White Clouds
are very hardy fish that are capable of much colder temperatures.
They can be used in place of a Betta if Bettas bore you. Two
White Clouds can be kept in one 5 gallon aquarium, be warned
though, bigger is always better. The body of White Cloud is
silver or bronze. There will be a dark stripe horizontally
centered on the body. The dorsal and caudal fins will be red.
The anal fin can be brown, tan, or red. All fins may have a
white outline. The body is thin and long.
The environment should be cooler in temperature than typical
tropical aquariums. This fish is capable of withstanding temperatures
as low as 40 degrees and up to 76 degrees. They are very hardy
and can withstand various water conditions as well. Their pH
should be as close to neutral as possible. Keep them in schools
of 6 or more for maximum health. They are social with other
fish similar in size, especially other Danio species.
Feed typical tropical foods. Wild foods include zooplankton
and detritus. Small insect larvae or frozen foods like bloodworm
and brine are best.
Sexing and breeding are not known.
