Detailed Description:

The Zamora catfish is a nice species that is often available in the hobby. The body will be muddy gray or brown. The anal and caudal fins may have dark (sometimes black) tips. The most characteristic feature is the wide, flat head. These catfish do not have whiskers.
Keep these fish in groups of about 3. Provide each specimen with enough space to hide. They are nocturnal and will hide during the day. Rocky areas, driftwood, and plants should all be used to give them good hiding places. They like a somewhat aggressive current. The water should be neutral in pH with no extremes in water conditions. Do not keep with aggressive fish or much smaller fish. Semi-aggressive, similar sized fish make the best tankmates.

Feed sinking foods. They are scavengers and will accept just about anything. Keep the diet balanced with both meats and vegetables. While they are nocturnal, these fish will often feed during the day.

Sexing and breeding are not known.
