Kitana
Kitana is the daughter of the former rulers of Edenia, King Jerrod and Queen Sindel. She is the rightful ruler of what is now Outworld. About 10,000 years ago Shao Kahn showed up in Edenia. Bringing promises of paradise he started a bloody civil war in Edenia. Shao Kahn troops stormed the palace and Shao Kahn killed King Jerrod. He took Sindel as his queen and the infant Kitana as his daughter. He created an evil clone of her and named her Mileena. Kitana grew up over the years believing Shao Kahn was her god and she was his loyal servant. Certain events made her realize that Shao Kahn didn’t care about her or anyone else, all he cared about was his own entertainment. When events turned bad for Shao Kahn in his invasion of Earthrealm Kitana rebelled against him along with several of his other key people. One of those was Goro and he formed an army of Shokans that Kitana’s forces joined up with. They along with Earthrealm’s forces kept Shao Kahn at bay for several years and enjoyed a relative peace during that time. Kitana was even able to reclaim part of Outworld as Edenia. Then Goro was killed in battle, which led to a power struggle in the Shokan army. Followed by the newly formed deadly alliance overthrow of Shao Kahn. Followed up by them killing Liu Kang and their attempts at reviving the Dragon King’s army.
