do. But which world is which?”
“Well, the world where you refused the ride, those are the worlds that you guard. Where as the world where you accepted the ride, those are the worlds that I guard.”
“Oh I see.”
“Don't worry we have plenty of time to talk about it.”
In a cave, two people were sitting there.
“Well they should be able to relax.” One of them said, revealing themselves to be Miko and Hemlock.
“Yes they should be able to now.” Hemlock said.
Suddenly a green flash filled the room.
“Master, what brings you here?” Hemlock said.
“Do not relax yet, for the final act is about to begin.” Delphius said.
“I see what you mean master, we will be on the look out.” Hemlock said.
Delphius smiled and disappeared.
Meanwhile in the northern mountain region, Splimy was extremely happy.
“Now that O'Shawnace is out of the way, I can prepare for my take over of Mobius, and with these I'll have no problem.” Splimy said laughing as lights came on over two incomplete machines.
One week later Miko found Metalla sitting outside watching the kids play hide and go seek.
“Greetings your majesty.”
“Huh, oh you startled me. Miko wasn't it?”
“Yes mam.”
“What can I do for you? There's nothing wrong is there?”
“Oh no, I didn't mean to scare you.”
“No, it's all right I'm just thankful that it's so peaceful for a change.”
“Yes well I wanted to talk to you about Coll.”
“What about him?”
“Well Hemlock suggested that we should offer to teach Coll how to use and develop his gift. He also suggested that we keep Coll on a permanent basis to train, but I convinced him that neither one of you would agree to that.”
“Your right we wouldn't. So what did you decide?”
“I decided that it would be best to ask you if you would allow us to teach Coll for about 2 hours everyday after school and for about 4 on the weekends?”
“I talk it over with Max but I'm certain I'll get him to agree with it.”
“Thank you, we would also like Max to join us for at least an hour during one or more sessions.”
“I'll see what I can do, but why?”
“Those nightmare dream visions Max has of the future. Those dreams or premonitions are the same type of things that Coll has. We think we can help Max to develop his powers and maybe even bring him and Coll closer together.”
“Do you really believe that?”
“Well I don't know but isn't it worth a try?”
“Yeah your right. I'll talk it over with Max and see when he can work with you and what days.”
“Thank you I really appreciate it.”
Outside everyone was starting to leave when Ana noticed Ron's amulet starting glowing.
“Hey look, Ron your amulet's glowing.” Ana said.
“Hey what's going on?” Ron asked.
Just then Star Galaxy appeared.
“You again.” Ron said.
“You know this guy, Ron?” Max asked.
“Let's just say we've met.” Ron said.
“So, why's Ron's amulet glowing?” Ana asked.
“Simple the dimensions of the warp have realigned to adjust to Kari. Your amulet is now useless.” Star Galaxy said.
“What do you mean useless?” Ron asked.
“Simple your amulet will no longer be able to open the gate.” Star Galaxy said.
“Why not? It opened before when Kari was inside.” Max said.
“Before the warp drew its power from two sources. Dimetria and Kari. Now it only has one source, Kari. Due to this your amulet will no longer be able to open it and now,” Star Galaxy said grabbing Ron's amulet and circling his hand just above it then he released it.
“Hey what did you do?” Ron asked.
“I simply applied a little power to your amulet preventing it from ever opening the portal again. On purpose or by accident.” Star Galaxy said.
“That's not fair.” Metalla said.
“Yeah what if Kari ever needs our help?” James asked.
“She a guardian now she must learn to deal with things on her own.” Star Galaxy said.
“That's not right she's our friend we want to be there for her if she ever needs us.” Ariana said.
“To you hate her or us that much.” Nate asked.
“I don't hate any of you. Every guardian once they enter the warp are on their own.” Star Galaxy said.
“Don't worry she not alone. She never will be and if she ever needs us we'll see her again.” Haylie said.
“How do you know that, Haylie? Did Kari tell you that?” T.J. asked.
