Scorpion
Scorpion was a ninja in the clan of the Shirai Ryu. The Shirai Ryu was founded by a man named Takeda. Takeda was a former Lin Kuei member. Takeda had all of the Shirai Ryu members dress in yellow to mock the Lin Kuei. The Lin Kuei and the Shirai Ryu became instant enemies. Scorpion was sent on a mission to steal the sacred map of the elements, which would help the Shirai Ryu destroy the Lin Kuei. The Lin Kuei sent out Sub-Zero to stop Scorpion. Sub-Zero had to kill Scorpion and Scorpion was condemned to the Netherrealm. Scorpion escaped and found out that Sub-Zero had killed all of the Shirai Ryu and Scorpion’s family. Scorpion found out Sub-Zero was participating in the Mortal Kombat tournament in an attempt to assassinate Shang Tsung, so Scorpion entered the tournament. Scorpion then killed Sub-Zero in battle. Later, Scorpion found out Sub-Zero was somehow back. He went to kill Sub-Zero, but he watched him spare his opponent's life in combat and he knew it could not be Sub-Zero. When he found out that that Sub-Zero was the original Sub-Zero’s younger brother he decided to protect this new Sub-Zero as penance for killing his brother. Then Scorpion found out that Sub-Zero didn’t kill all of the Shirai Ryu and Scorpion’s family, Quan Chi did. Now Scorpion hates Quan Chi and wants to kill him.
