The Weyr Rules
And
Writing Requirements.

This page has two sets of rules on it...One is the BoD rules and the others are from the Dragon Lady herself!!!!! We will start with Ms.McCaffreys Rules.:)

1) We can not use any of Anne's characters from her stories!!!!! They are long dead...So please be original with your sona's and stay out of trouble:)
2)No writing stories set in Ruatha or Benden Weyr. You sona can not come from either  one.
3)No odd colored Dragons. 
There are 5 colors we allow:Gold,Bronze,Brown,Blue and Green. No white,Black or red with purple polka dots!!!!!
4)No religion on Pern!!!! They have living breathing heros no God!!
5)Human Dragon pairs are as follows only....No exceptions!!!

 Gold/Queen:hetrosexual Women only!
  Bronze: Hetrosexual Men only.
 Brown: hetrosexualOr(rarely)Homosexual men.
Blue: Hetrosexual Men and Homosexual Men/Women.
Green: Hetrosexual Women and Homosexual Men.
6)Due to the fact we had a problem this rule is now in writing!!!
No Female rider may have an Honorific(shortened name) unless she is a BlueRider and 100% gay!!!! Also you amy request a Wing but The BoD will decide where your Rider is most needed!!!! If this is a problem please contact the BoD!!!!

1)Do not harass anyone!!! If you have a problem tell the BoD and we will do our best to help both parties involved.
2)No excluding anyone who wants to play!!!!
3)No power tripping!!!!If you have a Ranking sona....Power tripping is a good way to lose it!!!!!
4) No abuse or threats will be tolerated!!!! Anyone caught doing so WILL be BANNED from Caladin!!!
5) This one is the most important of all....HAVE FUN!!!!:)

Writing Requirements

 Status Positions
 Caladin will not lightly give out characters with status positions. We ask
 that you be responsible for your characters Position.
 Gold hatchings are at the BOD's discretion.
 There will be no retired golds. Gold riders are too rare due to the plague
for any to be retired

 The Zine
Role Playing is the main focus of the weyr, but any status position has
writing requirements in the form of Zine stories.Our Zine name, as of right
 now, will be chosen by a contest.   Our first deadline is December 15, 2000
. The Zine will come out every four months or 3 times a year.

Requirement Rules and Tips
 Please follow these rules and tips. They are here for a reason.
 1. Stories containing gratuitous (a lot) sex and/or violence will NOT be
 accepted.
 2. Please send all Zine submissions to Lisa in the body of an email or as
 an attachment.  In the case of an attachment, please note in the body of
the email what it is you are sending to her. For the subject or title of
the email, please put: Caladin Zine Submission.
3. Please remember that you should only have as many personas as you can
comfortably handle. Please don't burden yourself with more personas then
you can handle.
4. Also remember that the more rank a persona has the more requirements it
is expected to have.
5. If for some mundane reason you can not fill all your requirements please
 notify the BOD immediately.

 The Requirements
 Weyrwoman (Filled)
 Two stories per Zine and one Weyr Report per year
Weyrwoman Second (Open)
 One story per Zine. Assistance to the Weyrwoman.
 Weyrleader (Filled)
 Two stories per Zine. One Wing Report for the Wings per year.
 Weyrleader Second (Open)
Three stories per year and Assistance to the Weyrleader.
 Weyrlingmaster/mistress (Filled)
Write two stories a year. In charge of candidate classes and Weyrling
Training schedules.
Weyrlingmaster/mistress Assistant (One for each Weyrling Class-Open)
Two stories per year and assisstance to the Weyrlingmaster/mistress.
Headwoman (One for all the Halls, Holds-Filled)
Two stories and one report on the Kitchens per year
Headwoman Second (One for all the Halls, Holds-Open)
 One story per year and Assistance to the Headwoman
 Wingleaders (Open)
 Three stories a year and one wing report
 Wingseconds (Open)
Two stories a year and assistance to the Wingleader
 Jr. Goldriders (Open)
 Three stories a year. Transfer Queens are included
Hear All Dragons (Two Openings)
To apply for this ability please write the BOD. Four stories a year.
 Goldriders will not be allowed to have this ability because it is Anne's
 territory. Must be up-to-date on all writing requirements.
Bronzeriders (Open)
Must be active in the Weyr. Two stories per year.
Brownriders (Open)
Two stories per year
 Blueriders/Greenriders (Open)
One story per year
Craftmasters (Open)
Three stories per year and one craft report
 Mastercraftsmen (Open)
Two stories per year
Journeymen/women and Apprentices (Open)
One story per year
Weyrlings/Candidates (Open)
One story per year
Lord and Lady Holders (Open)
Two stories a year and one Hold Report. If you own both the holders the
requirements remain the same.
Holders and Holderwives (Open)
One story per year. If you own both of the holders the requirements remain
the same.
These guidelines were written so that we would have plenty of stories in
 our Zine.
