Since the dawn of humanity on this earth nothing has changed much. Over the years human beings have just aquired new technology and learned how to aquire more and more creature comforts around himself....But the inner soul, the atma remains poor. It has failed drastically in balancing his two sides - material and spritual. The most beautiful creation of God has turned into a franklinstine monster. He is proud of his nuclear bombs and cruelties. His past is STAINED....present is MADNESS....and future is DOOMED. A view on some recent events... The last few weeks have been a devastating time for many and indeed it is a realistic fear that the situation could get worse.
Firstly I would like to acknowledge and send my thoughts, love and healing to all people who are suffering the hurts, sadness and trauma from recent events.
Im sure most of us could write endless pages on how we feel about many world events and all would be different...and all valid. I would like to share some thoughts that I know some people and myself have.
For thousands of years many cultures have fought and been in conflict over many things such as religion, government, freedom, money, the list goes on.... What saddens me is fighting and killing each other causes decades of hurts and poverty and yet still many of the things mankind has fought over are still unresolved and the need unsatisfied. This raises some questions in many people's minds and hearts.
I know I have agonized along with half the world in recent weeks as to the "whys" and "what if's"and the big question. "What can we do?" Most individuals are not in any position to have a large effect on this...But please don't think that there is nothing you can do, I believe there is a great deal that an be done with a bit of love and compassion.
Since these horrific events took place in New York it has been incredible to see the different reactions that there have been in even the people I know. It has been truly amazing to see people who never before have acknowledged each other who are now standing side by side praying and doing what they can to send their love, thoughts and healing. When people come together with love and peace in their hearts and stand united and send love and prayers to others it is truly a beautiful and powerful thing.
If it is happening in a small country like New Zealand (where I live) then I can hope that this is also occurring in other countries too.
In many cases the people here have gotten together because often one person has decided to take the initiative to do what they can; in this others join and it creates a kind of snowball effect and the groups of people grow and grow. Not only is it helpful to you the participant but also to all others involved and the recipient/s also.
Why not try?
What do you have to lose?
I believe we only have to gain from giving a little unconditional love and compassion.
What I'm really trying to say is; if you make a small effort then maybe, just maybe, we can hope your neighbor might see this and join, then his neighbor and so on and on. Is there a limit on love?
I don't think so.
There is no limit to what could be achieved within a street, suburb, town, city...
You know the rest I think.
