BackPay Pictures is: Carl Lawrence Paoli - Director/Cinematographer Nicholas Copeland - Writer/Producer Eddie Fernandez - Stunt Coordinator/Producer BackPay Pictures is native to Chicago's renowned Gold Coast and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, providing some of Chicago's most beautiful property and architecture as their backyard movie lot. Carl has over 15 years experience in Feature Film as a stuntman, stunt rigger, stunt coordinator and has assisted in second-unit direction and production. In the summer of 1999 Carl landed the role of stalker-killer 'Death Mask', in the ARTISAN FILMS release SOUL SURVIVORS-starring Wes Bentley, released September 7, 2001. In the summer of 2001 Carl completed work on JURASSIC PARK III, shot on location in Hawaii and Los Angeles, and most recently completed work on MINORITY REPORT -starring Tom Cruise, also shot in Los Angeles. Carl also routinely stunt-coordinates episodes of 'OZ' shot on location in New York. Nicholas began writing in 1994 after surviving a year-long bout with a cancerous brain tumor, and has been writing and producing independent films for the past several years. Currently, Nicholas is soliciting BackPay Picture's current project COTTON MOUTH, a feature length dark humor/drama. The 56-minute film was shot in Chicago and on location. Nicholas also recently completed a 'spec' script for a producer from Los Angeles, who intends to develop a series based on the script. Nicholas is currently drafting the script for BackPay Pictures' third film, and is soliciting producers in Los Angeles. Eddie has over 19 years experience in Feature Film as a stuntman, stunt rigger, and stunt coordinator and has assisted in second-unit direction and production. In the summer of 1999 Eddie worked regularly on the television series EARLY EDITION. In the summer of 2000 through 2001, Eddie worked on upcoming blockbusters such as, WIND TALKERS, starring Nicolas Cage, doubling actor Adam Beach who portrayed the "code talker" assigned to Nicolas Cage in the film. Eddie recently completed work on MINORITY REPORT -starring Tom Cruise, WE WERE SODIERS -starring Mel Gibson, (directed by Randall Wallace) and HIGH CRIMES -starring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. Most recently Eddie stunt-coordinated and assisted second-unit direction of a comedy directed by –Martha Cotton entitled ALIAS: IMPOSSIBLE. BackPay Pictures three-man do it ALL production team completed their first DV-Film in October 1999 entitled WICKER PARK. The film was shot in Chicago using entirely available light and sound. The film is absolutely beautiful visually and captures the viewer from the film's opening -to the last of the end credits. The film made its screen debut April 5th 2000, at the Chicago Landmark Vic Theater, during a Chicago Community Cinema event. The film received rave local reviews and was well received by the audience in attendance.
