Go to top

I've put the comment feature back into the news script. Hopefully it will work well, but if you experience some problems or abnormalties, please let me know about it.

You will now have to sign up in order to post a comment to the newsposts. If you have already registered, you'll use the same username and password as before. You can register and recover lost password from the links below the comments-form.

I've also changed the order the comments will be displayed in. First comments are always on top, while new ones will follow in order.

You can use simple UBB code for formating: b=bold, i=italics and quote=puts the text inside the tags as a quote. The syntax is as follows:

[b/i/quote] = start formating

[/b/i/quote] = end formating

All the text between these tags will be formated according to the style you choose...

Hi!!
The comments are working again!!
Yupiii!!
One question warlock
It´s normal the grey background of the page? On the rigth side there is only a grey space and it doesn´t look very well, I think it would be better black or red.
What do you think Warlock?

I don't know...I kind of like the grey color to the right. It makes the page much brighter and the content part doesn't stand that much out from the rest of the site this way :-)

Here is a sample on how it looks with a black background: http://www.blade-universe.com/test.shtml

I would like to hear others opinion on this as well and if no one like the grey part to the right, I might change it...

That black part at the very end of the page looks weird...I have annoyed myself over it for the last days, but havn't had the time to do anything about it yet (I've had more important stuff on my priority-list of things to do with BU).

I'll do this later today...

I've given the grey color to the right some thoughts and have decided that it will most likely stay. It has its purpose...

Try to read the 'About'-section in the test.shtml file and the normal one. After reading for a little while, you should have more problems consentrate while reading the one with a black background because your eyes has no "restpoint" beyond your focus. With the grey and brighter background, your eyes are more rested as the view beyond your focus has a similar light intensity as the background of the text you're reading. But still, it is a bit darker than the background of the text you're reading right now. This is to make your eyes automatically grab focus on the content page, where it's supposed to be, and not be confusing.

It results in a more relaxed reading and an easier overview. But, as I've said, I'd be glad to hear your opinions on this...

And, to repeat, that black stuff at the end of the page must die...
