Where did he come from?

What is his back ground?

Where does he get all those wonderful toys?

The geographic isolation of Perfection fit Burt's need for a safe retreat from the menace of nuclear warfare between the United States and the Red Menace. Little did Burt know that his new home would be ground zero for the Graboid Invasion.

Throughout the first three films in the Tremors franchise, we have learned that Burt is an avid gun collector and military historian. And that he seems to have a steady income. But what are the origins of this mysterious recluse?

With the advent of the new Tremors television series, more is being released about Burt.

Apparently, Burt's fortune comes from his great-Grandfather, Hiram Gummer, who was apparently the owner of silver mine(s). What else may be revealed about Burt's background, training and upbringing olnly time will tell.

Pre-1990

Burt marries the lovely Heather. A red-haired woman of considerable firearms skill.

The couple build their survival home in Perfection, Nevada

1990

The graboids appear in Perfection. Heather and Burt survove a damaging attack on their home, and end up celebrities as they are among the handful of survivors of the subterranean monsters' attack.

The couple's fame culminates in an appearance of Soldier of Fortune magazine.

1990-95

Burt and Heather repair the damage to their home.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, Burt's life seems to have no meaning or direction. He slumps into a depression, not sure what the future will hold for him.Heather cannot take seeing Burt this way and leaves him, to go and live with her mother.

1995

Burt is called back into action, subcontracted by Earl Bassett to help in eradicating a Graboid (and Shrieker) infestation in the Petromaya Oil field in Chiapa, Mexico.

Again Burt is thrust into the spotlight with his many kills of the graboid monster.

1995-2001

Burt returns to Perfection, preparing his home, and his way of life, to counter the new threat of Graboids. This includes modifications to his compound in Perfection to protect it from future graboid attacks.

2001

When the Graboids again appear in Argentina, Burt is hired by the government to stop them. Burt's swift victory is televeised locally, and by CNN.

Still later in 2001, Burt again faces graboids when the creatures reappear in Perfection. Again, Burt survives their attack- even forming an uneasy alliance with Department of the Interior agents sent to capture the Graboids for study.

Sadly, in the Graboids attack, Burt's home is destroyed by a huge explosion...

2001-2003

Burt has rebuilt his home- at least underground. Rebuilding his basement, saferoom, and indoor range, Burt opts to forego above ground reconstruction (possibly due to his bachelor lifestyle). Burt erects a surplus Quonset hut above ground, but resides in his secure, anti-graboid bunker.
