Issue 10: I should really have left this issue like Beethoven’s un-finished. I had some leftover articles, and some drawings and cartoons. Thankfully, I never had any deadlines to make, so I used up everything I had left to finish it. I ripped off the official program for almost 13 pages, but I must admit, it was the championship-winning list of reports and some winning pictures. The rest of the fanzine is filled with the usual ‘wthc’ stuff. At this point, I really couldn’t have been bothered looking at another fanzine or editorial. I, like everyone else had simply given up. The team fortunes were dwindling mainly due to lack of funds and overpricing at the turnstiles. My every game, die-hard united attitude dwindled and died, along with the fortunes of ‘wthc’. Crowds have continued to deteriorate, and football has suffered. I’ve been back to tannadice only a handful of times since the demise of the fanzine, and although the teams fortunes have improved of late, I have the optimistic feeling that more changes will be made at Tannadice just shortly.

I think the last issue hit the shelf’s, in the summer of 1994. Probably justice enough that they beat Rangers in the cup final later that year to end their Hampden hoodoo.

For anyone who is interested in a compilation of the 10 issues, and can afford to re-mortgage their home without their wife finding out, I’d be willing to put together something in hard copy if there was enough interest. Contact me at whenthehoodoocomes@yahoo.co.uk