“No, no one told me that. I know it.”
“How do you know that?” Ron asked.
“This is how.” Haylie said holding up the pink teardrop crystal Kari had given her. “Kari told me it has limited powers but I know it will take us too her if she ever needs us.”
“Let me see that.” Star Galaxy said reaching for the necklace but just as his hand got within an inch of it he was shocked back.
“What happened?” Ana asked.
“The pendant knows he wants to break any and all ties to the warp and it won't allow it.” Haylie said. “He also knows that Kari's not alone and that in a sense she never will be because she'll always have us.” Haylie said.
“What are you…oh, not him I told him to stay on his side of the warp.” Star Galaxy said.
“What are you mean his side of the warp?” Max asked.
“There are two types of warps reality and the alternate reality. Kari has Reality and Sailor Dream star he has alternate reality.” Star Galaxy.
“Why can't one do both?” T.J. asked.
“There are in two separate sections and both combined would just be way to large and too much for any one person. I'm going to have a talk with Dream star I've told him to stay on his side of the warp.” Star Galaxy said.
“Can't you just leave well enough alone?” Ron said.
“What's that supposed to mean?” Star Galaxy asked.
“It means from what we've heard you're doing everything in your power to make certain that Kari is all alone without anyone!” Kat said.
“Fine I'll leave everything as it is.” Star Galaxy said with a huff and then turned to leave but paused with one hand on the warp door. He then turned and said, “You know I don't guess Dimetria realized that guilt and sympathy work both ways.”
“What are you talking about?” Max asked.
“Dimetria said that Kari would feel guilty about leaving you without he powers even though she denies it.” Star Galaxy said.
“What does that mean?” Ron asked.
“You'll see.” Star Galaxy said as he turned and left leaving everyone wondering what he meant by that.
“With any luck that'll be the last time we see him.” Ron said.
One year later. Max always makes time to spend at least one to two hours a week with Coll at his training sessions. Sara and Steve had healthy baby boy that they named Sam. He's now 3 months old. This particular day though everyone was gathered around for a picnic barbeque. It was a day of celebration a day for which everyone wanted to celebrate. Sonic had started this tradition shortly after becoming King, with him however it was only close friends that came over to celebrate. Max made it a national holiday and Metalla suggested inviting everyone for what would become an annual picnic barbeque.  For you see this was the anniversary of the day that Mobius saw the end of Robotnik's tyranny and the reign of the hedgehogs began. Everyone would bring something to the picnic. This day was supposed to be clear but for some reason an unexpected storm hit. Everyone hurried inside and continues the party inside. Max and Metalla were sitting on the throne. Gene was sitting in Metalla's lap taking a nap while Coll was sitting in Max's lap with Haylie was standing next to them talking to Coll, when suddenly Coll was struck with a strange shocking feeling.
“Coll are you all right?” Haylie asked.
“Yeah I'm fine.” Coll said relaxing a little. “We have to go.”
“Go where?” Haylie asked.
“To the warp.” Coll said getting up and going to his mother. “Mom we have to go now!”
“Coll honey what's wrong? We can't go anywhere it's raining.” Metalla said.
“It'll stop raining mom trust me.” Coll said.
“Sweetheart even if it stopped raining it'd still be wet and muddy out and I don't want you or your brother to catch a cold.” Metalla said.
“Mom please it's important.” Coll said as Max pulled him over close.
“Coll what has gotten into you?” Max asked.
“Something's happening and we have to be there.” Coll said.
“Something bad?” Max asked.
“No something good.” Coll said.
“Coll I thought you could only see bad things?” Metalla asked.
“I could up till about a couple of months ago. Miko and Hemlock have been teaching me to use my senses as well as my sight. Don't you feel it dad?” Coll asked.
“Coll…I.”
“Just close your eyes and feel. Don't think, don't do anything but feel.” Coll said.
“All right.” Max said closing his eyes and trying to relax enough to feel. Suddenly he felt the same kind of shock that Coll had felt. “What was that?”
