Hi I'm Cathy.
My boyfriend and I have been going out for ten months.
There is a lot of culture differences but I like his way of thinking better than
my used to be and therefore I feel I'm a better person and we get along better.
We still have problems due to the different cultures but we are trying to get through them the best we can.
I know we are not very long together but we are so in love that we can't help
but think of marriage and stuff and that's where the really difficulty comes in.
I want to get married in a Catholic church. I want my children to believe in Jesus as God and so on.
He on the other hand is not soo religious but is dead set on being Muslim and so on.
I'm so scared that this relationship will end when we reach to the point of marriage or just after.
I love him sooo much.
If anyone has any comment or advice please write.
Thank you and God bless.

Hassan and I have been together more than a year at this point, and are planning to get engaged this summer (2000).
We met in December 1998 when I transferred to university in Cairo, and we've been together ever since.
I'd love to hear from anyone else in similar situations.
We're currently dealing with some issues with involving his family,
so if anyone has any family advice, it would be VERY helpful!

My husband and I met on Matchdoctor.com in June of 2000.
He started to e-mail me as a joke because I said I only wanted a Christian,
then I began to realize that Islam wasn't what I thought it was at all (I knew nothing about it),
then I came to Egypt in September of 2000 for a 2 week visit and we were married by the end of the first week!
I converted to Islam after 6 months (actually reverted since we believe this to be the true religion).
We live here in Egypt and now have a beautiful daughter :)
I would love to hear from others and exchange advice, experiences, etc.!

We married March 17, 2002 in Cairo, Egypt.
After a long ordeal with immigration, my husband finally arrived here December 3, 2003 on a K-3 visa.
We are finally living in one place and doing our best to adjust to married life...together.
My husband is learning slowly about American culture, food and additudes.
He's often homesick and stays connected to his family by phone and the internet.
We've been married 2 years but December 2003 was basically the beginning for us.
Thank you to the wonderful people who corresponded with me and offered advice and support.
We'd love to hear from anyone else who's taking on the same journey.
Our work is not yet done, but we're looking forward to finally doing it together.

This is our picture!
Hi all ..it started at 25 of August 2000 at night I was doing nothing and it was the first time for me on ICQ and she was the first person that I talk to on ICQ.
I started talking with message Hi ..do you like to talk ?
and she said yes and it was the first time for her to answer some one stranger for her on icq becouse of the bad people who use icq with bad way
..any way ..it started like that and talking every 3 day's and after that talking every 1 day and after that talking every day and night.
We did not have enough from talking about every thing that any one could think about...
and my Gosia tried to send me invitation 2 time's to visit Poland but it did not work for some resons (exactly 11 of September)
and at last she came to me with her father for one month in July 2002
and we did get married in Cairo at 24 of July 2002 and all of my family was happy becouse of her.
Her father was with Gosia becouse the tradition in Egypt is to ask the hand of the girl from the father
so he came with her and it was really great time for all of us.
Now we are planning wedding party in Poland for the Family here. At last from being lonly in life i had some one close to me to talk with...
and after from having just some one to talk with i have her now as my WIFE and family and every thing i have in this world and my love..
We come from two different religions, two different cultures but there is no differences between us AT ALL,
we laugh of the same jokes and we love and know how to talk, there is respect and love each one day of our life together.
It's the story from my side :) ok It was my Adel, now me..Gosia...
but I will not add anything more, becouse everything what my honey said is truth and I can tell all of You only,
that I can't imagine my life without my Adel, he is the second part of apple for me.
Each one morning we say "good morning my love" with big kisses, maby
It's so normal and simple but what's the best in all of that, that i'ts the pure and the strongest love I could only dream about,
but with Adel all my dreams came true.
I am the most happy girl around the world and proud of having Adel as my husband.
I love you Adel.
I love you my Gosia

My name is Tomas, I'm from Puerto Rico, I met my beautiful Egyptian wife Rania and we are expecting our first child.
One of the most interesting challenges we face as a married couple is to learn and understand eachothers culture.
Especially the food, music, family values and the language.
We would like to receive correspondence from couples with similar stories.

ASA and Hello all!!! We met through the internet and met in person after 3 months of chatting online and by phone,
got engaged, and by certain circumstances, we moved to Egypt (Mohamed went first, I came almost a month later), and got married!
Now we are living in Egypt. I have never been to Egypt before (or even out of the country) and LOVE it here!!
My husband's family is wonderful and has welcomed me here with open arms. I couldn't ask for a more loving family.
We have been thinking on and off about coming back to the USA, but right now, we are definitely here for at least 2 years.
We hope to meet other people who are in the same situation as us. Thanks!!

Hi everybody!
Tamer and me met 2 years ago in Sharm el Sheikh.
I think the distance make our love stronger. In 2 years I went 18 times to Egypt.
We get married the 1st of March and the French ambassy in Cairo makes it very hard for us!
It's a shame how they behave and talk with us, specially with him.
Maybe there are people who get married to get the nationality, or any other reason,
but they don't understand that some of them love each other and that the wedding day should be one of the most beautiful day in your life...
Hopefully I'll come in August and if he doesn't like my country we makes plan to go back in Egypt.
Sometimes I worry a little bit for the future but I think you don't need to get married with another nationality for this, just look around you.
It's beautiful how much you can learn with somebody from a different culture and this have to make us stronger!
