Shao Kahn



Shao Kahn was the son of the elder god, Shinnok. Shao Kahn's brother was Raiden. The two brothers had to fight to death to see who would become the next elder god. Raiden won, but he wouldn't kill his brother, so he became the thunder god. Shao Kahn wanted power, so he set his sights on the realm of Edenia. Shao Kahn wanted to become ruler of Edenia so he attempted to overthrow the king of Edenia, King Jerrod. He convinced people to join him by saying they would never have to eat, drink, or sleep again. He used his sorcery to expand his aura around all who would follow him. A civil war spread through Edenia almost completely leaving it destroyed. By the end of the war almost no life was left and Edenia became know as Outworld. Shao Kahn stormed into King Jerrod’s palace, killed him, took his wife as Queen (Sindel), took one of his daughters as his daughter (Kitana), and couldn’t figure out where the other went (Jade), so he made an evil clone (Melinna) of the first daughter. Shao Kahn became power hungry for more place to rule so Mortal Kombat was made by the Elder Gods to keep him in Outworld. Shao Kahn enlisted the help of a fallen Shaolin monk, Shang Tsung to win the tournement and Shang Tsung came came close several times. Shao Kahn found a loop hole that allowed him to invade Earth, but he couldn’t conquer it. Later he was suppossedly killed by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.