“That's why we have to go.” Coll said.
“But what does it mean?” Max asked.
“I don't know, but I do know that we need to go. Now!”
“All right you and Haylie round up the others and we'll meet you at the door.” Max said.
“Right,” Coll said. “ Haylie you go get T.J., Ariana, Fists and Steve. I'll go get Ron, Ana, Kat and Nate.” Coll said.
“Right.” Haylie said going to each of them and telling them that there's an important thing that they have to do and to meet everyone outside. While at the same time Coll did the same thing. A few minutes later everyone met outside and after quickly explaining the situation they followed Coll to a location near the warp. Just as Coll had said the rain had stopped just before they got out side. Just as then a lightening bolt hit the ground a few feet in front of them causing smoke to fill the air. Then the images of three Sailor Scouts appeared in front of them.
“Sailor D?” Max asked.
“Sailor Dimetria?” Ron asked.
“Sorry but Kari's still guardian.” The one on the right said.
“Yeah she'll probably be there for a couple of more years if not a couple of centuries.” The one on the left said.
“We'd been here sooner but they needed more training before I'd allow them to use their powers outside the training ground.” The one in the middle said.
“Who are you?” Max asked.
“Sorry, Silver.” The one in the middle said instructing the one on the right.
“Right, Wind Circle.” The one on the right said holding up her hand. The wind picked up and the smoke from the one in the center vanished.
Who are you?” Kat asked.
“I am Sailor Saturn. We are from Crystal Tokyo.”
“What's Crystal Tokyo?” Nate asked.
“Well while you've been here an ice age has come to earth but was unfrozen by the powers of Sailor Moon's Silver Crystal transforming the earth into a new Silver Millennium and Tokyo is now Crystal Tokyo. Sailor Moon has now become Neo-Queen Serenity and Tuxedo Mask is now King Endymion.”
“Wait a minute, Sailor Saturn? Kari told me about you, you're known as the scout of death and destruction.” Nate said.
“Yes, I am known as the scout of destruction, people fear me because I have the power to destroy worlds.”
“You really have the power to destroy worlds?” Ariana asked.
“Are you going to destroy our world?” Haylie asked.
“No, I'm simply here as a guide for my trainees. I'll only be here for a couple of months to get my trainees settled in.” Sailor Saturn said.
“Your trainees?” Metalla asked.
“Yes I'd like you to meet Sailors Sailor and Fox. Silver.”
“Right, Wind Gust!” The one on the right said. With that all a giant gust of wind picked up and all the smoke vanished.
“I am Sailor Silver. I have the power to control the weather.” The one right said.
“I am Sailor Fox. I have power over animal and insects.” The one on the left said.
“Reluctantly with persuasion from Kari, Star Galaxy has authorized us to be allowed to reveal our true identities since we will be here for a while. Sailor Dimetria has asked if Silver Fox could come and help defend this planet just like Kari did.” Sailor Saturn said as she and the others change back to normal. “I am  Hotaru Tomoe and Silver here is Sakura Motamiya and Fox here is her little sister Austin Motamiya.
Meanwhile in the northern mountain region, Splimy was working  on one of what appeared to be robots. He tried time and time again to start them and get them working. He then kicked it and said, “Stupid piece of junk. Why don't you want to work?” He asked himself.  Then he opened it up and started rummaging around inside checking all the wires plugs then said, “Ah ha so that's the problem! The power core is damaged. Now what's wrong with this one?” He asked himself rummaging around the other one. “Great half the wiring is shot. Terrific the only place to get a new power core is on the other side of the universe, my wiring can only be found on the other side of the galaxy and my money supply is limited after getting those hypnotics drug I gave to O'Shawnace. Now I've got to figure out where to get the money to get the pieces to make my machines unstoppable. But once I do look out, I will not only rule this planet but this entire Galaxy and pretty soon the whole universe.” He said as his evil laughter filled the air.
