Circle at left was in the "hip" of the roof.

Note: Breaking the dams at the three locations shown above allowed the "built up water" and remaining "snow pack" to melt off the roof "in due course."

On January 27^th, when this picture was taken, the only snow or ice residual is shown here. All that's in the gutters is ice.
