Kano
Kano was a member of the Black Dragon. The Black Dragon was gang created to mock the Red Dragon. The Red Dragon is a centuries old crime syndicate. The Red Dragon hated the Black Dragon so they secretly sent various members to infiltrate various factions so they could destroy the Black Dragon. Kano is all that is left of the Black Dragon. Kano killed Special Forces agent Sonya Blade’s partner when he tried to apprehend him, so Sonya Blade is Kano’s mortal enemy. At one point his eye was injured and he had to have it artificially replaced with a laser. During Shao Kahn’s invasion of Earthrealm Kano fought Sonya and lost. Before Sonya could kill Kano they were both captured by Shao Kahn and imprisoned. Later Kano earned Shao Kahn’s respect when he saved Shao Kahn’s life by foiling an assassination attempt by Sheeva. Shao Kahn promoted him to General. After the invasion failed and Shao Kahn’s forces were pushed farther into Outworld by Earthrealm’s forces and a rebel army led by Kitana Kano could see Shao Kahn’s power was fading. Kano saw Shang Tsung and Quan Chi go into Shao Kahn’s throne room and attack Shao Kahn. He decided to hide in the shadows and see who would win. After Shao Kahn’s defeat, Kano pledged his allegiance to the newly formed deadly alliance.
