We're a military family. Gustavo is a staff sergeant in the US army
and we met in 1998 in Buffalo, NY, where he was stationed as a recruiter.
We have now been happily married for 1 year and things are fantastic between us.
We do have to speak English to each other, though, because we have had some embarrasing moments
when speaking Spanish with our families and simple words have been misunderstood
and therefore created some funny situations.

Genny Kim (U.S.A.) and Javi Paredes (Argentina)
E-mail: genek16©hotmail.com
My parents are from Korea, but I'm not. I was born and raised in USA and all American.
My fiance is from Argentina and we are trying to get married this December when he comes to the US to visit me.
The thing is he studies in Argentina and I study in the US.
He's already in his 2nd year of medicine and if he studies here,
he'll have to start over and take dumb classes like English 101 and etc.
I would love to study in Argentina but my Spanish is not good enough and I don't have money
to pay for tuition there, because they don't offer scholarships and financial aid.
After the attacks in NYC, we decided that we never ever want to be apart from each other.
So please if you have any ideas on how can we can stay together, please do email.

Our daughter Chiara (born in April 2001) until now can only speak a strange mix of Dutch, Italian, Spanish and also English ... verdaderamente divertido!!

An (U.K.) and Damian (Argentina)
E-mail: ashprof2000©yahoo.com
Damian and I met a few years ago at university in Buenos Aires, and have since been traveling back and fourth to see each other.
We are both still in our early twenties and would rather wait to get married for reasons other than visas,
and have consequently come up against a mountain of red tape.
I am currently visiting Argentina for a couple of months, preparing to move over here, and have even been offered a job.
I don't really have the will to go back home in order to sort my residency visa out (or the money spent in having to return a month or so later)
and would love to hear from anyone who would know of any way of getting something sorted out this end.
