Goode is Scheduled to make a trip on the KCS out of Meridian in September.  That is if the KCS can avoid another derailment like the one that caused this trip to be cancelled in July.  It is reported that this excursion has nothing to do with any rumored KCS purchase by NS.  We are still some 5 billion in debt because of Conrail and in no position to buy another railroad.  One good point of all that debt is that it also makes the purchase of NS by another railroad virtually impossible.  The purpose of the KCS excursion is to check out possible Mexican rail business for NS.
