Tournaments are a great thing for showing one's skill. That's why I created this section. Here you'll get news about current tournaments and interesting changes in the online battles at AT-Robots headquarter. New (good) bots will be discussed in my tutorials section and if they have ruled I will explain their working in the Great Bots-Section.
Currently there's a combat running, look to http://atrcombat.topcities.com for more information. The tournament is runned by Calash and the deadline is 29. Jun 2001
CatchMe got into the FastCPU-Top5. This bot was written by Hendrix Dunaszegi, who discovered a gap in the actually top5 ranked bots. Exept FastDark every bot in this class actually was designed for the standard class. It means concretely that the target prediction of these standard class bots suck in FastCpu games and CatchMe is moving so fast that it doesn't get hit. The bots can lock it, but due to changed time slice for each bot the target prediction doesn't work properly. Beside that, CatchMe only fires spread shoots. It seems like this Hendrix Dunaszegi wrote a C-Compiler for AT-Robots. I hope, one day, I'll be able to chat with this guy.
Sometimes I take every bot that lies around and put it into a huge tournament. If you don't have the time for such experiments (my last mass tournaments took 2 days, 10 rounds per match and about 273 bots...), then just look here at the results of my mass tournaments and download the log files (uncompressed they are about 5 mbyte, but compressed only 500 kbyte, wow).
