Yin Baguazhang
Yin Fu was Dong’s first student and the one to whom he taught the complete system. They traveled together for almost ten years while Dong was employed as a tax collector for Prince Su in his domain in Inner Mongolia. It was while they were in Mongolia that Dong began teaching Baguaquan to Yin Fu. When they returned from Inner Mongolia, Yin began to take his own disciples. Around this time, Yin became one of the palace bodyguards and wushu instructors. He also continued his vocation as a tax collector, which he began while traveling as Dong’s assistant. In 1900, Yin became the head bodyguard of the Empress Dowager and the Guang Xu emperor when they were taken out of the city during the Boxer Rebellion. When they returned, Yin continued in the employ of the royal palace. When he retired, he was succeeded in his position by Gong Baotian, one of his more accomplished disciples.
