Nobody believed that our love would work, but we could prove that it's possible.
We met in real in Bali on April 7, 2002.
He was giving me a hug and kissed in the airport,
like we even met before and gave me many cute kangaroo and koala dolls, boomerang and Australian hat :).
We engaged in Jakarta in the same month.
When we walked in the shopping centre, suddenly he wanted buying diamond rings.
Under heavy rain we went to a jewerly shop.
Ray is always full of suprise :)
He often send flowers to my office red and white roses.
We married on April 6, 2003 in Jakarta in a restaurant near a lake.
Now We live in Geelong Australia, near a beautiful beach, with our kids and dog.

Well, I came to USA because of my aunt ( 3rd sister of my dad ).

After a month lived in California, my uncle introduced me with his co-worker.
They work together in the same Casino, my uncle as a poker dealer and my husband as a blackjack dealer.

My husband and I met through the internet of all places!
Actually, the name of the site is www.oneandonly.com
I placed an ad in December of 2000, and got hundreds of responses from all over the world.
I was VERY selective however. Bjorn replied to my ad with a photo and short note one evening.
I liked what I saw and read, and got back with him by email.
We were talking the next night, and our first conversation lasted at least 3 hours!
He then visited me in San Francisco about 4 weeks later. It was definitely love at first sight for me...
When I saw him I knew I had found my soul mate, and that God had answered my prayers.
Next thing you know, I was visiting him in Cincinnati.
He then came to the Bay Area once again to meet my family.
Then, we were off to Southern California for a one week vacation.
This vacation would determine if our long distance relationship was REAL and worth pursuing further into a permanent one.
Well, it most certainly was and I moved to Cincinnati in late August 2001.
He then took me to Germany to meet his family. When we returned, our life together as a couple began.
After living together for 8 months, we decided to make the ultimate commitment a couple can make.
We married October 15, 2002 in Las Vegas Nevada surrounded by family and friends from both continents!
The love we have for each other only grows as time passes.
And, we eagerly await the day when our love expands to include a beautiful child.

I was born in Manila, Philippines and came to Berlin, Germany 19 years ago on a youth exchange programme.
Here I met my husband who proposed marriage after our 4th meeting and got married after nearly 4 months.
At first I was hesitant not only becoz of the brief acquaintance but also becoz he was 4 years younger than I was (he was only 23 and pretty young-looking).
But he showed me that love knows no age and cultural differences.
He introduced me to his family and friends right away.
He always spent his free time with me.
At work he always called me up during his breaks.
Everytime we met, he gave me roses, pralines, dolls.
He seemed to know everything I like without asking for it.
I can never forget how his blue eyes were always sparkling that made me feel I was in cloud 9.
I guessed if I asked him to get some stars in heaven, he would have done it for me.
Now we're married for 18 years and have 4 kids aged 17, 15, 14 and 5.
His blue eyes are still sparkling and I hope it will last 4-ever.
We look forward to our silver wedding anniversary.

We met in a yahoo chat room in February of this year (2003).
We ended up falling in love which suprised both of us.
It's been scary being in a relationship with someone who lives 4000 miles away.
In August 2003 he came to visit me for the first time, for 8 days.
It was wonderful and I was crushed when he had to leave.
We've planned a longer visit over Christmas and so we're counting down the days until then.
He'll be here in just 2 weeks now! He'll be able to stay 17 days.

Hi! We just married in July, 2003 and are living in Oslo, Norway now.
We met in Malaysia when both of us were on backpacking trip, and accidently staying at the same dormroom in the guesthouse.
I was really dark, no make-up, shorts and t-shirt when I first met Jim.
Because I was traveling Thailand before coming down to Malaysia.
We were togethere in Malacca, of course his friends too, for a few days, and we left for differnt direction after that.
Then ,we kept in touch on internet, calling once in a while and sending postcard each other for a while.
After Malaysia, Jim kept his trip through Asia on the way back to Norway.
Of couse ,he stopped in Japan as well.
It was in March 2002. As friends at that time.
But he flew all the way to Japan in order to meet me again as Boyfriend and Girlfriend this time.
I know that it takes quite long time to come to Japan and airticket is not that cheap.
Then i realized that he was serious about this relationship.
It was October 2002. I have moved to Norway in June 2003 to live with Jim.

Last year I married a lovely blonde haired, blue-eyed jazz/R&B singer, Jeanette Kalman, a native of Stockholm, Sweden.

I worked for a Swedish software development company that had offices in NJ where I maintained a permanent residence.

Chad y yo nos conocimos en un viaje que realizé a México, fue amor a primera vista,

Es dificil estar separados, a pesar que Chad viene a Lima cada 3 meses.

