Master of words entertaining the king;
Though gentle and soft-spoken, yet employs
His passion to show his art. Still, he'll bring
Only that which is needful, bringing joys
More deep than any thought to feel of him.
And though his talent and rank him acclaim
still the common touch fills his cup's rim.
Of peers, a most worthy goal is his aim:
For each to feel his own worth and power.
Teaching his art by class and example
Empowers ever more by the hour.
New poets he makes -- I am a sample.
Bringing to all his poetry and voice
Yet noble humility his grandest choice.
