Detailed Description:

This catfish can be better identified by it's second common name, White Whisker Catfish or some variation of this. This fish will be very dark brown or black in base color. It will have a red tail. The whiskers will be long, and white at the tips. The underbelly will also be white. However, this fish is very large and is not usually recommended for the home aquarium. These fish are rare. If found, they will be expensive.
These fish are very strong. They have been known to break heaters and filters, as well as uproot plants and knock over decorations. They must be provided with proper territory, if not they will fight. An angry two foot fish is a bad idea. They should be kept with fish of equal size. Rocky caves and structures, dense plants, Hard and slightly alkaline water are all appropriate.

Feed Carnivorous foods. Beefheart, chunks of fresh meat, or live feeders are preferred.

Sexing and breeding are unknown.
