Goro
Goro was the Shokan prince. The Shokan could best be described as half human, half dragon four armed beasts that weigh close to a ton and stand like eight feet tall. Goro was first enlisted into Shao Kahn’s services by Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung had just lost Mortal Kombat to Kung Lao which cost Shao Kahn a chance to invade Earthrealm. Shang Tsung enlisted Goro’s help to make sure that didn’t happen again. When it came time for the next Mortal Kombat Goro easily defeated and killed Kung Lao to become the new champion. Goro and his people enjoyed the good life for next several hundred years as Goro dominated in each Mortal Kombat tournament. The Goro was defeated by Liu Kang and Goro and his people slowly fell out of favor with Shao Kahn. The final straw came in the form of Shao Kahn’s alliance with the Shokan’s most hated enemies, the Centaurs. Soon, the Shokan’s rebelled against Shao Kahn. Luckily their revolt coincided with Earthrealm’s forces and Kitana’s forces revolts. Things went well for Goro and the Shokans for several years until he was killed in combat. The Shokans then fought over who would lead and a power struggle occurred.
