Detailed Description:

Pictus cats are among the world's most popular aquarium catfish. They are quite attractive with silver bodies and block spots. Their whiskers will be quite long, either silver or white. The fins may or may not have black tips.
A smooth gravel surface should be provided due to this catfish's very sensitive whiskers. It uses these whiskers to locate food. Damage to the whiskers could prove fatal due to starvation. While the water should be slightly acidic, other conditions such as clearness aren't overly important. In the wild they are known for living in murky conditions. Don't stress these fish, they can easily be frightened and sent into a frenzy. Decorations should stay towards the outsides of the aquarium with the center left open for swimming. Nocturnal behaviors are common for this fish. Subdued lights are best however this fish will adjust to regular lighting conditions. Keep them with larger gentle and semi-aggressive fish. Smaller fish should not be trusted with these guys.

Feed Carnivorous foods. Worms are most appreciated. Do not overfeed, Pictus cats will gorge themselves.
