Me and Moutaz just went to see a celebrant last night and it was great!
The celebrant was very kind to us and told us directly that she has good feeling about us and would be happy to marry us.
Although, it was sad that my parents do not accept him with his background and faith.
It could also be the age difference as well as he is three years younger than me.
The funny thing is that he is the one hurry to get marry (our wedding will be at the end of this year).
My only concern about our marriage is about our offspring as it would be super difficult for anyone to learn three completely different language, culture, and faiths.
I am very happy to find your site as it is always hard to be the first one stepping out of the tradition or norm for the society.
It would be easier for a couple to get use to each other with the same background but it is more interesting for couples from different background.
In this relationship, I have found that I become more acceptable for who I really am instead of worrying if I am acting appropriately as what my society accpets.
I become more tolerable to my partner and take easy in everyday life.

Yuan and I met while I was doing a search on finding Asian, female, models for my website.
I am a photographer/ makeup & hair stylist and was looking to do some tfp (time for print) photo shoots for my site!
He came across my page and we began writing what seemed like little short 3 page novels.
That became 2 - 4 hour conversations, which led to us meeting and falling deeply in love!
Boy, I tell you when you have finally met your soul mate; it's such an overwhelming feeling.
You want to smile, cry, and laugh all at the same time!
You feel sad for the lost time that you two have missed in each others lives,
but feel incredibly and overwhelmingly happy for the new, forever lives that you two can begin.
That is what happened with us. We wondered how can 2 people like ourselves, be so much alike and have shared so many of the same experiences.
We finish each other's thoughts/sentences.
We are each other's missing puzzles and we just hold each other and cry a lot of the time!
His parents are Traditional Chinese, however they have embraced me as a future daughter and love me.
My parents totally dote on him and see him as their future son as he already calls them mom and dad.
This first unexpected relationship is finally the one that's right.
We feel so incredibly lucky that we have found one another and have been planning our lives together daily!

Hi everybody!
Tamer and me met 2 years ago in Sharm el Sheikh.
I think the distance make our love stronger. In 2 years I went 18 times to Egypt.
We get married the 1st of March and the French ambassy in Cairo makes it very hard for us!
It's a shame how they behave and talk with us, specially with him.
Maybe there are people who get married to get the nationality, or any other reason,
but they don't understand that some of them love each other and that the wedding day should be one of the most beautiful day in your life...
Hopefully I'll come in August and if he doesn't like my country we makes plan to go back in Egypt.
Sometimes I worry a little bit for the future but I think you don't need to get married with another nationality for this, just look around you.
It's beautiful how much you can learn with somebody from a different culture and this have to make us stronger!

Since I did my studies in Islam I knew that I couldn't date now because it was haram.
So I asked him if he would marry me. So 2 weeks later I told my parents I was going to marry him.
I was only 17 but the next weekend I was turning 18 so I was legal and we got married.
We married in the Mosque. I also converted to Islam in my wedding.
I love being married to him. He has definetely made my perspective of life wonderful other than partying and acting stupid.
I thank Allah that he brought someone so special into my life.
And now we have been married for 1 year and I am finally going to Pakistan.
I'm very excited. Inshallah all will go well.

I was on my Yahoo messenger and was looking for a girlfriend of mine that I used to chat with all the time.
I never go into chat rooms, but knew she used to go into this one chat room all the time so I went in there to find her,
and Flory was in there, at the time I had no idea who he was.
He tried to talk to me, but I just ignored him and signed off of my messenger.
When I returned the next day, I noticed that someone had left me several messages, they said, “Hello pretty lady, how are you today?” and other very nice gentleman like comments.
I ignored them, and minded my own business, and he tried for 2 weeks to get me to talk to him, but I would ignore all his kind words.
One day I decided to tell him to leave me alone, and we began chatting, and it has grown into a beautiful relationship.
Flory does not have a computer in his home, so he goes to a local Internet Café to chat with me every day.
He and I have chatted every day since we met.
When we are online, we spend about 4 or 5 hours or more talking.
We both have web cams, which makes it nice to see each other every day.
We voice chat on the internet also, which saves on long distance phone charges.
We call each other on the phone at times too.
We both have cell phones, and when we can not be on the computer together, we send text messages to each other very often.
We talk about everything in our lives that is going on.
We talk about our friends, our families, our favorite things, and things we don't like so well also.
We have been supportive of each other when things get rough in our lives too.
I was not expecting to meet anyone as wonderful as Flory, I was not looking for anyone in my life at that time.
We learn things from each other every day, Flory tells me of the history of his country all the time, he knows so much, and I love hearing stories about his country.
Recently, Flory has asked for my hand in marriage, and I proudly accepted.
We have talked about our life together and how beautiful it will be.
We have talked about how we would grocery shop together, and how much fun it will be.
We have talked about how we will dance together very much.
We have laughed together, cried together, been angry together, and have talked about serious issues in our lives.
I can say that Flory and I have talked about things that my first 2 husbands and I never have discussed.
I have even begun teaching my children simple Albanian words like their numbers 0 through 10,
days of the week, how to say Happy Birthday, how to say I LOVE YOU, and of course, how to say Chocolate Milk!
I am planning to visit him in his country soon and I am very excited!
My family is a little more unexcited, because they have a different image of Albania in their mind.
But when I return with all the pics and show them what an amazing time I had with Flory,
they will have a different image then, and I think it will be easier for them to accept this.
I am a 39 year old mother of 4 amazing children and so my family knows I make my own decisions about my family and my life.
I am excited about visiting Albania, my second home......and I am excited about Flory coming here to the United States to live with us.
He loves the children and the children love him like their best friend!
He is a beautiful soul and I am completely in love with him.

