Man made "fishing ponds"
designed by ancient Hawaiians.
Apparently the fish would come into these circular ponds.
And were trapped!
These structures were really rather impressive.

returning to Maui
We saw this cruise ship.
Momentary memory teased us and we wondered what neat experiences these people were having, being totally catered to; their every whim immediately satisfied by the well trained staff. For a brief instant we bathed in the memory of how delightful these cruises are--and dreamed...
Then with a swift turn
of the copter
we saw Maui.
