Description:
Pegasus is the inventor of the Duel Monster game. Well actually, he re-invented it from an ancient game that was like Duel Monsters. Pegasus wasn't always bad he turned that way after he lost the love of his life to an illness. So he was trying to find a way to bring her back to life, but even though his cause was noble (short of), he still did some horrible things in his quest to get her back.

Pegasus had hoped to use Kaiba virtual reality system and the millennium items to try to bring back his wife. With every soul he trapped in the shadow realm, the greater his power. When he lost to Yami he realized that, that goal was now impossible. He released Yugi's grandfather and the Kaiba brothers. Shortly after he did Yami Bakura showed up! His goal too is to collect Millennium Items and felt that now that Pegasus was weakened from his match with Yami, he could easily take his Millennium Eye! So Yami Bakura forced a duel on the playing field of their minds and not only defeated Pegasus but stole his Millennium Eye!
