We've all been scared at night
when we were kids. This was a rainy night with lightning and thunder.
Max couldn't get any sleep so he went into the safety of his parents'
room. With the backlight behind him, he looks like some spikey
demon as his shadow is cast on the floor. Frink wakes up to this
sight, blurred and all since his glasses are off and becomes scared
himself until he realizes what is going on. The time is 3:17 A.M.
I like this drawing a lot. It's
very dark and I'm happy with how the shadowing turned out on the
sheets. I was experimenting with different layers to get the light
and shadow effect and I think it worked out well.
