THE SABLE BARON

All clad in black, with his halberd in hand,
On the tournament field of Lyonesse,
Does the Baron of Bryn Gwlad bravely stand,
To vanquish or perish and nothing less.
As a duelist far more widely known,
For his wiley wordcraft his counsel sought,
His artistic light is but seldom shone,
Though legend tells not of his battles fought.
But battle he does, right valorous, too,
With courage and spirit attacks his foe.
The list of his victims may be but few,
The honor he gains thus does ever grow.
For the outcome mattters little at best,
But that he stand, ready to face the test.
