Introduction
Baguazhang (pronounced "ba-gwa-shang") is condsidered to be one of the three branches of th neijia (internal family or system) of Chinese wushu. The other two internal martial arts are Taijiquan (T'ai Chi Ch'uan) and Xingyiquan (Hsing-Yi).
Baguazhang's name was derived from the Yijing (Book of Changes), that is some 3,000 years old, yet is ancient wisdom is timeless. It became so influencial that is has become a rich source for both Confucian and Daoist philosophy.
