Q: Where's The Proof That Budd Dwyer Was Innocent? Where Is All The Defense Material? A: There has been a lot of questions concerning defense material (or lack of) on this website. To answer the question of why there is no defense evidence, is based on the fact that Budd Dwyer was Framed. The word Framed is defined as contrived evidence against (an innocent person) so that a verdict of guilty is assured. It's a very difficult task to clear the name(s) of those who are framed. Budd Dwyer's tragic public suicide has given many people the impression that he was a guilty man who took the easy way out. This could not be any further from the truth. You would first have to understand the concept of how corrupt politics was in Harrisburg, during the 1980's. Secret deals, bribes, scandals, you name it, it happened. Second, you would have to know of the political enemies (in very high places) that Budd Dwyer had. It has been confirmed by many people that Budd Dwyer was often refereed to, by many people as "The Bumpkin From Meadville" and even "The Fat F--k" by those who held great animosity towards him. The reason Budd earned the wrath of so many people was because he was the state treasurer and was very strict when it came to how the state funds were being used. After all, money is the foundation of modern politics. This leads us to the infamous CTA case. To make a very long and complicated story short, a California firm known as Computer Technology Associates (CTA) was looking to be awarded a recovery contract (In Pennsylvania) that was worth millions of dollars. The catch was that CTA wanted to be awarded this contract without any other companies being considered for it. This is where bribes came into the picture. Your first impression would be that Budd Dwyer accepted one of these bribes, which led to his conviction....ect. However, Budd Dwyer was completely unaware that bribes were being offered left and right. He was once quoted as saying he felt confident that CTA would win the recovery contract, even with other companies making a bid for it. You MUST keep in mind that not one penny ever exchanged hands in this case. CTA was awarded the contract, but the contract was canceled soon after Budd learned of an investigation. It wasn't until then, that he realized that secret deals (In large numbers) were going on behind the scenes. Before he knew it, Budd found himself in the middle of a bribery scandal, for which he knew nothing about. This goes back to the very popular theory that Budd's enemies played the biggest role in his wrongful conviction. The original indictment included 3 names. R. Budd Dwyer, Robert Asher, and John Shumaker (A political enemy of Dwyer's). Shumaker's name was completely removed from the indictment, after a closed door meeting with the acting U.S. attorney James West (A strong political enemy of Dwyer). This confirmed fact proves that the CTA case involved secret deals and that the truth never surfaced in court. Budd Dwyer's attorney Paul Killion never called a single witness to the stand in his defense. This was because the evidence against Dwyer was provoked by extreme political persecution. It was literally impossible to convince a jury of this. Therefore, Budd Dwyer and Robert Asher were both found guilty, and took the fall for several corrupt politicians. It's easy to contradict all of the above (And I'm sure many of you will), because there are many different stories from several different people. It's almost impossible to deny that Budd Dwyer was involved in the CTA case. We know this for a fact. However, when it comes down to what really happened, those who knew Budd, know that he would never have signed that contract if he knew that bribes and corruption were behind it. As for those political enemies that were involved in framing Budd Dwyer, an anonymous official said it best, "It's something they're going to have to live with for the rest of their lives."
Q: If This Is A "Tribute Site" Why Do You Have The Uncensored Video Available? A: There were many different factors I considered when deciding to offer the actual uncensored video. Here are a few: * Most people who visit this site, learned of Budd through his suicide. The uncensored video is available for historical purposes (hence all the historical material that proceeds it) and warns anyone, who wishes to view it, of it's vile nature. You are NEVER forced to view any type of disturbing content on this site. * There are several disturbing websites that have made light of this tragic incident. These are usually the sites that offer the uncensored video for download. If someone wishes to view the video (For whatever reason) I rather they see it on this site, which has it along with the story behind it, rather than on a site that exclusively exploits the act itself. * Some
people who visit this website are actually suicidal themselves. I
have received a lot of feedback from people (who were contemplating suicide)
who felt the video itself, made them think twice about choosing to take
their life. Seeing is believing, and it isn't everyday that we see
what kind of negative impact suicide has on those left behind.
