Hello,
Well here they all are. Aren't they adorable? I love them all great big bunches! Here are my babies each and everyone of them.

This is one of our newest additions to the family. She was found outside my home on 01/02/2005. I do believe she was left there on purpose. There isn't anyone in town who don't know I am the cat lady.
Little thing was cold and damp when we heard her outside crying. There was a light drizzle and the winds were blowing. Just too much for a little one to be out there in. She was so small. According to the vet she was probably around 13 weeks, but she wasn't any larger than a six week old kitten. Yes, So me being the softie I am brought her in, fed her, cuddle her and got her warm and took her to the doctor. She slept sound the first night. I'm sure the little one was so happy to be warm and fed. She's a cutie. We (I) named her "Janurary A.K.A. Jan" (named her Jan because she was found in January).
She has a little stub tail. When she gets excited or mad it starts spinning in circles. I told Paul and the boys I'm waiting for her to get it spinning so fast that her little feet come off the floor (smile) like tailspin. We were going to name her stubby, but that's not a very pretty name for such a pretty little girl. She makes number 13 to the family here. All spoiled and loved very much! Isn't she so cute?

This is Jan now. Yes, she is a new mommy thanks to my son. Two days before she was to go to the vet and be spayed he let her slip out the door. I was in Carlisle at the time taking care of my mom. If I had been home this would have never happened! And now we have 5 brand new babies born Oct. 11th, 2005. All black. Three with stub tails and two with long tails. SOOOOOOO now we have to wait until the babies are weaned and on their own before we can take Jan. to be spayed. Just lovely. Oh! the babies are adorable!
Told hubby we really need to find a farm or a house out in the country. It's just so hard to find something affordable and in our range. Yes, I have been seriously looking. Hey if you have some country land you want to sell cheap that's perked and ready to go drop me a note. It has to be in PA. some where between Hanover and Scranton PA.. I'm serious if you can work with us please drop us a note. A fixer upper is workable also. Not a problem. I just don't want neighbors! Not out my window anyway. So here is Jan with the newest additions to the family. They do not have names. I ask ... how do you name 5 black kittens and know who is who when they all look alike? She is just so tired. That is why she looks so bad in the first photo. Five babies first litter. Shocked me. More like surprised me!

This is Phoenix . Now the last thing I needed was another cat. I know this, but I made a promise to my mom and I felt this need to honor that promise. My mom passed away in May 2005 from cancer as you know from the main page. While I was caring for her she had this major concern over her kitty "Phoenix". Mom loved her cat and her critters. She was feeding every wild animal in the neighborhood (smile). She couldn't get out much so her highlight was making sure all the wild critters had food. Mom had four bird feeders, peanuts for the squirrels, sunflower seeds, hummingbird food. The list goes on. Like I said, she was feeding all the wild critter's. She'd sit in her kitchen window and watch them for hours. It made her so excited when they'd show up. She had it down to an art knowing what time who and what would be showing up to eat.
A couple months prior to mom getting really ill she had called me. She was really upset with worry and concern over her buddy, her cat "Phoenix". I kept trying to reassure her that he would be fine. I'd make sure Phoenix was ok. Mom kept telling me, she wasn't asking me to take him. But she's worried about what will happen to him. I told her to calm down, relax and we'd cross that bridge when we got there. If it had to be, I'd take Phoenix. That caused her more concern because she knew I had all my babies. I told her this is all petty and we don't need to worry about this. Phoenix will be fine.
I loved taking care of Phoenix and helping dad with mom while I was there. Sure there were moments when I’d flip my lid, but they were not unjustified moments. Phoenix, bless his heart. He was in a state of confusion with people being there all the time. He’d try to get attention and everyone walked right past him. I took goodies down to him and I’d comb him and pay attention to him. This little guy (cat) just wasn’t understanding everything that was going on and all he wanted was a little time spent on him. I spoiled him.
Mom's biggest concern was that dad would put him to sleep when she was gone. I honestly didn't want to believe that would happen. I thought truthfully that dad would want the company. I talked to dad and told him to keep Phoenix, but if there's a problem call me and I would get him. I even told mom, dad and I have it worked out. Phoenix will be fine.
I was so wrong. I receive a phone call telling me if I didn't come get the cat he was having him put to sleep the following day. I paniced. I gave my word to mom! I have to keep my word. So off I went to Carlisle to get Phoenix. I sure didn't see that coming I'll tell you. Mom knew. Mom predicted it and I was blind to it. The cat was going to die when he did nothing wrong. He belonged to mom, and he was going to wipe him out. Mom can rest knowing her baby is safe, loved and he will live a long happy life until it’s time for him to go home with her.
So here is the newest addion to our home as of June ~2005~ I'd like to introduce you to "Phoenix"
The photo's of Phoenix in cupboard were taken only after the second day he was here with me. He had no problem making himself at home here (smile). The reason he is in the cupboard is because that is where I hide all the goodies for the kitty's. When he realized that's where they are hidden he was going to help himself to those goodies. The rest are Phoenix lounging and sleeping. I love having him. he's been the best kitty. I know mom is happy looking down knowing he's doing great!