My husband and I met on icq back in Nov.99' then one thing lead to the other and within 3 and half weeks I relocated to QC. Canada from Florida to get married to him.
I of course am an American, and my husband is a North American Indian from the Algonquian Micmac tribe, he lived on the Indian Reservation.
At the time it seemed fine, til reality of living in such a barren, prejudice, land became a living nightmare for me.
I loved my husband enough to stay for 3 and half years til we had our first child.
Then I finally told my husband I was going back to the States with the baby and if he wanted to go great,
however if not then I would wait for him still as his wife etc....
hoping he'd come to his senses, and to my amazement right away my husband said he'd been thinking about moving to the States
and if we were leaving he wasn't about to stay behind, so here we are in my homeland of Virginia......
It has been difficult for my husband with having to go through immigration for his and our child's green card, which we finally got,
but my husband gets irritated 'cause he says, he is a North American Indian and shouldn't have to go through all the B/S.
He says, White man first steals land then they take away treaties that were established in trade of the land,
now he has to get a temp. residence card, then a Greencard.
And it's just been very nerve racking for him.
And if it were not for our congressman, my husband and daughter wouldn't have been able to establish what they have,
the immigration office had no clue what a Micmac Indian was even though we had their Band Member paperwork and North American Indian cards,
and they wanted all this money on top of it.
Now my husband works as a clerk making $8.50 a hour, and he feels pretty disgusted.
He doesn't have a college degree, however he did graduate HS, which is rare for most Natives that live where he was born and raised.
Most Natives there to this day go to 8th grade and usually are very addicted to alcohol, drugs, and having sex at 12 or 13 years old,
and not to mention suicide rate is very high, do to a strong belief in spirituality, thank goodness my husband is one of the few to not believe in suicide.
When I lived there everyone pretended to like me that was til I stopped giving them my American money
then I was excluded, and called dirty names, living as a outcast.
My husband was rarely home he took off early and not returning til 10pm sometimes not til 2am.
Most people on the rez do not work or at least year round so they sit around
playing cribbage, cards, boardgames, gambling, getting drunk, stone and having alot of sex.
It was not a place I wanted to be after I seen what life was going to be like for me.
One cannot imagine unless you have lived it. I told him one day that I didn't leave Fla. to come 2000 miles to live my life alone
I was doing that just fine in Fla. and least there I could go to the beach and the weather was wonderful year round,
and I had a job so I didn't feel like I was co dependent.
And mostly people accept you for who you are in the States not for your money.
He felt like I was taking his freedom away, he had been single for 5 years after his wife passed away, so it was definitely a change for us both.
So now we are here in Virginia just making ends meet, and not getting ahead, and it's been a rough start.
We moved here July 2002, so it's not been long.... I wish my husband could get a better job with the Gov't without the commute into Washington, DC
since from my understanding is a minority and / or start his own business.

We have been knowing each other for 3 years now and we have met in Germany where we made our plans to marry.
He does not like the USA so out of my love for him we will go to Jordan to get married and live.
We have been waiting on him to finish his higher education in Germany.
We plan to marry next month which will be March of 2004.
This has been a hard choice to make, to give up my country and my way of life for the man I love,
however we both feel we are soul mates who actually finish each other's sentences we know each other so well.
The only thing I really worry about is pleasing his family, knowing that I have converted to Islam before I met Nedal,
but I am not a devout Muslim as I was not a devout Christian beforehand.
I hope to meet some others going throught the same thing, and maybe even become friends once we get to Jordan.

We met each other when we were working as a volunteer on Kibbutz Yehiam, Israel in the summer of 1998.
We got married in South-Korea in july 2000 (see picture). Now we live together in the Netherlands.
When we were at the Dutch embassy in Seoul, to do all the necessary paperwork for our marriage,
the person at the embassy said my husband was the first Korean man who married a Dutch woman in Korea.
Most couples are a Dutch (Western) man with a Korean woman.
At this site I finally found more couples "the other way around" (=Korean man/Western woman).
I would like to get in touch with other "Western" women who are married to a Korean man.

John and I met through his younger sister. She used to be my best friend.
But when she found out that he and I had been secretly seeing one another, she was not too happy with me.
It took about three years of just kind of dating for him to tell me that he loved me.
We will have been together officially for two years on April 20th 2004.
I love him more now than I ever did. He is my soul mate and the love of my life and I would never want to be with anyone else.
I love his family, they are wonderful.
They are the most laid back, close, and generous bunch of people that I have ever known.
They welcomed me into their home even before John and I were together
because I was having a hard time at home when I was in high school while my parents were going through a really ugly divorce.
That is how John and I started to spend more time together.
He is the most amazing man I know and he treats me like a princess.
It is hard sometimes trying to fit in with his family because they are always spending time together,
something my family only does on holidays, and they are all so nice to eachother all of the time.
But I wouldn't change any of it for the world. I will do anything to be with John for the rest of our lives.
