This fish is
known for is croaking or barking noises that can often be heard
from outside the aquarium.
The tank should include plants and rocky areas for hiding. Driftwood
may be appropriate but is not in this specie's natural environment,
the choice is up to you. Strong filtration and weekly water changes
are recommended. This fish is sensitive to poor water conditions.
Monitor nitrate levels closely. This fish is very gentle and
will live peacefully with community fish. A larger community
aquarium is recommended though. Use a soft substrate to avoid
damage to the fish.
Feed sinking foods, both vegetable and meat based.
Breeding has not been reported. |
