You should consult with an attorney who is familiar with railroad law, railroad rules, railroad equipment and the railroad claims process. Failure to work with an attorney who is familiar with the railroad, can result in no recovery or less than satisfactory recovery. The railroad has plenty of claim agents and utilizes lawyers who are experienced in representing the railroad. You put yourself at a disadvantage by trying to go it on your own or choosing an attorney who is not regularly working on FELA claims.