Hello! My husband & I were married in January 22, 2005 in Malaysia.
However, he had to return to his home on February 14, 2005 because he has 2 sons waiting for him there.
At the moment he is staying in Walla Walla, Washington, USA, while I'm still in Malaysia.
He is still trying very hard to get me an Immigrant Visa for spouse.
He has sent Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) to USCIS in Nebraska & already got an Application Receipt Number.
We found out that it will take more than 3 years for USCIS to process the form alone.
Now he is going to send another form, Form I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiance') because with this form,
we hope I can go there within 3 months time after USCIS has processed it.
Other than that, a friend adviced us to contact the local Senators for help.
So far, only one has replied but she won't be able to help us speed the process.
It's a very sad news for both of us :(
Frankly, we don't know what else to do & really hope that someone here could help us by giving us some ideas or advice.

Je l'ai rencontré à Londres.
Je faisais du tourisme culturel et il était étudiant à l'Académie d'Art de Waterloo, originaire d'Azerbaijan.
Il m'a fait visiter tous les musées de Londres et fait découvrir de très bon films, mais surtout l'amour.
Quand j'ai quitté Londres on a gardé contact, on s'envoyait des textos tous les jours et s'appelait aussi souvent que possible.
Nous nous sommes arrangé pour se rencontrer au moins tout les 2 mois.
Cela fait plus d'un an que ça dure et on commence à en souffrir, on voudrait pouvoir vivre ensemble
mais c'est si dur lorsqu'on est pauvre, jeune et que l'on vient d'un pays du tiers-monde.

I am a black American, dating an Italian more than one of his cultural imperfections.
He and his friends say things like everyone wants to be Italian or the Italians are the best at this or that and it gets to me.
It provokes defensive response on my part and I dislike my reaction.
We are both international and interracial this could be a problem.
Maybe I just need to better understand the Italian man, the Italian culture, as should he understand mine.
But, when we began dating more than 2 yrs ago these issues were not the issue,
it was just about what we felt when we were together... isn't that the most important thing after all?

We met on the internet at ICQ and fell in love with each other during the next few weeks while chatting.
When we first met we already knew it was love.
4 months later we moved in our own flat, another 3 months later we planned to marry.
We met for the first time on December, 14th of 2003.
We were married on the same day of 2004.
Our childhood backgrounds couldn't be more different.
Jinghong grew up in the country of a Southern Chinese town with his traditional family, Julia has lived all her life in Germany.
Now we live in Julia's home country where Jinghong studies at the university for a second time (he graduated in China already 5 years ago).
Will we live in China or in Germany later... the future will show it.
But our children will grow up with both languages and cultures, that's for sure.

We met when I worked in one ayurvedic resort in Sri Lanka in 2003 and he was one of the guest.
After 3 weeks of intensive meeting after work, we had to say goodbye.

Finally we decided to made a-6-months Asian Trip and we finished the trip by getting married in 2004!

I met my soulmate online. I went to see him, and while trying to connect flights in London, I was detained and deported.
He flew down from Glasgow, and they wouldn't let us see each other.
I wasn't able to have any counseling or have a second interview, they deported me the next day, after being in a holding room and then a detention center...
We only want to be together. We don't have a lot of money, but we are completely, madly in love, and it's so hard to be kept apart...
They said to go home and apply for a fiance visa, but I know now you have to have met the person in the flesh to do that!
What is the best way for us to get into each other's arms? What kind of visa should I get?
If anyone has any tips, please contact me.