The photo's below have the name of each kitty. There is a story behind three of them in that frame.
I guess I'll start with Lil' One. He was originally "Chopper" but he stayed little for so long I'd say things like, "come here Lil' One, Do you want this Lil' One?" etc. and he started to think it was his name. So we call him Lil' One, but he's not so little anymore.
How it came to be that Lil' One moved in. Mom thought she might want a companion for Phoenix so my sister found a kitten that had been roaming around her house to give to mom. After my sister went through so much trouble trying to get this kitten, mom changed her mind. Now my sister has a cat she don't know what to do with.
I told her no a dozen times I can't take it because Paul will go through the roof. I put her off for days. I stuck to it. No! Man I was doing so good too until she said those magic words .... S.P.C.A. or she'd have to put him back outside. Oh no!
I went back on what I said the other day. Sunday (June, 20, 2004) night I drove to Williamsport and brought home a kitty. He's the cutest little thing. Named him chopper. He has a attitude and isn't afraid of any of the big ones. Actually it's reversed. They are afraid of him (smile). He's just a baby but a mouthy baby and they don't know what to make of him. He's a little thing but full of energy. I know I said I wasn't going to do it, but I changed my mind and went after him. I don't know .... it's those letter SPCA that get to me I guess. I don't think any animal should be caged or risk a chance of being put down just because they didn't have a home. I wasn't going chance this baby going to the SPCA. My sister was running out of opitions, she ask everyone she could think of. So I drove 80 miles one way and I adopted him and brought him home.
He rode home really good. Liked the ride it seems. Rode on the back of the seat watching out the window. I stopped at McDonald's and got him a hamburger to eat. Boy did he ever like that. Ate almost 1/2 of it. Gave him little milkshake to wash down. Then he jumped down on the back seat and went to sleep the rest of the way home. He's a sweetie and I don't regret mychoice. He fits in perfectally to us. Just pitch black so when we first got him I had leave the kitchen light on low so the guys can see him when they get up for work inthe middle of the night because he was so small.
He's grown into a handsome guy let me tell you. Still has an attitude towards everyone but me. He's the coolest when it comes to playing. He loves to throw his toys around and chase them. He takes his little ball with the bell inside to the top of the steps, drops it and lets it bounce down the stairs. He does this over and over until he gets tired. Naw! no regrets. He's a sweetie.
Next is Solomon: Sully is what we call him. Sully has been with us three years this month Oct. 2005.
Sully came to live with us unplanned also. There was a elderly lady who lived across the street from us. We knew her name, we'd see her from time to time, but we never really talked to her. It seems though she was aware of what was happening across the street from her house. She was 93 years old and she didn't miss anything.
She took ill and was placed in a nursing home. She was so worried about her kitty. She talked to Cindy and Wanda about it. She ask them to talk to the nice girl across the street who has all the cats. She'd see all my cats sitting at the front door or in the windows so she knew I liked cats.
Cindy did come and talk to me about it. I told her, I didn't even know she had a cat. I never saw it. Paul was standing here when Cindy ask me. And there were those words again!!!! AAAAAAAWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEE! If you can't or don't want to it's not a problem. Wanda and/or I will take him to the S.P.C.A. and have him put down. I AM SUCH A SUCKER! I said, let me meet him first. We'll go from there. So she took me over to the lady's house to meet Sully.
Oh my he was the prettiest blue gray cat I've seen ever. He was a little shy and didn't really want to be bothered. We hung around for a little while and he started to warm up to me.
I told Cindy, I'd take him to the house and watch him until she came home. We'll see how it goes. I scooped this big boy up and headed across the street to the house. Well long story short. His mommy passed away in Nov.. No one ask about Sully, mentioned Sully, came back for Sully .... so Sully became a permanent resident that year.
Then there's Buddy .... Buddy .... what a handsome guy he is. My sons were working on their cars in the garage one day. It was a cold day too. They had a small little heater going while they worked down there. Joseph noticed there was a cat sleeping on the back seat on my car that was stored in the garage. He comes running to the house yelling MOMMY .... look what I found. Now this was not a wild cat beecause he didn't mind being held. He purred endlessly. He was just a gentle loving kitty. Surely he has to belong to someone.
I told Joey we'll have to try and find his owner. I posted flyers around town and in the stores locally. I told Joey he can't come in the house. You can put him in the garage, take food down to him and water. But he's not coming in the house! Sorry dude but there are too many and we just can't do it. Joey took him back to the garage. Came to the house got food and water for him.
The next morning we get up. I hear this cat crying, but I don't recognize the cry. Yes, odd as it might sound I do know each ones cry. Each has a different tone. But this one I didn't know. I ran around this house trying to find where it was coming from. I thought for sure one of my babies got stuck some where or they were locked ina room some where. I looked and looked, but found nothing.
Well Buddy had different plans. He was coming in whether I wanted him here or not. I opened the basement door and in comes this cat like he belonged here. All my guys seemed ok with this strange. heck they all acted like it was a long lost brother of theirs. Buddy struts in like he owned this house. Walks right over to the love seat, jumps up and lays down next to "HUBBY" (ha ha ha).I told Paul just let him warm up and we'll take him back down. This kitty was zonked out. He fell asleep on that sofa and slept until night time and the only reason he woke up was because I was feeding everyone.
He was so gentle and friendly to everyone. He had to belong to someone. UNLESS someone dumped him off out here on purpose? I finally said, ok we'll leave him in the house until someone comes to claim him. Well knowone ever did come to claim him. His name is buddy because we didn't know his name. He had to have a name! he was to large to not of been named by someone. I just called him buddy because I didn't know what else to call him. Well the name stuck and now he thinks his name is Buddy and that's what he answers to. He never did go back to the garage.

All all the other babies ... Spitfire is the mommy of. And there you have it the story of all my babies!
