Baraka
Baraka is one of what was the people of Edenia. The war that Shao Kahn brought upon the realm of Edenia brought forth a nuclear fallout that turned Edenia into Outworld. The survivors of the war were horrible disfigured and mutated. What once looked human now had yellow skin, sunken in faces with red eyes, no hair, and cold stiff flesh that allowed them the ability to graft foreign objects on to their bodies easier than a human. Baraka himself had undergone surgery to have his teeth plated with sharpened metal and to have retractable blades grafted onto his forearms. Baraka was a member of the mutant tribe called the Black Moon. Shao Kahn had ordered his extermination squads to eliminate the mutants and a squad led by Kitana was sent to kill all of the Black Moon. The Black Moon fought vigorously, but they were badly outnumbered and soon all that was left was the women and children and Baraka. Baraka told the squad that he would pledge his allegiance to Shao Kahn. Kitana didn’t know if he could be trusted, so she told him that if he killed the remaining members of the Black Moon, they would let him join them. Baraka loved to kill, so he did. Baraka became a great general in Shao Kahn’s army and even had a love affair with Kitana’s cloned sister, Mileena. When Shinnok tried to take power, Baraka was sent by Quan Chi to steal Shinnok’s amulet. Baraka tried to use the amulet to kill Quan Chi and take power, but Quan Chi killed him.
