This is the scene where Frink flies to
the Labs after getting the phone call about Caroline's murder.
He hops on his hover bike and flies to there through the cold
night rain.
This is one of my raw pencil drawings
and the only picutre in this story that's defeated me so far.
What do you mean defeated you say? Well, it's unfinished and will
always remain that way. I got so frustrated with this stupid drawing
for many reasons. First, I am not good at drawing cars so drawing
the police cars and the ambulance from an over head view just
kinda blew my mind. Next is the background. It's supposed to be
Springfield in the distance below in the upper left. The new observatory
is on a hill outside the city. Well I don't know how to draw a
city from that view point either. In my mind I see this picture
completed and in color and it's a breath taking sight, but I just
can't for the life of my reproduce it on paper. I've been pushing
my drawing abilities to the limit working on this site and I've
only recently experience a major improvment. I tend to draw in
the same style for months and out of nowhere suddenly become better.
This JUST happened and despite becoming better I think that I'm
still tackling something that's outside my level with this piece.
Perhaps in the next phase I go through I'll be good enough to
finish this one. But what I DO have isn't bad. Enjoy. Feb, 7 2003.
