TRIUMPH

Never be one who despises thyself
But rather hold thyself in high esteem,
As I hold thee, so far above myself;
Remove thy basket, and lot thy light gleam.
Do not fear that thou mayest become less
Than thou shouldst, or make of thy potential
A life unfulfilled; strive for excellence!
Work hard for brave goals and eventual
Glory. We who love thee are beside thee,
If only in spirit, hoping conquest
Over diversity thou wilt soon see
And never suffer a denied request.
But for all that love and concern affords,
No success can be without thy efforts.
