In September of 2000, (Retired General) Norman Schwarzkopf visited Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. While here, he was active in promoting pet adoption and humane treatment for all animals. He was kind enough to pose with lots of little darlings, and is shown in the top photo with my friend Janice O'Connor, who runs the web-site "Save the Shelter Pets". Mr. Schwarzkopf is a huge animal lover and has 2 Labs at home!
Of the pets shown above: Little dog was Hannah from the Broward County Humane Society; Puppy was Jimmy Dean from Dade County Animal Control; Cat was Princess Leah from the Cat Network.
