Gentlemen:

 It has been proposed by your organization that a temporary local agreement be adopted to cover use of an NO&NE engineer on an AGS road local based in Meridian, MS, presently designated train no. A58A7. Below is a copy of the proposal.

"In the event no bids are received from an AGS engineer for that assignment, it will be readvertised for a period of 6 days and bids will be accepted from N.O.N.E. District engineers. If no bids are received for that advertisement, it will be filled by an AGS engineer in accordance with Article 26-B-7 (b).

If the assignment is filled by a N.O.N.E. engineer:

1.     That engineer shall not establish seniority on the AGS District.

2.     All temporary vacancies will be filled by AGS District engineers.

3.     At any time, with 6 days written notice to crew management, an AGS engineer,     
        including a demoted engineer, may make a permanent displacement to that
  assignment."

I agree to this proposal with the provision that the agreement may be canceled by any of the signatory parties with 30 days written notice to the other two (2), at any time, for any reason. If you concur, sign your copy of this letter below and return it to me. If all parties are in agreement, I will return to you the signed copies for your files.
