Detailed Description:

The Pearl Danio is one of the common aquarium Danios. The body is beautiful. The base will usually be white or pink with a light blue or purple line from base of tail to the gills. The head will usually be darker. The base of the body may be red. The anal fins will be white. Caudal fin will be orange or red with blue hilights. Pectorals are transparent. Overall, this fish will have a "pearl" iridescence.

As with other Danios, keep these in groups of 6 or more. They socialize well with other Danios and other small fish. Do not keep with large fish. While generally passive, these fish may nip at much slower fish. The water should be clear and clean. Strong filtration and bi-weekly water changes are recommended. pH should be neutral or as close as possible.

Feed any typical fish foods. Natural foods include zooplankton and insects. Tiny crickets, small worms, and tiny live foods will be relished.

Breeding and sexing are not known.
