It is agreed that effective January 1, 2001, Engineers desiring to displace a junior engineer may do so by making a written request to the BLE Local Chairman and Crew Management to have his assignment advertised, state the job he wishes to go on and will work his assignment during the bulletin period. Engineers making such a displacement will not be allowed to exercise this option again for a period of 6 months. Also, engineers making such a displacement or other affected engineers will not be paid deadhead payments as a result of such a seniority move. Not more than one assignment may be under bulletin at any time using this agreement. In the event two or more requests are made at the same time, the senior engineer's request will be allowed first.
