The following script mentions only the original gods, but be assured that many more gods have found Skarat and are now letting their prescence known. For a full list of gods and religions in the Land of Garam please refer to the Gods and Religions script.
When the world of Skarat was first being made by the gods there was a titanic battle being waged amongst the gods. For a long time the gods mentioned here and others battled for control of this world. After a long waged battle which exerted all the gods, Jor banished Cagus the god of Misconceptions far below the surface forever, but not before Cagus managed to create two things: one a gateway to a dimension not even the gods themselves can enter where evil beings were able to enter into Skarat and onto Garam, but it was shut by Jor. Two; a race so evil and devious that they outmatched all the races of in the land of Garam in evilness and cruelness; Greenskins. After the banishing of Cagus the gods (good and evil alike.) decided to populate the world they had created with races that resembled themselves but for what reason only the gods themselves know. They also made a special blood for all their races making this breed, special, for reasons unknown. These "hybrids" as they are known, are the finest of their races but they have been forgotten in the centuries (not to mention very rare) and some of the hybrids themselves don't even know what they are, though they know they are special in some way. Jor the Righteous One made Elves to signify all that was good and just in the world. As mentioned before Cagus created the Greenskins to show that the world would never be perfect and to show the other gods they would never be truly rid of him. Lorol a young, quiet, and innocent god created humans, while Farak a loud and boisterous god created Dwarves which mimic him in every respect. Sachsa picked a race that would protect her forests with honor, respect and bravery, created Centaurs. Rauz A very ill-tempered god as well as arrogant created a race that believed they were above all the others races they are now known as Minotaurs. Tark' a strong, ugly and disliked, god created Giants to carry his burden of unwantedness and abandonment. The vengeful, cunning, gluttinis and follower of Cagus, Recfoa planned to make a very evil race but even gods make mistakes and this race was not entirly evil and is now known as Dragons.
It was about 80 in the year of Jor when a new god found Skarat and began letting his prescence known to the races of Garam and since then more gods have come, and there is still more to come.
Now in the year 560 of our holy Jor, evil has ruptured throughout the land. The Elves were the first to be attacked and though the people in the land of Garam have never fought anything evil there has been many wars. Some between races other between themselves, though none have compared to this one war. The war against evil itself. For Cagus has somehow been released and is now creating hordes of evil creatures and sending them forth against Garam. After the assassanation of the King, Axton Brandt the Kings personal bodygaurd, was protecting the king as two assassins appeared in and out of the shadows circling them. Suddenly three daggers flew at the King Axton jumped in front of them and was hit by all three but as he fell the ground and lay unconcious the assassins killed the King and fled. He was revived by many healers and on that day he began organizing the people in the land to fight the evil and the numbers grew with each day but suddenly more, more and more armies were attacking them and 3 strongholds in the north fell within a week. The Knights of Jor's stronghold, Jor Keep, almost fell but after a bitter siege the defenders pushed the invaders back and had to develop a trade route back to civilization but every caravan they sent back south was cut off by giants and others. Soon the Knights began a tunnel which now leads to the second biggest stronghold The Stronghold of Jor. Jor Keep is still surrounded in the wilderlands by many monsters. They have to keep recruiting new warriors each day to survive. Axton Brandt has order civil warrior status for the land of Garam meaning anyone and everyone is to be prepared for battle.
