Prof. John Frink

Profile

Anyone who's a fan of the Simpons knows who this man is. He's had many appearances on the Simpsons as a supporting character and has created a myriad of inventions. He's clumsy though and doesn't always make sure his calculations are correct. This causes all kinds of trouble for himself and others. In Innocences Lost Frink starts out the same way, but with Owen always on his back Frink has deal with the darker side of life. Frink suffers greatly at the hands of his rival not realizing that it is alright to fight back. Frink is the main character of the story and is married to Caroline and has a son named Maximillian. Frink loves his wife and son more than anything else in the world. He's at last found happiness and to escape and forget his failures. He's very close to Max and takes time everyday to talk with him and play with him. Unlike the Simpsons, the Frinks are a very functional family. They are not ashamed of each other and love each other openly. They are open and honest and talk out their problems. Many of the inventions and events on the show have been incorporated into this story.

Author's Comments

Professor Frink is my favorite character on the show. The bad thing about characters I like are that I enjoy watching them get hurt and suffer. I don't mean hurt like explosions on the show, I mean real pain. Read the story and you shall see. I know many of you will not like that, but I believe that this makes characters more realiztic and...well builds character. As I said on the main page you can't have a good story without something at stake, without having something to lose. Yes I put Frink through a lot, and I do things that most writers are afraid to do or would never even conceive of doing. This is what makes for a good story. As the story progresses he strays further and further way from the comic character he is on the Simpsons and that is what I really had fun doing. The picutre above is the original version that can be found on my Road Rage site. It's one of my earlier drawings of Frink and I was still learning how to draw him properly.

Frink is a lot of fun to work with. I enjoy writing, but I really enjoy drawing him more. My favorite things about him are his hair and his lab coat. I can place them in any possition I want to convey his mood and that is really fun.
