Quan Chi



Quan Chi is a sorcerer. Quan Chi was in the service of Shinnok for a long time. During his service of Shinnok, Quan Chi had some problems with Sub-Zero. Quan Chi then murdered Scorpion’s clan and his family and provided him a way out of the Netherrealm. He told Scorpion Sub-Zero had returned and killed Scorpion’s clan and family. Scorpion watched Sub-Zero fight and spare his opponent’s life. Scorpion knew this couldn’t be Sub-Zero and uncovered the truth that Quan Chi was the murderer. Scorpion plotted revenge against Quan Chi and Quan Chi figured it would be best to unveil his master plan before Scorpion got to him. He had Baraka steal Shinnok’s amulet, which was the source of all of his power. Baraka tried to turn on Quan Chi and Quan Chi killed him. Quan Chi then killed Shinnok. Scorpion came after Quan Chi and Quan Chi opened a portal to send Scorpion back to the Netherrealm. Scorpion tackled Quan Chi ad they both were sent into the Netherrealm. Quan Chi’s amulet was useless in the Netherrealm and Scorpion hunted him. Quan Chi enlisted the help of two oni, Moloch and Drahmin. He used them as bodyguards from Scorpion in exchange for him taking them with him when he found a way out. Quan Chi discovered an ancient runestone that had the markings of his amulet. It told of many things like the forgotten Dragon King and an ancient network of gateways connecting all of the realms. He left the oni behind and went through a gateway taking him to an ancient tomb in Outworld. It was the tomb of the mummified remains of the Dragon King’s lost army. Inscriptions on the tomb told him the army was invincible and they could be revived. Quan Chi sought out Shang Tsung and proposed an alliance with him. He proposed that Shang Tsung use his mastery of the art of soul stealing to revive the army in exchange the limitless souls the amulet could unlock from the heavens. Quan Chi and Shang Tsung went to Shao Kahn and overthrew him. Then they found Liu Kang and ambushed him. Quan Chi distracted him and Shang Tsung broke his neck.
